7 Chapter 7 - Plunder

Just like previously, when at the hospital, Milo activated his ability to view the other person's ability and selected the green icon above Krista's head. Just like last time the screen popped up that said:

Ability: Telepath detected

Conditions to copy met…

This time Milo selected yes. The minute Milo selected yes, his eyes glowed violet, his hair began to float and strange black chains shot out of his hands towards Krista, the minute it appeared Milo flinched thinking it would be painful for Krista, but the chains just wrapped around Krista and once they were wrapped around her they vanished into nothingness. The next second a screen popped up that read:

Free stat points have been gained from plundering a new ability

Tutorial has been generated based off current intelligence stat

Milo when reading this was a little worried as when reading closely it seemed like there may be a chance at his ability failing at copying an ability, even if he cleared the copying condition. The second thing he read intrigued him. The system would give him a tutorial on how to use an ability based on his intelligence stat so he could gain some starter knowledge that most ability users didn't get unless they had someone they knew that had a similar or identical ability.

When seeing the puzzled look on his face, Krista asked him if it had worked, she hadn't felt a change and still thought that maybe he was just messing around. Milo went on to explain the screen that popped up after plundering her ability and they decided that he should watch the tutorial to see what it was all about. The minute he clicked yes, a video popped up and a voice sounded in his head.

"Welcome to the tutorial section on your system, my name is Navi and I will be a guide in helping you to better learn the ins and outs of the Plunderer System. As your intelligence stat increases more tutorials will open about your plundered abilities, as your Magic Power stat increases you will be able to view more tutorials about the system itself."

Milo's eyes went wide hearing this, Navi went on to explain the basics of the telepath ability and said that a new tab would open on his status screen where tutorials could be viewed later. After learning the very basics due to his low intelligence stat. Krista asked if it had worked and the next second her eyes widened because she heard Milo's voice speak directly into her mind.

"Of course it did."

Krista was shocked, after finally calming down she and Milo went on to mull over the possibilities the system now opened up for him. Before going any further Milo wanted to pull up his status screen to see if there were any changes.

After opening his status panel he was surprised to see that 2 new tabs had opened. The tutorials tab was self explanatory but the plunder tab was new, he would check it after looking at more on the stats tab. The telepath ability filled his second ability slot as expected, but what he was confused about was why it said level 2, this was cleared up when Krista explained that she had trained it to the second level not too long ago, which according to the system only increased the range at which he could use the telepath ability. The second part that excited him was that he now had three stat points he could assign, he decided to put two into strength and one into his intelligence stat.
