Sherlock resumed his routine of giving John the pills.

The first time he shoved the pill into his mouth, John spat it out.

"Sherlock, there's nothing to threaten me with taking this goddamn pill."

He patiently took out another piece and smiled: "What about Mary?"

John was taken aback, and then he also laughed: "You still have to use your 'rival' to contain me. As I said, you are so pitiful."

Sherlock took a deep breath: "John, you really have the ability to make me angry."

"Thank you. I don't think you can do anything to Mary."

"Do you think a detective with a high IQ would feel timid about crimes? I can easily make her disappear," his eyes were cold. "John is dead, and you are no longer a couple."

"I still have a duty to her," John whispered. "She knows I'm alive."

"She will be hurt because of you."

John lowered his head and sniffed: "Bring the pills."

"I have nothing to do with Mary from now on."

At this time, on the other side of London, Mary, who had been waiting for a day and night but did not get any news, couldn't sit still. She looked at the window vigilantly and walked out the door after finding nothing unusual.

She decided to call the police before the agreed third day.

Scotland Yard took John's disappearance very seriously, and Inspector Lestrade told Mary that they would search London.

"God, I think I need to contact Sherlock, he should know something," Lestrade said to Mary.

Mary hesitated to speak, and John's abnormal reaction before his disappearance gave her a little bad speculation.

"I think this incident...may have something to do with Sherlock." Mary whispered after the police officers dispersed, "John's attitude towards Sherlock was very strange before he disappeared."

"What's going on with Sherlock that got John involved?" Lestrade blurted out, and they Scotland Yard were almost used to Sherlock's increased workload for them, such as explosions and gunshots where he walked. As well as criminals, everyone around them suffers together.

And the person who got involved the most was his roommate and assistant John.So Lestrade seriously suspected that John had been taken hostage again.

As for the skill of "being kidnapped", John is quite good at it.

Mary couldn't figure out the situation either, so she could only shake her head blankly.

"I'll call Sherlock and ask," the Inspector said.

John was dozing off when Sherlock's bell rang.Because he insisted on staying up all night yesterday without closing his eyes, and the scars on his body were still burning with pain.

Sherlock frowned slightly when he saw the caller's name, and picked up the phone.

"Sherlock, John is missing, you know that?"

"Oh, I don't know yet, what's going on?" He glanced at John, whose eyes were fighting, and replied calmly.

"Where are you now? We need your help to find John."

John woke up when he heard the call, and shouted with all his strength: "Lest..."

"I'll be soon..." Sherlock covered his mouth quickly, "Here!"

Lestrade seemed to hear John's voice, but couldn't be sure. After experiencing the last incident where the wrong detective caused him to jump off the building, he was even less willing to guess. The long life in Scotland Yard had made him a little numb.He doesn't have so much passion for the case, he just hopes that his life will be stable and his relatives and friends will be by his side.

He'd always thought of Sherlock and John as best friends.

Forever.
