Chapter 66

Harry jerked his wand over his shoulder, but Malfoy struck on the first count of two: his wand hit Harry so hard that Harry felt as if he'd been hit on the head by a saucepan .He staggered a bit, but it was okay, everything seemed to be working, so Harry seized the moment, pointed his wand directly at Malfoy, and yelled, "Grin huh huh!"

A flash of silver light hit Malfoy in the stomach, and he bent over, gasping for breath.

"I said, just disarm!" Lockhart yelled in horror to the fighting crowd from above.

Malfoy fell to his knees; Harry hit him with a tickling magic, and he was so limp from laughing he couldn't move.Harry hesitated, feeling vaguely that it would be unethical to cast a spell on Malfoy while he was on the ground, but he was wrong.I saw Malfoy panting desperately, aiming his wand at Harry's knee, and panting with a smile: "Tarantella dance!" Immediately, Harry's legs twitched uncontrollably, It's like dancing a jig.

"Stop! Stop!" Lohar screamed, but Snape took the reins. "Curse stop!" he yelled; Harry's feet stopped dancing, Malfoy stopped laughing wildly, and they both finally looked up.

A puff of green smoke filled the entire venue.Neville and Justin were both lying on the floor, panting; Ron grabbed the ashen-faced Seamus and apologized for the disaster his broken wand caused; while Hermione and Millicent were still on the move; Leeson clamped Hermione's head, and Hermione cried out in pain. Both of their wands were forgotten on the floor.

"Are they wrestling? Disarm you. They thought it was... Oh, hey, Jacqueline!" Pansy lazily cast a spell on Jacqueline while watching the farce around her. She thought that Jacqueline would be able to avoid it, so when Jacqueline's wand hit her head, she didn't react at all.

"What are you doing?" She handed her wand back to Jacqueline.

"That's interesting." Jacqueline looked back at Hermione, and took the wand from Pansy's hand. "Does she think Malfoy will tell Millicen the truth?"

"What?" Pansy asked curiously.

Jacqueline shook her head, and shouted at Pansy very quickly, "Disarm you." Then she grabbed the wand that was flying towards her, "Don't be distracted, Miss Parkinson."

"Jacqueline!"

"My God, my God," said Lockhart, bouncing around in the crowd, watching the aftermath of their duels, "you stand up, Ernie. Take care, Miss Fawcett. Squeeze hard, and the blood will be gone in a minute." Stop it, Boot."

"I think I'd better teach you how to stop unfriendly magic." Lockhart said, standing in the middle of the auditorium with a flustered expression. He glanced at Snape, saw a cold gleam in Snape's dark eyes, and looked away immediately. "Volunteer for a couple, please. How are you, Longbottom and Finlayly?"

"That's a bad idea, Professor Lockhart," said Snape, gliding across the stage like a large, vicious bat. "Longbottom can wreak havoc with the simplest of spells. We'll put the remains of Finlaye in a matchbox and send them to the hospital ward." Neville's round pink face blushed even more.

"How about Malfoy and Potter?" Snape said with a smirk. "Brilliant!" said Lockhart, motioning for Harry and Malfoy to move into the middle of the Great Hall as the people stepped back to make room for them. "Well, Harry," said Lockhart, "when Draco points his wand at you, you do it."

He raised his wand, waved it from side to side, trying to conjure complex tricks, and accidentally dropped it on the ground.Snape sneered, and Lockhart quickly picked up his wand and said, "Oh, my wand is a little overexcited."

Snape approached Malfoy, bowed his head and whispered to him for several decades.Malfoy also sneered.Harry looked up at Lockhart nervously, and said, "Professor, can you show me that way of stopping the spell again?"

"Scared," Malfoy whispered, out of Lockhart's ear.

"You're dreaming." Harry said these words from the corner of his mouth.Lockhart patted Harry on the shoulder happily. "Just do as I did, Harry!"

"What, drop your wand on the floor" But Lockhart wouldn't listen to him at all.

"One, two, three!" he yelled.

Malfoy raised his wand quickly and roared, "God out!" The head of his wand exploded.Harry watched in horror as a long black snake burst out of it, landed heavily on the floor between them, and raised its head, ready to strike. The crowd screamed and dodged back quickly to make way for the clearing.

"Don't move, Potter," said Snape lazily, obviously taking pleasure in seeing Harry standing there motionless, staring at the angry snake. "I'll take him away."

"Let me do it!" cried Lockhart. He raised his magic wand and waved it at the snake threateningly. Suddenly, there was a loud bang, and instead of disappearing, the snake jumped more than a foot high and fell back heavily to the floor.Furious, it swam straight towards Justin Fletcher, hissing and spitting out the letter, and then, it raised its head, bared its fangs, and assumed an attacking posture.
