Miracle Pill Maker Bullies the Boss

It was July, so the weather in the morning was rather cool.

Huo Yao walked over with Goofy and raised her brow when she saw the gorgeous man in front of her. “Morning.”

“Morning.” Min Yu’s voice sounded calm as he looked at Huo Yao.

Her complexion was flawless and she seemed languid. She looked completely different from the photos appearing on social media from Huo Xiang’s concert last night.

Min Yu sighed in his heart and felt somewhat disappointed about not being there before he said, “Happy birthday.”

Min Yu had already sent her a red packet last night. Huo Yao nodded and replied warmly. “Thanks.”

Goofy kept trying to lunge towards Min Yu. Huo Yao pressed her forehead and pulled the dog back so that he would not get close to Min Yu.

Min Yu glanced at Goofy. “He seems to have grown quite a bit.”

“He has a healthy appetite,” said Huo Yao in disdain.

Min Yu’s lips twitched.

The two of them walked around the lake. Since Goofy was particularly lively, Huo Yao took him off the leash after walking a short distance.

“Are your results coming out soon?” asked Min Yu and looked sideways at her.

“Uh huh. It’s out tomorrow.”

Huo Yao lowered her eyes slightly. They seemed to be in sync with every motion. A light wind swept by making some loose hair fall down to the corner of her lips.

Min Yu’s slender hands moved slightly before he suppressed his urge and said softly, “Have you decided what you want to study?”

Huo Yao raised her head and looked at the dog happily running up ahead. “Uh huh.”

She did not go into detail about what she wanted to major in.

Since Min Yu knew that she had her own plans, he did not probe further. Instead, he paused before asking. “Are you going to stay on campus or outside?”

“Probably outside. My third older brother has already found us a place.” Huo Yao played with the leash lazily with her hands behind her.

The moment Min Yu heard this, he froze briefly.

Huo Yao turned her head and raised her brow as she glanced at him.

“Doesn’t your third older brother work overseas? Does he have no plans of going back?” Min Yu asked as he walked side by side with her.

“Nope.”

Someone else was jogging as well, so Goofy chased after him. Huo Yao felt a headache coming on as she hurriedly ran after the dog.

Min Yu sighed powerlessly as he saw her run into the distance.

This was so hard.

Huo Yao chased after Goofy and put on his leash. After walking twice around the lake with Min Yu, they both headed home.

Huo Tingrui came running downstairs when Huo Yao came home with Goofy.

“Yao, did the man next door call you out again?” said Huo Tingrui as he suppressed his voice.

Even though Goofy kept lunging at him, he ignored the dog.

Huo Yao glanced at Huo Tingrui. “He has a name.”

“Although you are 18 years old, you shouldn’t date so early. You are about to enter university, so you should focus on school. Got it?” said Huo Tingrui with concern.

Huo Tingrui had said such things to Huo Yao countless times. She dug her ears and did not want to listen to him nag any further. She walked around him and went to the fridge to get a bottle of milk.

Huo Tingrui refused to give up. He followed behind his little sister and wanted to brainwash her, but Huo Jinyan came out with breakfast and interrupted him.

“Oh yes. Remember to call Yu over for lunch,” said Huo Jinyan without noticing the look on Huo Tingrui’s face.

“Sure,” answered Huo Yao as she leaned against the kitchen cabinet and drank milk.

Huo Tingrui went speechless.
