Hogwarts: My Grandmother is the Queen
Chapter 76 The earthenware pot and Uncle 2 are a better match!
He asked his father, Charles, who remained silent for a moment before saying, "There are some things I'll tell you when you're older."
Of course, I also asked Grandpa, but he just pursed his lips, gave me a light slap on the back of the head, and told me to go play somewhere else.
Now, considering his father's and grandfather's attitudes... Henry actually recalled a piece of gossip from his past life: there was a rumor that Andrew and Philip were not related by blood. Initially, the British royal family was very resistant to adding the husband's surname "Mountbatten" to the surname "Windsor," but in 1960, they suddenly compromised completely and quickly changed the name...
Keep in mind that at this time, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was still alive and well.
This inevitably raises questions, because Andrew was born in 1960, and it's hard not to think of this as some kind of compromise.
Some things shouldn't be thought about too much; thinking too much about them will make people feel that this family is more treacherous than a black lake.
However, this is not an exception. After all, it's the palace, so it's perfectly normal for there to be some old, trivial matters.
If it doesn't decay, can it still be called feudalism?
Of course, this has little to do with Henry. Anyway, he doesn't like his second uncle and doesn't mind finding an excuse to trip him up and then putting a pot on his head.
The clay pot roasted second uncle is a traditional dish of our beloved grandson, and you must try it.
However, now that Andrew has taken the initiative to greet him, Henry can't pretend he didn't hear him.
We still need to maintain a semblance of politeness.
"Uncle Andrew," he nodded, his tone flat, "we're playing, would you like to join us?"
Andrew smiled and walked over.
"What are you playing with?" Andrew asked curiously, looking at the bottles in William and Harry's hands.
"A portable swamp!" William held up the bottle, beaming with pride. "Henry brought it back from magic school!"
"A magic school..." Andrew raised an eyebrow, looking at Henry, "That Hogwarts thing?"
"Yes, Uncle," Henry replied, his tone neither humble nor arrogant.
Andrew's expression was neither gloomy nor sunny, and his gaze made Henry feel as if he were some kind of reptile on the Hogwarts crest.
"Interesting," he said. "Can I give it a try?"
William generously handed over a bottle.
Andrew took it, unscrewed the cap, and poured it on the ground.
A moment later, a magical swamp three feet in diameter appeared at his feet.
The brown mud was bubbling and gurgling, and a few tiny plants emerged from the mud, swayed for a moment, and then retreated back into the mud.
Andrew stared at the swamp for a while, then laughed heartily.
"That's really interesting," he said.
He crouched down and reached out to touch the plants in the swamp.
Just then, his foot slipped.
It wasn't the swamp that was the problem—the swamp was half a meter in front of his feet; he was standing on solid snow.
But he was wearing leather shoes today, and the soles were too slippery. When he stepped on a piece of ice covered with snow, he instantly lost his balance.
Logically speaking, there shouldn't be ice on the manor.
He fell backward suddenly.
Henry almost instinctively reached out—not to help him up, of course, but to pull William behind him.
William was pulled aside, avoiding Andrew's slamming body.
"Bang!"
Andrew fell hard onto the snow, sprawling on his back.
But a new problem has arisen: the bottle in his hand was not capped when he fell.
The bottle tumbled in the air, spilling the remaining half-full swamp potion all over himself.
Immediately afterwards, a magical swamp appeared around Andrew, and he lay in the middle of it.
The brown mud bubbled and gurgled, enveloping him completely.
His hair, face, coat, and pants were all covered in that translucent, gelatinous mud.
He struggled to stand up, but the swamp's suction made him sink deeper with every movement.
William and Harry stood to the side, their mouths agape.
then……
"Hahahaha!"
Harry was the first to burst into laughter; he laughed so hard he squatted on the ground, tears streaming down his face.
William followed closely behind, laughing so hard he slapped his thigh.
Henry stood to the side, his lips twitching as he tried to hold it in.
But he broke down; he simply couldn't resist.
Andrew struggled to his feet from the swamp, his body dripping with the kind of sticky mud that wouldn't soil his clothes but would make him look very disheveled.
He looked at his three nephews, who were laughing so hard they were doubled over, and his expression was priceless.
"...Is it funny?" he asked with an unfriendly expression.
"No...it's not funny..." William said, laughing, "It's not funny at all..."
Despite his words, William showed no sign of stopping.
Andrew looked down at himself; his thick wool coat was completely unrecognizable, covered in brown mud.
His hair was plastered to his face in strands, with a few unidentified plant stalks hanging from it.
He was silent for a moment, then laughed as if his teeth were aching.
"Fine," he said, "I give up."
He turned to Henry, and the reptilian scrutiny in his eyes seemed to have faded somewhat.
"You did this on purpose?"
Henry shook his head, looking completely innocent. "Uncle, you slipped and fell."
Andrew stared at him for a moment, then smiled, clearly having a toothache: "Yes, I slipped and fell by myself."
He patted the mud off his body—the mud seemed to come alive, sliding off him and back into the swamp on the ground.
Then, the swamp vanished with a whoosh, leaving behind only a patch of churned snow.
Andrew's coat and trousers miraculously returned to normal, without a single drop of mud left behind.
He looked at himself, then at his three nephews.
"This thing is quite interesting," he said.
Then he turned and walked away, but after a few steps, he suddenly stopped and turned his head back.
"Henry," he said, "don't hide so quickly next time."
Henry blinked.
"Uncle, I didn't hide."
Andrew glanced at him, said nothing, and left.
William leaned closer and whispered, "Henry, is he angry?"
Henry ruffled William's hair and said, "Don't worry, he won't be angry."
……
At noon, Diana heard about what had happened in the garden.
She sat on the sofa in the living room, and after listening to William's embellished account, her expression became quite interesting.
"So," she looked at Henry, "Andrew fell into the swamp?"
"He slipped and fell on his own," Henry said innocently.
Diana stared at him for a moment, then smiled slyly.
"Slipped?" she repeated.
"Yes, Mom," Henry confirmed.
Diana stroked Henry's hair and whispered, "Good thing you slipped."
Henry pretended not to hear.
In the afternoon, Charles came out of his study and also heard about this.
His reaction was quite interesting; he simply nodded and said calmly, "Andrew should be careful."
But Henry noticed that his cheap father couldn't suppress the corner of his mouth for a brief moment.
