Rebirth: I am in Jin-Cha-Ji

"There are no hunters in Heishan Village, so how could there be such a road?"
"Commander, Heishan Village used to be primarily inhabited by two families, the Li family and the Yu family. They often fought over water sources.
Later, the two sides negotiated and finally set a time limit for water use. The Li family was worried that the Yu family would steal water, so they secretly found a path on the north side of the mountain. As long as someone stood on it, many things could be seen clearly.
"There is such a thing."
"Yes."
“How many people can go up there?”
"I've been there before. Thirty to fifty people should be no problem.
It's quite steep over there and there are too many people and no room.
"it is good."
Zhang Zihua was overjoyed.
If thirty or fifty people go up there, they will be in a dominant position.
So Zhang Zihua immediately sent someone up.
About forty minutes later, someone returned. Zhang Zihua wanted to know the situation of the Japanese camp, and they happened to have a very clear view from up there. While Zhang Zihua was analyzing the intelligence, the troops of the New 1st Regiment also began to arrive. Jiang Hebai came to see Zhang Zihua. This was their first meeting, so they introduced themselves to each other. However, the matter was urgent, and there was no time for formalities.
Zhang Zihua said directly: "Both our families should gather up the mortars, mortar shells, and heavy machine guns in their hands. You see, the Japanese troops are mainly concentrated in these few places. We will immediately bombard these places with mortars and mortar shells, and then use heavy machine guns to clear the way, and the troops will quickly charge in. The Japanese have been chasing us for these days without a good rest, and they must be very tired. It is impossible for them to react immediately, so we will use this time. When deploying the troops, put two platoons in the front.
"Behind the two platoons is a company, behind each company is two companies. Finally, a battalion. The troops should advance like a wave, rolling forward and giving the Japanese no chance. As long as the front troops break into the village, the others will quickly follow."
How to attack enemy forces is also a tactic that the Eighth Route Army has been studying.
The Japanese army was a well-trained force.
Whether it was an ambush or a surprise attack, the key was to be fierce and fast. When attacking the Japanese army, the most taboo was to be slow, giving them time to build a defensive line. So that was how Zhang Zihua deployed his forces.
The troops advanced layer by layer and in waves.
If the vanguard is blocked, the rear troops will take over. Maintaining a strong offensive force will tear through the Japanese defenses and not give them a chance to catch their breath. Of course, this is not blind.
If the Japanese army had arranged defenses, they would not have attacked like this.
But now that we are launching a surprise attack on the Japanese army, we need to put this kind of pressure and attack on them.
"It's time to start."
"Boom boom boom"
"Boom boom boom—Zhang Zihua actually didn't have many mortars and grenade launchers.
But it was still very useful in this kind of sneak attack. The Japanese soldiers were exhausted physically and mentally, and except for some guards, everyone else fell into a deep sleep. At this time, they were suddenly attacked by mortars and grenade launchers, and they were completely unprepared.
The troops have already begun to charge forward.
By the time we reached the village entrance, heavy machine guns had already begun to set up positions.
Under the cover of heavy machine guns, the troops began to rush into the village.
With the district squad and militia leading the way, the troops were very familiar with the roads in the village.
In a few seconds, they found the location where the Japanese army was camping.
"Bang
"Da da da—the Japanese army was in a hurry, but they had already begun to organize defense and counterattack.
But the time is too short.
The Japanese army was suddenly hit, and the counterattack was only sporadic. By this time, the Japanese army had woken up, and Abe Nobuhide also came out.
"what happened?"
"General, we were attacked by the Eighth Route Army."
"how many people?"
"It's not clear yet. But there are at least 300 Eighth Route Army soldiers who have entered the village. And judging by the gunfire, there are more Eighth Route Army troops entering the village one after another.
"Organize defense and counterattack."
Abe Nobuhide didn't know the current situation, nor did he know how many casualties there were on his side.
But he knew that he had to build a defense as quickly as possible. Otherwise, if the Eighth Route Army rushed in and engaged in close combat, his advantage would be gone. Although he was attacked by the Eighth Route Army, Abe Nobuhide did not panic.
Because Abe Nobuhide believed in the combat effectiveness of his troops.
As long as we keep stable, the Eighth Route Army will not be able to really break in.
"Yes."
The person who came to Abe Nobuhide's side was Colonel Takashi Takao, the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 2nd Independent Mixed Brigade of the Japanese Army. Just as Takashi Takao received the order and walked out of the door, he suddenly fell to the ground with a "bang".
Abe Nobuhide immediately bowed down.
Then he looked at Gao Tianxiong and found that Gao Tianxiong's head was exploded.
Abe Nobuhide felt his legs go numb instantly. He had been in the army for over thirty years and had fought in many battles. Previously, he served in the 1st Division, earning praise from his superiors for his outstanding performance. This time, he was assigned to the Mongolian Army because the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region was rapidly expanding. The North China Front Army hoped that a "mountain warfare expert" like Abe Nobuhide would come and shake up the situation there.
Moreover, because of Abe Nobuhide's outstanding performance in the 1st Division, the headquarters was even preparing to promote Abe Nobuhide to lieutenant general.
So Abe Nobuhide is really full of confidence.
He had never thought that his life would be in danger coming here. But now he truly felt the threat of death. However, Abe Norihide was not a coward. Although he felt the threat of death, he still walked out slowly.
He was going to command the troops.
As he walked out of the door, he suddenly felt something was wrong. So he looked up and his face immediately turned ugly. Because he saw grenades thrown from above, and not just one or two, but dozens of grenades were thrown down.
Before he could dodge, the grenade fell.
"boom"
"Boom—boom—"
Chapter 256: Anti-Sweep Turning Point
1939 7 Month 12 Day.
Wang Qiuyun and Wei Hongjun were at the position of the First Guard Regiment.
伏击日军77独立大队和78独立大队的战斗,足足进行了14个小时。而警备一团在阵地上镇守了13个小时。开始日军只有79独立大队,后来增加了80独立大队,然后是76独立大队。
Coupled with the indiscriminate bombing by Japanese aircraft.
The security group is under the greatest pressure.
But I held on.
警备一团足足顶了13个小时。随着纵队全歼77独立大队和78独立大队,拼了命的想要突破警备一团阵地的日军76独立大队、79独立大队、80独立大队都缓缓地撤离了战场。
Thus ended the first large-scale ambush of the Eighth Column in the summer of 1939 against mopping-up operations.
In this ambush, the Eighth Column killed 1178 Japanese soldiers and captured 127, including over 80 seriously wounded. They also killed Shinichirō Nagumo, Major General and Commander of the 77th Independent Mixed Brigade; the Colonel Commander of the 78th Independent Battalion; and the Colonel Commander of the th Independent Battalion. They also killed seven Lieutenant Colonels. Shinichirō Nagumo became the second Japanese Major General killed by the Eighth Column.
In addition to ambushes, there were also brutal blocking battles.
After more than ten hours of blocking battles, the Japanese suffered staggering casualties. Post-war statistics showed over 280 Japanese corpses left on the battlefield, representing two infantry squadrons. These were only the bodies that the Japanese had not had time to collect and carry away.
Including the wounded Japanese soldiers, this blocking battle caused more than 600 casualties among the Japanese army.
It can be said that this battle dealt a heavy blow to the 15th Independent Mixed Brigade.
Two Japanese independent battalions were completely annihilated, and the 79th Independent Battalion was severely damaged. This single battle wiped out a third of the Japanese th Independent Mixed Brigade. In every sense, this was a resounding victory.
But Wang Qiuyun and Wei Hongjun were not happy.
The casualties were too great.
The Third Guard Regiment was responsible for splitting up the Japanese troops and was the first to rush forward.
Although the Japanese army was in a panic during the ambush, they still caused heavy casualties to the 3rd Guard Regiment. Moreover, the 3rd Guard Regiment was responsible for blocking the Japanese army from breaking out.
According to post-war statistics, the Third Guard Regiment suffered 313 deaths and 588 injuries, with a total casualties of 901.
Then came the 25th Regiment.
The 25th Regiment's mission was to, after the rd Guard Regiment had separated the Japanese troops, move forward and eliminate the Japanese troops in the encirclement one by one. The next ten hours or so were spent in eliminating these Japanese troops.
The casualties would be even greater because the Japanese army had already made good defenses, and the troops needed to break through the Japanese defenses and eliminate the Japanese troops in the encirclement.
Although the column had unleashed all its heavy weapons, in this face-to-face battle, the Eighth Route Army was at a complete disadvantage. At the most basic tactical capabilities, the Eighth Route Army was truly far inferior to the Japanese Army.
Japanese squad leaders were all graduates of military academies. While graduates of non-commissioned officer academies, prized in China, became squad leaders upon graduation in Japan. Meanwhile, many of the Eighth Route Army's company and platoon leaders were promoted on the front lines. Because the army expanded so rapidly, there wasn't enough time to train military officers. Instead, they chose veterans with outstanding performance.
These veterans have combat experience, but that doesn't mean they are qualified grassroots commanders.
Being able to fight a war yourself and commanding others to fight are two completely different things.
The consequence of promoting a large number of veterans to company and platoon positions was that the Eighth Route Army was severely disadvantaged against the Japanese in the most basic squad and platoon-level tactics. In the most basic infantry tactics, the Japanese had an absolute advantage. To the point that by the end of the battle, the 25th Regiment was completely exhausted, suffering heavy casualties.
454 people were killed and 724 were injured, for a total of 1178 casualties.
When the 25th Regiment was finally exhausted, the Shengxian County Battalion joined in. As a result, the County Battalion suffered heavy casualties: 177 killed, 331 wounded, for a total of 508 casualties.
Shengxian was the Eighth Column's stronghold, and the Shengxian County Battalion, with nearly 800 men, was a reinforced battalion. But after this battle, almost everyone was injured, and the troops were severely weakened.
Of course, the most serious casualties were suffered by the First Guard Regiment.
After more than ten hours of resistance and constant bombing by Japanese aircraft, the First Guard Regiment suffered 631 casualties and numerous wounded, nearly all of whom were injured. Over of them were seriously wounded.
It can be said that after this battle, the First Security Regiment was completely destroyed.
The Eighth Column suffered more than 3,000 casualties in this battle.
It can be said that all the mobile forces of the Eighth Column Command were consumed in one battle.
Wei Hongjun really admires Cao Zhen.
This was truly an exceptional general. Wei Hongjun had carefully studied the trenches of the First Guard Regiment. The trenches dug and the defensive lines deployed were truly exceptional. They weren't rigid, mechanical defenses, but trenches with enhanced depth and firepower.
However, this trench was still unable to completely protect against Japanese aircraft.
Compared with blocking the Japanese army, there were more casualties from air bombing.
"Commander and Political Commissar, the First Security Regiment successfully completed its mission and did not allow a single enemy soldier to enter the battlefield.
Seeing Wang Qiuyun and Wei Hongjun coming over, Cao Mo immediately saluted.
"Okay, okay. Please accept our respects, First Security Regiment."
