Chapter 6

That's an amazing guy.

Arthur thought.

He has been very popular since he was a child, and many men who concealed his sexuality used to flirt with him, and he does not lack friends who treat him sincerely, but Merlin is an outlier in his entire social circle.

This guy is not very coordinated with his hands and feet, but he likes to dance and describe things he is interested in. His slender limbs are swaying like a flexible puppet, which is very beautiful; when he walks, he is performing some kind of happy stage. The drama is generally excited, and often when talking about something, he rushes to the front with excitement, and his voice raises a little.

Arthur has to admit that the ideas and things expressed through him in this way are very attractive, and just seeing his enthusiasm makes people want to pander to him and keep him happy.

That's a weird thing, Arthur thought, he'd hardly thought about pleasing anyone. Uther doesn't count.

"Where are we going?" Merlin and he wandered on the river beach, the tiny pebbles scratching the soles of their feet, other than that, the two of them talked one after the other, and the atmosphere wasn't awkward when they didn't say a word , like two friends who know each other well, just enjoying the company of each other's "existence", rather than relying on each other's emotions or even wisdom.

"I don't know, which direction is your home?"

"Over there," Merlin waved his finger to the east, and Arthur looked up before he finished speaking, "You live in the Tate Gallery? Well, maybe you ran out of some classic painting, then Makes sense." The young man shrugged.

Merlin glanced at him. "Of course not, you idiot." He muttered, guessing what "running out of the classics" meant.

"I should go," Arthur said.

"Where?"

"Will you come?"

"Can I…?" Merlin's eyes gleamed with the reflection of the Thames against the night sky.

Arthur looked at him for a while and smiled, "Next time, I don't want to scare you." He blinked.

"Oh yeah, unless something really scares me." Merlin rolled his eyes, Arthur didn't respond, just shrugged and gave him a final smile before turning away, "So see you at the bar?" Merlin asked behind him, blonde The man turned his back and waved his hands away.

"I'm not going to be scared," Merlin muttered, staring in the direction he was going. "At this point..."

He was wrong.

The next day Merlin heard the sound of loud heels hitting the floor getting closer during his break at work, and when he looked up in the cubicle, he saw Morgana.

"Uh... hi?" Merlin put on a pathetic look, but the Scarlet Queen wouldn't take it.

"You haven't called me for five days." She said, walking into Merlin's already narrow cubicle, the surrounding colleagues were already curiously poking around, why did such a beautiful woman go into Merlin's cubicle Li—their eyes growled like that.

"Because... I'm busy?" Merlin's chair was pushed against the partition, as far away from Morgana as possible, but their legs were still almost touching, even though Merlin was trying so hard to stagger the contact.

"Busy flirting with my brother? Can't blame you." The dark-haired witch—her beauty would have been burned at the stake in the Middle Ages—flicked her hair, and Merlin saw that her nails were not bright red but Deeper...cherry red, or the red of the pool of virgin blood at Bloody Mary's Castle.

"I'm not flirting with Arthur…," Merlin retorted weakly.

"Well, that's your loss. Listen Merlin, we need to talk, it's obviously not a good idea here, I can't wait until the evening, I'll pick you up at noon, don't try to hide, if you still want to see my brother if."

Morgana poked Merlin's collarbone with the tip of her shapely finger, turned and walked away.Merlin didn't let out the breath until the sound of her heels died away.

"Who is she!?" "What's your relationship with her!?" "Are you going on a date?" Then, colleagues roared over.

At noon, Merlin saw Will by Morgana's car.

"I can't let you be with such a beautiful girl, especially when you already have someone in your heart." Will seemed to completely forget about being angry, and followed his friend into the car.

Merlin rolled his eyes in relief and muttered, "Can you forget about my heart?"
