Chapter 9 The Rusty Door Lock

The delicate evening wind blows with the fragrance of unknown flowers and trees, the night sky is clear, and the stars seem to land on the tip of the grass one by one.

A bean of green light keeps appearing and disappearing, like breathing, swimming in the air.

It approached slowly, calmly and gently, and stopped on Yao An's shoulder.

The fireflies crouched on the flat ground, as if they had found a suitable place, and the light gradually faded.

Yao An lowered his eyes and touched its tail with his nails.

After a while, he raised his head, cocked his legs, rocked the chair back and forth, and counted the stars boredly.

He sat in the middle of the courtyard, bathed in a chandelier on the eaves, and the orange light poured over his head.

The door behind him opened and closed, there were slight footsteps, and then the rusty rusty lock, which lasted for a while.

When the chair was leaning forward, Yao An jumped up, supported the back of the chair, and looked at the closed toilet door.

When the Ruoyou Ruowu sound of water sounded, he smiled very successfully, hummed a song and stepped into the room.

Grandpa and grandma just went out for a walk, the room was empty, and a furtive shadow was cast on the wall, picking up a black bag from the nanmu bed, climbing onto the bed, putting the bag on top of the wardrobe, and Cover it with sundries.

All in one go.

Yao An got out of bed, put on his shoes, and walked out the door whistling.

Almost at the second of stepping out the door, the surroundings fell into darkness with a "swish".

Yao An immediately thought that the light bulb had blown, subconsciously trembled, and covered his head.

Soon, he realized that it wasn't the sound of a light bulb blowing.

His eyes adapted to the darkness, he looked out, except for the star lamp, there was no light, it was all black.

It must have been a power outage.

He coughed twice, feeling a little ashamed just now, but luckily no one saw it.

people……

Yao An snorted secretly, and ran towards the east of the house.

The rusty door lock screamed, hoarse and harsh, echoing in the small and damp toilet.

Yao Jianqi broke the lock stick, but the door lock seemed to be against him, and he couldn't pull it open no matter what, the harder he tried, the more futile it became.

The sudden darkness seemed to grab his throat, and he pressed against the door with trembling hands.

Yao Jianqi forced himself to take a deep breath, and the few seconds were endlessly prolonged. He pulled the door lock relentlessly, and thumped the door twice.

Useless.

His strength is too small.

"Yes, is there anyone..." He heard his own voice, which was fragmented.

He almost slides to the ground.

"Hey, Yao Jianqi!"

Yao An's voice came through the hollow board clearly and thoroughly.

Yao Jianqi felt a sharp pain in his ear against the door, but he became much more awake.

"Are you okay? Huh?" Yao An anxiously tugged on the door outside, "Open the door."

Yao An heard the sound of the door lock being pulled repeatedly, and...

"Can't open."

The words are weak, and falling on the ground will not weigh much more than a feather.

But he still heard it.

"Wait for me, don't move around."

The sound of Yao An's footsteps quickly faded away.

The surroundings returned to silence, but it seemed that it was no longer so cramped, and even the air would not become a kind of oppression.

Not long after, the window of the toilet was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

"Damn it, it's a good thing it's unlocked."

Yao An put his hands on the window frame, climbed up the window sill, and jumped on the floor.

The water stains on the floor were still wet, and his foot twisted violently.

Swallowing the pain in his mouth, he stretched out his hand to Yao Jianqi and said, "Come."

Yao Jianqi crouched in the corner without moving.

The thin curtains were blown up by the wind, and the moonlight leaked in, illuminating the brightness in the corners of his eyes.

Yao An was startled.

He put down his hand and slowly moved to Yao Jianqi.

Yao Jianqi was too young.

His toes were barely exposed in the blue slippers, and the clothes on his body were spacious and sloppy, and a large part was soaked by the water that he didn't have time to dry.

When he looked at Yao An, Yao An felt that he was like a baby that just broke its shell.

Yao An stroked his hair, and after a while, carefully pulled him into his arms, comforting him: "It's okay, see you when it's okay."

In the quiet night, the bed board creaked again. Not long after, a small hand stretched out from under the quilt and touched the head of the bed.

After grabbing twice, they were all in vain, and scratched a few times in disappointment, and had to shrink back.

Yao An opened his eyes amidst the rustling sound of the quilt, he yawned and raised his head.

"Still asleep?" he asked.

The electric fan was turning left and right, and from time to time, the mosquito net on the wooden bed was lifted and brushed against Yao Jianqi's nose.

He didn't feel sleepy at all, he coughed twice as a response to Yao An's inquiry.

"Are you still afraid?" Yao An asked again.

Yao Jianqi shook his head, and suddenly realized that the other party couldn't see.

Through the gauze and the starlight projected by the round mirror, he vaguely saw Yao An lift up the blanket and half prop up his upper body, as if he was about to come.

Yao Jianqi buried half of his face in the pillow, with his lips pressed against the cotton wool, and said in a small voice, "No."

Yao An really stopped moving.

He found it very strange.

Today, I actually heard Yao Jianqi say a few words.

It's not like what Wynn and Kangzi said at all. The little guy not only understands Chinese, but also speaks it very standard.

Yao An withdrew his elbows and fell back on the bed, his sleepiness had been dispelled a lot.

The scene in the toilet a long time ago flashed before his eyes again. Yao Jianqi was in his arms, like the cat at home whose leg was broken by a mousetrap, with a wounded expression.

You shouldn't be afraid of the dark, don't you turn off the lights when you sleep?

Quiet... claustrophobic?

Not too.

Really big head.

Early the next morning, Yao An was woken up.

At first he thought it was grandma calling him to get up, but he opened his eyes in a daze, and it was Yao Jianqi's sullen face in the early morning light.

Yao An rubbed his eyes, waited for his vision to clear up a bit, and after confirming that it was correct, he thought, hey, the little brat will return to his soul after sleeping, right?

"Why?" He stretched.

Yao Jianqi flipped the corner of his quilt, as if he was looking for something.

Yao An understood most of it at the moment, and couldn't help snickering.

Yao Jianqi saw it and stopped searching, but stared intently at Yao An.

Yo ho.

Yao An sat up calmly, leaning his back against the Aaron Kwok poster on the wall, nodded and said, "Yes, I took it."

Yao Jianqi seemed a little surprised, but it was more expected. He spread his hands with the palms up, the meaning was obvious.

"Children can't eat too much sugar." Yao An said to himself, "especially when changing teeth."

His tone was deliberately serious, as if he was not a child in the eyes of others.

Yao Jianqi still maintained his original posture, looking rather sloppy.

"If you say you can't do it, you can't do it." Yao An was stunned by his stare, and his voice was a little louder to embolden himself, "I've never seen you who love candy so much, and you will feel comfortable after a bite of tooth decay."

He got out of bed, slipped on his slippers, grabbed Yao Jianqi's hand that was stretched out in front of him, and shook it back: "Go brush your teeth."

Yao Jianqi led Yao An all the way to the washstand. During this period, he struggled several times but failed. Yao An took down the mouthwash cups hanging on the wall one by one, hummed a tune, and pulled out his trouser waist.

Yao Jianqi moved a few more times in vain, finally he was out of breath, and opened his mouth to bite Yao An's finger.

Yao An paused.

The knuckles were held by a piece of bare gum meat, not only did not hurt, but even a little itchy.

Two seconds later, the laughter of the grandson of the Yao family awakened the Anding Village for a new day.
