Chapter 33 A Dream

Chapter 33 A Dream

Back at the Song family home.

Luo Qingfeng packed up his things and sat down at the table to read.

While I was reading and thinking about something, there was a knock on the door.

"Cousin, are you inside?"

The courtyard gate was pushed open.

Song Wan'er, dressed in a pink ruqun (a type of traditional Chinese dress), carried the food into the courtyard.

Ping'er followed behind, seemingly carrying a bowl of soup.

Luo Qingfeng glanced out the window, slowly closed the book, got up, and walked out.

"Cousin, dinner's ready."

Song Wan'er placed the food on the stone table in the courtyard, looking at him tenderly with a faint smile on her face.

Under the setting sun, the young girl was gentle and beautiful, standing tall and graceful, like a newly blooming flower, exuding fragrance and attracting attention.

Luo Qingfeng glanced at it, thanked him, and said, "From now on, Ping'er can bring it over; you don't need to come yourself."

Song Wan'er chuckled softly, "Anyway, Wan'er has nothing to do."

She then looked at him, frowning slightly, and said, "Cousin, do you not want to see Wan'er?"

Luo Qingfeng said, "Of course not, I'm just worried you'll burn yourself. Also, if your aunt sees you doing these things, she'll probably start scolding me behind my back again."

Song Wan'er chuckled and covered her mouth, asking, "Is Cousin still angry with Mother?"

Luo Qingfeng shook his head, sat down at the stone table, and said, "It was my fault. I shouldn't have talked back to my aunt."

Song Wan'er stared at the expression on his face for a few moments, then sighed and said, "That's just how Mother is, Cousin, don't take it to heart. Wan'er will try to persuade her again later."

Luo Qingfeng nodded, said nothing more, picked up his chopsticks, turned to look at her and asked, "Aren't you going to eat?"

Song Wan'er shook her head: "Wan'er isn't hungry."

Then she whispered, "Wan'er is afraid of gaining weight from eating dinner tonight... If she gains weight, she won't be able to get married..."

Luo Qingfeng glanced at her face and said, "My cousin is so pretty, there's nothing to worry about."

Song Wan'er smiled demurely, looking at him tenderly with her beautiful eyes.

Luo Qingfeng lowered his head and ate his food without saying anything more.

He quickly ate most of the food on the table.

After putting down her chopsticks, Ping'er picked up the soup bowl from the table and said, "Young Master, this is a nourishing soup that Miss specially made for you. You've been studying hard, so you need to nourish your body."

Luo Qingfeng glanced at it, took it, and turned to the girl beside him, saying, "Wan'er, thank you."

Song Wan'er smiled gently: "Cousin, you don't need to be so polite. We're all family."

Luo Qingfeng paused for a moment, glanced at the soup in the bowl again, and then lowered his head to drink it.

He quickly finished the entire bowl of soup.

Night had already fallen.

Ping'er cleared away the dishes and left.

Song Wan'er said somewhat shyly, "Cousin, can Wan'er come inside and keep you company while you read? It's so boring going back to my room alone now."

Luo Qingfeng seemed to hesitate for a moment before standing up and saying, "Of course."

A happy smile appeared on Song Wan'er's face as she followed him into the house.

As she reached the doorway, she took off her shoes, revealing a pair of slender feet clad in white socks beneath her pink skirt.

As soon as she entered the house, she suddenly twisted her ankle, cried out in surprise, and fell forward.

Luo Qingfeng quickly steadied her, saying, "Be careful."

Song Wan'er leaned weakly against his chest, a look of pain on her face, and whispered, "It hurts so much..."

She stood on one foot, bit her pink lips, and said, "I think I twisted my ankle..."

Luo Qingfeng quickly helped her to the bedside and sat her down. Then he squatted down, ready to reach out and check on her, but suddenly stopped.

Song Wan'er's brows were furrowed with pain as she whispered, "Cousin, please...please rub it for Wan'er..."

Luo Qingfeng looked up at her and said, "Men and women shouldn't touch each other, especially not a girl's feet. Or, I'll go call someone..."

With a pained expression, Song Wan'er said, "Cousin, we're family, there's no need for such formalities. Wan'er is in so much pain..."

As she spoke, the pain on her face deepened.

Luo Qingfeng lowered his head, looking at her small feet in white socks under her pink skirt. He hesitated for a moment before reaching out to grasp her ankle, gently lifting it up. Then, with his other hand, he gently massaged and carefully twisted her ankle.

"Um……"

The girl bit her lip, then suddenly trembled and let out a groan of pain.

Luo Qingfeng immediately stopped and looked at her, asking, "Does it hurt?"

The girl frowned, looking pitiful: "It hurts..."

Luo Qingfeng dared not rub anymore and had to put it down, saying, "Let's go see a doctor. It probably needs bone setting."

The girl's face was contorted with pain. She bent down and gently pulled off her white socks, revealing a delicate, snow-white foot.

She rubbed her ankle with her slender fingers, hissed, and said with a hint of grievance, "Cousin, look, it's all red..."

Luo Qingfeng took a look and saw that it had indeed turned red.

"Cousin, could you... could you massage Wan'er a little longer?"

The girl's eyes were brimming with tears as she pleaded.

Luo Qingfeng glanced down, then had no choice but to hold her slender ankle again, lift her small foot up, and gently massage it with his other hand.

Without the obstruction of white socks, the girl's jade-like feet felt exceptionally delicate and smooth in my hands.

Song Wan'er bit her pink lips, two blushes rising on her cheeks, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

After a while.

Ping'er's voice suddenly came from outside: "Miss, are you still in the room? Madam wants you to come over."

Luo Qingfeng quickly helped her put on her socks, then helped her put on her shoes at the door, and helped her out.

Ping'er was startled when she saw this: "Miss, what...what's wrong?"

Luo Qingfeng said, "It's nothing, I just twisted my ankle by accident. I'll go see my uncle and aunt. If that doesn't work, I'll find a doctor to set my bones."

Ping'er quickly helped her young mistress leave.

Song Wan'er turned around, her face flushed, and said, "Cousin, thank you..."

Luo Qingfeng said, "We're family, no need to be so polite."

Song Wan'er softly hummed in agreement, her eyes like water, her face as beautiful as a flower.

Ping'er helped her out the door.

After passing through a round doorway outside, the young maid couldn't help but whisper, "Miss, it's already dark. Why are you in Young Master Cousin's room? A man and a woman alone in a room together... what if Master and Madam find out..."

"Snapped!"

Before she could finish speaking, a slap suddenly landed heavily on her face.

The young maid trembled and froze on the spot.

Night fell.

Luo Qingfeng stood in the courtyard for a while longer, then went over and locked the gate. He then picked a tree branch, preparing to stab someone in the throat.

But suddenly, he stopped again, and the expression on his face gradually became complicated.

"I'll probably dream tonight..."

He raised his head and looked into the darkness of the night.

"What kind of dreams do you have?"

I stood in the courtyard for a long time.

He threw away the branch he was holding and went back into the house.

Hopefully, his guess is wrong.

He felt a mixture of anticipation and pain.

Night fell quickly.

He lay in bed, his mind wandering.

Before I knew it, drowsiness crept in.

He didn't stop her; he simply closed his eyes and cleared his mind.

The sea also became calm.

Before long, he had fallen asleep...

The night was deep and quiet, and all was still.

He tossed and turned in bed, feeling extremely hot.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes, got up and went out the door, quietly entered another small courtyard, and then walked to a window and looked into the room.

This is a young girl's boudoir, filled with pink decorations.

On the bed, the curtains concealed a figure lying inside, partially obscured, with a slender foot clad in a white sock peeking out from beneath them.

His heart grew increasingly restless, and he suddenly opened the window and quietly slipped inside.

He went to the window, struggled internally for a long time, then suddenly took off his clothes, lifted the curtain, and went inside.

The girl on the bed suddenly woke up with a start and let out a cry.

He lost his mind, and like a wild beast in heat, he pinned her down...

"Cousin, no..."

He suddenly woke up and opened his eyes.

It was just a dream...

Outside the window, the sun is rising; it is already daylight.

He lay on the bed, eyes open, looking dazed. After a long while, he gradually came to his senses.

Was it all just a dream?

He murmured.

Just as I got up and washed, a gentle voice suddenly came from outside the door: "Cousin, are you up?"
