I became the slime toy of the evil dragon girl?
Chapter 19 The Real Sweet Girl
By the time we got back to camp, it was already getting dark.
Butler Charles was still slumped in his chair, staring blankly at the huge magic circle diagram, without even changing his posture.
Hearing the noise, he lifted his eyelids slightly and seemed to breathe a sigh of relief when he saw Ian and the others return.
But Charles felt more of a sense of relief and exhaustion, thinking, "Luckily I wasn't blown up outside, otherwise how could I explain to Vivian that her beloved little toy had died right after arriving at my doorstep..."
Thinking of this, Charles glared fiercely at the perpetrator, Kiki, and said, "I'm glad you came back. Kiki, you'd better tell me what exactly happened with that explosion."
Kiki said somewhat timidly, "The situation was very dangerous at the time. Lilith was even captured..."
Ian was lucky he was just a slime and couldn't roll his eyes, otherwise he could roll them all the way to the sky.
Ian said in a mocking tone, "I don't think three half-elves are more dangerous than your 'magical nuke,' even if there were thirty more half-elves."
"Besides..." Ian slowly curled his tentacle, grabbed Lilith's ankle, and lifted her, still unconscious, upside down in front of everyone. "The damage the half-elf did to her is far less than what you did..."
Lilith's black bodysuit was burned to almost nothing, and her exposed skin was covered with black scorch marks and mud that had stuck to it as she was dragged, making her look utterly wretched.
Charles, perhaps considering the consequences of failing to complete the mission, gradually became dangerous and sharp.
He stared intently at Kiki and slowly said, "The elven elder's formal warning has arrived, and it's quite strong. If there's another explosion, the half-elf will use a secret technique to drain Sweet Forest. If you cause me to fail in my mission, you'll be hung on a lamppost in my castle."
Qiqi lowered her head, like a child who had done something wrong, and didn't say anything more.
Charles also toned down his sharp demeanor and looked at Ian with interest: "Mr. Ian, what about you? Have you uncovered any information?"
Ian truthfully replied, "I can draw the magic pathways."
Charles nodded after listening: "How could someone possibly... um? You mean... can?"
Ian pointed to his jelly-like body and then gathered a checkmark with light dots inside his body to reaffirm his approval.
For the first time, Charles's perpetually furrowed brow relaxed!
He turned his delighted gaze back to the drawing, his fingers unconsciously tracing the intricate lines.
"What no legendary monster I know could do, Lord Ian has accomplished. Perhaps it really is possible..."
Ian had to pour cold water on the old butler's enthusiasm, adding, "But the life force of the cut plots is lost extremely quickly. Let alone piecing them back together, they'll probably be extinguished before the teleportation array even takes effect."
Charles's joy seemed to freeze, and he pondered for a long time.
The entire tent seemed to freeze time.
"Why......"
After a long silence, Charles sighed, a sigh filled with resignation.
"Lord Ian, I admit you possess some extraordinary abilities. But this matter is far too significant, and we have no way to revive the severed portion. Perhaps I should try to persuade Lady Vivian again..."
Before he could finish speaking, a rapid flapping of wings and a suppressed gasp came from outside the tent.
Immediately afterward, a bat on guard stumbled in, instantly transforming into a vampire in the form of a child, and quickly exclaimed, "Lord Charles, there's a strange person outside!"
Charles frowned: "A weirdo?"
"She's a half-elf woman! Dressed all flashy, she said she wants to see the manager and that she can solve our sweet troubles!"
A moment of silence fell over the tent. Charles and Ian exchanged a glance. A sweet trouble? That's a rather...
"Let her in." Charles sat up a little straighter.
The tent flap was lifted, and the first thing that wafted in was an overly sweet fragrance, like a dozen kinds of candies and flowers roughly mixed together.
Then, a figure slipped inside.
The newcomer was a half-elf girl who looked to have just come of age.
Her pink twin ponytails were tied with exaggerated candy-shaped hair clips, bouncing lively with her movements.
She wore a pink and white tutu with layers of lace and ribbons, the hem of which was sewn with pockets of all sizes, each one bulging and making a tinkling sound as she walked, like candy rubbing against hard objects.
Her face was small, her skin was fair, and her large, bright green eyes were curved into crescents. She wore a very sweet professional smile, and there were even some deliberately applied, shiny pink sequins on her cheeks.
She looked like a freshly packaged, expensive, exquisite candy.
Ian suddenly realized that if the Sweet Forest were to take human form, it would look like this.
Unlike the sweet girl with a great atmosphere in her previous life, this is a genuine "sweet girl".
Not only does it look sweet and fragrant, but it also smells cloyingly sweet, and even its magic is like the special magic of the Sweet Forest, carrying a sweet scent.
However, the sweetness emanating from this half-elf was more akin to artificially made, cloyingly sweet candy.
Sweet Forest, on the other hand, is the sweetness of nature.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen~" Her voice was soft and sweet, and the soothing tone made one's scalp tingle a little.
"It's a clip," Ian secretly assessed the sweet girl in his mind.
Her gaze swept around the tent before landing precisely on Ian.
"And this... uh, glowing slime pet?"
"What pet? I am the chief of Dragon Territory..." Ian said with dissatisfaction, omitting the word "servant".
"Wow! A talking slime? And the chief of the Dragon Territory?" she exclaimed, her expression one of exaggerated amazement.
But a fleeting, appraising glint flashed in his green eyes, quickly replaced by a smile.
Charles stood up, his manners impeccable: "I am Charles, the person in charge here. And you are?"
"Mirabelle Frosting, at your service~" The girl performed a fancy skirt-lifting bow, the candies on her skirt jingling.
"I am a humble traveling merchant, specializing in bringing sweet solutions to people. I've heard that you are troubled by the prospect of relocating to a beautiful forest? Oh, what a pity, such a sweet home..."
She cupped her cheeks, revealing a regretful expression, but her eyes were bright and alert, darting left and right as she quickly observed everyone's reactions.
Charles's face darkened. "A merchant? Unrelated people aren't welcome here, and monsters don't need candy. If you're here to sell candy..."
"Oh dear, Mr. Charles, you've misunderstood me."
Mirabelle smiled even more sweetly, and with a flick of her little hand, she pulled out a small, crystal-clear bottle from one of the pockets of her skirt.
The bottle contained a small amount of emerald green liquid that seemed to be alive and was slightly flowing.
"I'm not here to sell ordinary candy, of course. I'm here... to provide crucial help~"
