Chapter 30 Kafir

Caesar would not easily believe someone who had lied to him once, but since Kafir pretended to know everything, he still decided to listen.

Kafir's goal is the ruins. He deliberately controlled Levi and caught Ebner, who was not much on guard. It is obviously much more reasonable to keep Ebner trapped in the illusion.

"Of course I want to keep him, but what can I do? He's too cautious, he wasted his foolish appearance, and actually added another layer of enchantment on the outside of the ruins in advance, and it will automatically open when he passes out. It's gone." Kafir slowly raised a finger and shook it: "Ten high-purity spar, tsk tsk, it's really easy to get your hands on. Although that thing consumes too much energy, it won't last long, but five days is enough I can't bear it, I mean, it only takes three days for those old men from the Mage Association to find out that something is wrong, and I don't have the strength to confront them head-on."

He pretended to sigh, and continued: "I have to say that being a bad person is really tiring, and there are endless emergencies. I had to change my plan. I originally planned to get you out directly, but I didn't expect that Levi's blood was too much. Pure, the little pets sent in the past don't want to come back. So I have to do my best to do something small, and pray that you are not idiots."

Caesar looked at him coldly without saying a word.

Those words may or may not be true, but Kafir should have had a similar reason for letting them go.In any case, his reasons for keeping himself alone are worth pondering.

"You don't need to be so vigilant, I'm just talking to you." Kafir patted the empty space beside him friendly, and motioned Caesar to go over: "While the annoying elf is not here."

Caesar glanced at the dark sofa in disgust, and remained motionless.

Kafir crossed his fingers, propped his chin, and showed a sly smile: "Don't you care why I keep you here? Come here, I'll tell you when I come here."

Nishizawa half-closed his eyes, walked over silently, and sat down.

Kafir leaned closer and put his hand on Caesar's shoulder.

Caesar waved it away without hesitation.

Kafir strikes again, Caesar swings again.

Kafir finally gave up, sighed faintly, and said, "Do you know why you hate me so much? Because the same sex repels each other. Caesar, our natures are very similar."

"..." Shocked by his tough logic, Caesar decided to remain silent.

Aware of Caesar's disapproval, Kafir chuckled: "Most of the time I approached you was out of interest, Caesar, and that's why we became friends."

Caesar frowned.

Kafir's skin is very fair, with green hair and narrow eyes, and his gentle and harmless smile is still exactly the same as when we first met. When he spoke it was even brisk, and if they weren't in a hallucination of nothingness it would have been a simple conversation between friends.

Yes, friend, Caesar would never admit such meaningless things, but now he suddenly feels a little reluctant to speak.

But Kafir didn't care about Caesar's obvious rejection. He found a more comfortable position, nestled his whole body into the dark sofa, and assumed the posture of planning to have a long talk: "What is needed to break the seal? It is magical knowledge, soul aptitude, and determination. Determination is rooted in goals, or expectations, or more straightforwardly, desires. Wealth, power, beauty... Although people have all kinds of things rooted in Worldly desires, but generally speaking, everyone is working hard to live a better life, isn’t it? And people with such desires, when they try to break the seal, will inevitably be ashamed of the outcome of the matter. Their expectations didn't match up and they faltered."

Caesar glanced at him, and then said lightly: "If you hide the part of the information that the world will be destroyed..."

"It's a good idea, but it's just taken for granted." Kafir smiled happily: "The seal array is changing all the time, and those who want to unlock it need to adapt to the situation. If you are not careful, you will die without a place to bury you. It may be based on pure memory, or someone else's guidance. But as long as you study this formation, you will discover that fact."

"Then only a lunatic can break the seal." Caesar said coldly.

"I guess I'm really a lunatic." Kafir nodded kindly, then raised the corners of his mouth and showed a brighter smile: "But do you know why I approached you?" He said firmly: "Because you are also a qualified madman."

Caesar: "..."

"Remember where the first meeting was at the academy? You know that normal people don't go to that kind of place in the middle of the night for research. Obviously magic is the most important thing to you, far above life, or whatever above things.” Kafir said softly, “As for the astonishing amount of knowledge that has been dissipated long ago, the memory of the Primordial Demon God, I don’t believe you can reject all of these, even if you only have them for a few seconds. Caesar, you have this qualification, because your desire is different from ordinary people, and only by opening the seal can your desire be satisfied."

Caesar stared at him, emotion flashed in his eyes.

He is indeed fascinated by the knowledge handed down from the ancient times, but he doesn't believe in Kafir, so he won't do anything until he really figures things out.

"You want me to break the seal? I haven't hated the world to this extent yet."

"I think people are very accurate, Caesar. You will go there in the end, and people cannot escape fate." Kafir turned his head and said softly: "Every effect has already been planted, so people attribute it to Fate. From the time you picked up the first magic book, you were destined to come to this point."

Caesar looked at him expressionlessly: "If you want to convince me, please find a better reason."

Kafir suddenly laughed softly, as if Caesar's words were a funny joke.In the next second, he flipped his wrist, and the short sword flashed a cold light. The sharp blade lay across Caesar's neck. A wound half a centimeter long appeared on his fair skin immediately. Bright red blood ran across his Adam's apple and fell into the deep in the collar.

Caesar watched Kafir stand up slowly with a blank expression, as calm as if he wasn't the one who was cut.

"Your reaction is really boring." Kafir put away his smiling face and shrugged boredly: "Forget it, let's get back to this topic, why should I keep you—the answer is actually, I need A sacrifice."

He took some time to observe Caesar's face, and found that the latter was as calm as ever, so he showed an expression of "this guy is really boring", and continued: "I risked attracting the Masters Association in the academy. Of course, there are good reasons for placing dark creatures. I need to draw a magic circle big enough, and ghosts, soul worms in the library, and world fish are the fulcrums for magic implementation."

Caesar was stunned for a moment, and he found that the three directions indeed formed an approximate isosceles triangle.

"It took me a long time to prepare, but something went wrong. The Jieyu and the soul worm stayed where they were, but the ghost was sealed by you and brought to another place. Summoning another dark creature is not easy I don't have enough time, and the power given to me by the Demon God has been tossed to the point. So I have to think of another way."

Caesar's heart moved, and he half-closed his eyes, watching the curve of the other's mouth getting bigger and bigger.

"What do you think I came up with?" Kafir smiled, but his green eyes shone with a stern light like ice: "If you ruined my plan, you should make up for it."

The author has something to say:

If you find that Kafir's words are a bit loopy...haha yes, at least half of this guy is talking nonsense
