We started from the entrance and went up a little bit. There are many cute gadgets, trinkets, handicrafts, souvenirs, and various traditional Taiwanese snacks. Walking to a shop selling Caoguo Kueh, Xiao Zhen bought me a mung bean stuffed Kueh, which seems to be made with a kind of wild plant juice and glutinous rice noodles. There are sweet and salty ones, the glutinous taste is mixed with the unique fragrance of green grass, and the mung bean paste is soft and sweet, which is delicious, but you still can't eat too much, it will be difficult to digest.

While eating, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Jiufen. The taro balls taste good. The balls inside are hand-kneaded with sweet potatoes, taro and flour, and they are very elastic. There are also big red beans to match, it will not be too sweet, and the soup is ice-cold and sweet. We are eating cute taro balls, while admiring the green mountain scenery outside the window, it is really pleasant .

After eating the taro balls, Xiao Zhen took me to the famous Shengping Theater, which is the filming location of the movie "City of Sadness". It is an old theater with a sense of history. I heard that there will be performances now, and the seats inside are still reserved. The wooden benches of the old days were covered with red carpets, and we took pictures at the door as souvenirs.

There are many shops selling freshly squeezed juices and fruits on the street, and I saw some selling that kind of white bitter gourd juice, which is really strange. I guess it must be very bitter and difficult to drink. Xiao Zhen even asked me to buy it and try it. Look, I don't have the courage to drink bitter gourd juice, but I saw a tree tomato for sale, because I haven't tried it, we bought two. The shape of the tree tomato is oblong, and the taste is not very delicious. The skin is a little thick, not too sweet, and there are a lot of black seeds inside. I walked around along the way, took pictures, and ate several things, including brown sugar mochi, iron eggs, etc. At around 12 o'clock in the afternoon, I said I was tired because they were all steps up and down. Zhen took me to the famous Amei Teahouse for food and drinks. Amei Teahouse is a wooden building with three floors. There are strings of red lanterns hanging outside the dark red wooden building, hidden among the green hills and green trees. The scenery is very beautiful, and there is the signature of Weng Qianyu, a famous Japanese movie star, on the door.

The menu of Amei Teahouse is also very distinctive. At the beginning of the chapter, there is a story about the teahouse and the owner. I heard that Amei Teahouse is the prototype of the house of Granny Tang in Spirited Away. Although the decoration inside is still Chinese, the equipment is early. It has been modernized, and there are many popular milk tea or fruit juice drinks on the menu. We did not order tea, but drank freshly squeezed juice, because the local fruits in Taiwan are delicious, and the juice is naturally delicious.
