Chapter 29

"Snapped."

A loud slap hit Yeorman's face. His pale skin with cyan veins showing faintly, coupled with a red and particularly obvious palm print, has a different kind of aesthetic feeling that provokes abuse.

"This is my father." Ymir said.

Tears flowed from his eyes and fell to the ground drop by drop. His eyes were red, like a frightened little rabbit that was about to rush up and bite someone in the next moment.

"Why now? Why did you come back now?" His voice choked up, almost speechless.

Yeoerman looked at him quietly, with lingering eyes, as if looking at his lover in the previous life.

"The day I left Carver, the day your father had an accident, do you remember what day it was?"

"yes, I remember."

"So, tell me, what day is it?"

"My birthday."

The birthday party, running around in the courtyard to find hidden birthday presents, a pair of small black and white leather shoes every year, all these scenes were played back in front of Ymir's eyes like a movie film.

The smile on Yeorman's face was gentle and affectionate, "I've been waiting." He said, "Waiting for you, waiting for you to grow up."

He bent down, and took out a pair of small black and white leather shoes from the light gold box with a dark red ribbon that Ymir was familiar with in the bag.He knelt down on one knee, carefully picked up Ymir's bare feet, and put them into the shoes one by one.

"Happy birthday, Ymir."

Yeoerman lowered his head and gently kissed Ymir who was full of tears.
