Super God Academy: Kabuto

Chapter 65 Return to Earth

As the Holy Keisha perished in the supernova explosion on Emerald Star, her network of divine knowledge, built over tens of thousands of years, instantly overloaded and collapsed. All the angels in service clearly felt that the warm, powerful, and guiding force had suddenly vanished, replaced by a deep-seated weakness and bewilderment.

The situation reversed on the Fraser battlefield.

Angel Yan, who was fiercely battling the demon Atto, froze in her movements as this wave of weakness washed over her, and the dark energy within her body seemed to sink into a quagmire.

"Uh..." Yan's wing drooped down, she knelt on one knee, and the lightning on the Flaming Sword dimmed a little.

"Did you feel it, Angel Yan!" Ator's enormous foot, carrying immense force, slammed down on Yan's back, crushing her into the scorched earth. "Keisha has fallen! Your era as angels has ended!"

Yan gritted her teeth and tried to struggle, but the weakening at the genetic level and the grief of losing the queen made it difficult for her to muster her strength.

Meanwhile, inside the Death Song Academy in the Styx Galaxy, the right-wing guard, Zhi Xin, who was hanging on a cross and whose vital signs had long since disappeared, suddenly emitted a faint, strange light from within his body, a light different from dark energy.

[Secondary biological engine activated...]

[The main body's life signal has disappeared...]

Zhi Xin's heart began to beat again, and the wounds on her wings healed at a visible speed. She suddenly opened her eyes and broke free from her restraints. In the instant of her resurrection, a stream of information left in advance by the Holy Keisha flooded into her mind. It was one of the last instructions Keisha left for her through the sacred treasury of knowledge before she logged off: to betroth Zhi Xin to Zhao Xin, a warrior from Earth.

Without the slightest hesitation, Zhi Xin flapped her wings, burst out of Death Song Academy, and transformed into a shooting star, heading straight for Earth.

Karl stood quietly by the academy window, watching Zhixin's departing figure without stopping her. He had achieved his goal; a resurrected angel was merely an insignificant link in the known variables of the universe.

During the journey, Zhixin managed to contact Yan, who was in crisis, through the angel communication network.

Zhi Xin: "Sister Yan! How are you? I felt the Queen's... Queen Keisha..."

A weak yet resolute voice came from the other end of the communication: "Zhixin...listen...time is running out..."

At Ator's feet, Yan forced herself to stay awake and, through clandestine communication, together with Zhixin, who was traversing the stars, recited the angel's most solemn oath:

Yan & Zhixin (via communication): "I am willing to become Zhao Xin's (Ge Xiaolun) guardian angel, to love what he loves, to think what he thinks, to bear his pain, to help him through his hardships, whether in poverty or wealth, whether lowly or noble, whether in chaotic times or abandoned by the gods, I will draw my sword for him, fold my wings for him, and never leave him, until forever!"

The power of the oath seemed to pierce through space. Although Ge Xiaolun was pinned to the ground by the flaming sword and was on the verge of death, he clearly heard every word. He looked at Yan, who was being trampled underfoot and on the verge of death, and tears mixed with blood and pain streamed from his eyes. He desperately crawled towards Yan with both hands, leaving a long trail of blood on the ground.

"Yan... Yan..." He called hoarsely.

However, death is not the end.

Yan's "death" also activated a deeper secondary biological engine within her. In the instant of her complete awakening, she used this last power, originating from the void, to infuse the pair of wings on Ge Xiaolun's back, which had never been able to open on their own, with true "angelic light."

Black wings suddenly unfurled, and at the same time, a temporary wormhole opened beneath Ge Xiaolun, swallowing him and sending him to Earth.

Ator stepped forward, looked at Yan's gradually cooling body, shook his head, and then flapped his wings to chase after the closing wormhole.

Ge Xiaolun crashed heavily into a wilderness somewhere on Earth, the immense impact rendering him completely unconscious. Moments later, Atuo traversed a wormhole, tracking him down, and pointed a massive demonic sword at the unconscious Ge Xiaolun.

Just as the sword was about to fall—

A blazing ray of light descended from the sky! Like a miniature sun descending, it dispelled the surrounding gloom!

Lena hovered in mid-air, her body burning with golden energy, looking at Ator with a complex expression.

"Demon, get off Earth!" Her voice carried an undeniable authority.

Ator assessed the situation. Facing the Sun's Light, which had regained some of its power, he had no chance of winning, especially since this was Earth's home turf. He snorted coldly, sheathed his weapon, turned, and leaped back into the wormhole, disappearing once more.

Lena landed slowly and walked to the unconscious Ge Xiaolun's side. She knelt down and checked his injuries, confirming that he was not in immediate danger. She looked at Ge Xiaolun's disheveled yet resolute face, then looked up towards the direction of Juxia City, the place she had once protected, but now...

She sighed softly, her voice filled with desolation and resolve:

"Xiao Lun...take care. I...can't go back."

After saying this, she took one last look at her former comrade-in-arms, resolutely turned around, and transformed into a golden light, disappearing into the horizon. She had her own path to walk, her own inner conflicts to resolve, and the Super Soldier Corps and Earth seemed to have become a past she could never return to.
