Star Trek

Chapter 44

If you want to know, it's okay to tell you. "

Jim's eyes lit up: "Satisfy my curiosity?"

Spock took the feathered bowler hat from Jim and put one hand behind his head. "I'm going to see my doctor. I've made an appointment with him at midnight."

Jim asked, "Are you sick?"

Spock replied, "No. Just a routine check."

Jim's curiosity swelled and swelled like a cloud about to explode.

Wherever Spock went, Jim followed.

Spock opens the door, and Jim tries to squeeze out too.

It was snowing slowly outside. Spock pursed his lips. "You're not allowed to walk with me."

Jim asked, "Why?"

Spock replied, "Private meeting."

Jim said, "Maybe the doctor likes me. I'm very attractive."

Spock replied, "Doctors aren't human."

Jim blinked curiously: "Then what is he?"

Those sapphire eyes made Spock shudder. He replied, "A skeleton."

"Oh." Jim shook his head. "Bone. Well, I'm not going with you."

Spock is satisfied.

He walked into the snow with an umbrella as black as midnight, and the snowflakes fell on the umbrella. After walking a certain distance, he always felt that something was wrong, and turned around worryingly.

Sure enough, Jim never let him worry.

Jim's face and hands pressed against the glass, mouthing him goodbye.

Jim can't walk through his house at will.Only his can't.

Spock began to reevaluate his decision: did he pick up a do-it-all valet, or a little ghost that would only worry him?

Goodnight, Spock tells him.

The greeting was far away and silent, through the snow and night, warm as a net, to Jim at the window.

People often get sleepy when they feel warm and comfortable. The same goes for ghosts.

Jim yawned and watched Spock disappear into the snowy night.

He doesn't really need sleep, but he likes it.

He likes to dream.

Sweet, dreamy, wonderful.Many many many.

And... about Spock.

~~

Jim's attention was caught by the rustle of conversation.

One voice is Spock, the other is a stranger.

Spock said, "I appreciate your concern, but I'm pretty sure I'm in pretty good health, doctor."

The doctor said, "To hell with you!"

Spock said, "If you mean disembodied souls, then I already have one here."

The doctor yelled, "I still can't believe it. You picked up a ghost?"

Spock replied, "I don't see anything wrong with that."

The doctor said, "Damn, you're a vampire - you need human blood! Ghosts don't have blood."

Spock disagrees, "I don't drink human blood. I've said that several times, Doctor. I hope you still remember it."

The doctor is annoyed: "Of course I know the hell. But you need blood, Spock, and you can't be a vegetarian, can you? That would turn you into a rabbit!"

Spock said, "Trust me, Doctor, I'm not going to turn into a mammalian lagomorph by cutting off my blood supply."

The doctor was so angry that he didn't want to talk to him.

The doctor doesn't speak, and neither does Spock. He's very good at being patient.

After a while, the doctor was still defeated. He muttered, "Okay. Let me meet your ghost sweetheart."

Spock said, "Jim isn't my sweetheart. He's my servant."

The doctor said, "Okay, let me meet your ghost servant, sweetheart."

The two pushed the door open, and Jim looked up to see the Spock he was familiar with, and the other one he wasn't familiar with. That's the doctor Spock was talking about.

The doctor is a skeleton in a cape.Somehow, Jim could see that he was furious. The anger was irritable and lazy, hovering over the skeleton and looking at him in blank dismay.

"My Satan." The doctor stares at him intently, then turns to Spock.

Spock didn't respond to the former, keeping his gaze on Jim.

Spock furrows his eyebrows and asks tentatively, "What are you… doing, Jim?"

What is Jim doing?

Jim sat on the bed, wrapped in a bunch of small light bulbs that came from nowhere, flashing, flashing, and a little translucent ghost sitting in the middle, with lights on his arms, messy hair, and rumpled clothes and quilts , the light transmittance on his body was getting higher and higher, and he was almost on fire surrounded by light.

The little ghost scratched his head embarrassedly.

oops.

Accident, surprise.

45. 【Spirk】For clouds and night

The doctor is a skeleton, but he has green eyes.

He was wearing a black cloak, holding a tall scepter, and his eyes were like two lamps.

Jim greeted, "Hello, Mr. Skeleton."

The doctor said, "I'm not a skeleton, I'm a grim reaper."

Jim asked, "What's your name?"

The doctor replied: "McCoy, Leonard McCoy."

Jim rubbed his nose. "Okay, Bones."

The doctor raised his eyebrows: "Bones"

Jim spread his hands: "Because you are the sub-skeleton."

The doctor said, "I'm not a skeleton, I'm a grim reaper."

Jim replied: "Okay."

Jim smiled at him: "Bones"

His eyes are blue and bright, even if the whole body is translucent, the azure blue cannot be discounted in the slightest.Mr. Reaper froze for a moment, covered his chest, and coughed.

The doctor sighed: "Okay, kid, you can call him whatever you like."

Jim is content with the title, too: he really is a brat.

The Ghost and the Grim Reaper have a friendly meeting by the fireplace of the vampire's home, eating all of Spock's delicacies in grandeur. The pumpkin pies were baked, and Jim hopped to bring them up.

Two for Spock, one for McCoy, and the rest for himself.

McCoy frowned: "You don't need to eat, kid."

Jim ate with crumbs all over his mouth: "I know."

"You can't digest after eating," McCoy said.

Jim sucks his finger: "I know."

The doctor stared at him, waiting for his explanation.

Jim changed his sitting position: "Eating something will make me feel better, and it will make me brighter."

McCoy circled him suspiciously, well, the little ghost's light was indeed unstable. He's brighter when he's happy, and darker means he's equally down.

"Hope you don't have indigestion," McCoy said.

Jim laughs. "I thought you were Spock's doctor."

"I could be everybody's doctor," McCoy said.

Jim asked, "You're a skeleton. How are you going to heal?"

McCoy tapped the ground with his scepter, and a plume of black smoke billowed from Spock's expensive rug.

McCoy: "I take people away. Death is the best medicine."

Jim said, "But I don't want to die."

McCoy replied, "You've been dead a long time, kid."

Jim picks up the second piece of pumpkin pie: "Exactly the same pitch as Spock. I hate you guys. I know I'm dead, don't point it out."

The doctor found it very interesting to make the kid angry.Poor Mr. Reaper hadn't expected it at all, and Jim later thought so too.

They had a long talk like a tug-of-war, from dawn to dusk. Jim tells his own life - what happened after he died; and in return, McCoy tells some interesting stories about the first (and only) time a human saw death.

It was getting late, and Mr. Vampire woke up. Spock was still in his black silk nightgown, and his gait was graceful and silent.

Spock came to the living room and saw his friend chatting with the servant.

For some reason, he felt a little unhappy. It was like a group of little ants crawling across his stomach and gnawing at his heart.

Oh, he almost forgot, his heart stopped beating a long time ago.

Mr. Vampire was condescending and commanding: "Prepare my morning tea, servant."

Jim didn't move: "I'm not called a servant."

Spock repeated: "Make my morning tea, Jim."

Jim got up from the couch and stretched. "Okay, okay, Spocky."

McCoy opened his mouth wide. "Who the fuck is Spocky?"

Spock is unimpressed: "Watch your language, doctor."

McCoy replied: "I haven't had time to teach you, you cold-blooded monster. You can't have tea for breakfast, you have to eat blood-this is a warning from the doctor."

Spock sat down where Jim left him. "I've got this warning."

In the past, McCoy always felt that his own skeleton was a very scary existence. He can use this appearance to intimidate all disobedient patients.

But when he's up against Spock—and now with Jim—he feels like an old father who can't handle rebellious children.

He is glad that he can grow without wrinkles, and his hair can be white without hair.

Sometimes it's so good to be a skeleton, don't worry about getting old
