East of Eden

It was the spring of 2020 when I started writing "Eden of the East", and it was interrupted for 2 years due to various reasons. It was the end of spring of 2022 when I finished writing it.This precious and painful journey for me is finally coming to an end here.

I think this story probably broke down. I could have given up. In fact, I have done so, but people seem to be a seasonal animal. When the cherry blossoms bloom in spring, I walk on the road at night. Looking at the lights in the surrounding neighborhoods, I always think of the excitement in my heart when I first conceived this article.

Cang Xing, Liang Chen and many other characters are calling out to me, telling me not to stop their stories at the original point.So I had a hot head, gritted my teeth and finished writing it. The process seemed to be wrestling with myself, as if my left hand and right hand were slapping myself at the same time.

Stand-alone writing tortures me all the time. I am not a person who can endure loneliness. During writing, insomnia and anxiety are common things, and taking drugs to survive has become a habit.But when "East Yi" is over, I still think it's worth it, but there won't be a next time.

At the beginning of the conception, my earliest idea was: to write about a declining ancient civilization, an ancient warrior wandering in the modern age like a steppenwolf, pieced together memories, and finally found that what destroyed the former civilization was the ambition and desire of modern people.

I was thinking about how to combine the stories from 3000 years ago with the current ones with less vulgar "cycles". It's perfunctory, but it still falls into a cliché when written.What nonsense such as "Gate of Time and Space", "New World", "Parallel World" has already made me laugh at myself.
