America: The Cremator

41. A beautiful woman invites you!

When Hannah recognized the person as Su Long, her eyes widened slightly, and then she smiled, "Su, I didn't expect you to come here."

Surong's gaze swept over the neatly disassembled gun parts in front of her and he said, "I was wondering why I felt familiar with Yurievich, but now I remember you told me that you worked as a clerk in Yuri's family's gun shop."

As Hannah reassembled the gun that had been disassembled into parts, she nodded and said, "Yes, I've been working here for a long time."

She expertly inspected the rifle, hung it back on the wall, and then continued, "So, you came here intending to buy something, or sell something?"

The next moment, a steady male voice came from the side and behind the counter, interrupting the two people's conversation.

"Hannah, do you know this guest?"

A man emerged from the shadows, dressed in a well-tailored light gray suit. He was tall and had a sharply defined face with distinct Slavic features.

His gentle and refined demeanor stood in stark contrast to the rough and burly men in the tavern upstairs.

"He's my friend, Surong, a good man."

Upon hearing Hannah's reply, the man turned his gaze to Surong, a polite smile appearing on his face.

"Since this is someone Miss Hannah knows, it seems we can skip a few tedious identity verification steps."

He stretched out his hand.

"My name is Sergei Yurievich."

Surong extended his hand to shake mine: "Hello, Mr. Sergei, thank you for putting your guard down. Of course, I am indeed someone who wants to do business."

Sergei nodded, then praised her with undisguised admiration: "Mr. Suron, you should thank Miss Hannah. In 'Ice Wolf,' everyone gives her some respect."

"After all, she is the best engraver here."

After saying that, Sergei turned to the side and showed Sulong the glass gun cabinet in the center behind him.

The cabinet displays more than a dozen well-maintained vintage firearms, ranging from Luger P08 to Mauser C96. Each one has an exquisitely intricately carved walnut or ivory grip, and those delicate lines reflect a warm luster under the shadowless lamp.

"All of these were done by Hannah."

A look of surprise crossed Sulong's face. He looked at Hannah, completely unexpected that this girl who relied on blood to cast spells in battle would have such a superb skill.

Hannah nodded readily in acknowledgment, explaining with a touch of pride, "After all, I studied biological anatomy, so there's not much difference between holding a scalpel and a carving knife to me."

Sergei nodded noncommittally, then professionally asked, "So, Mr. Suron, what are your needs?"

Without further delay, Su Long placed his equipment bag on the heavy steel counter and took out six square cardboard boxes from it.

"I want to sell a batch of silver-plated bullets, the kind that have a special effect against eerie things."

Six ammunition boxes bearing the "Winchester" logo were lined up on the counter.

Then, he gently placed the revolver named "Sirius" on the counter.

"By the way, I'd like to buy some .357 caliber pure silver bullets."

Sergei stepped forward, put on a pair of white gloves, picked up a box, took out a 9mm bullet, and examined it closely under the light.

"Yes, very good. They are all Winchester original silver-plated ammunition. The workmanship is very standard. This kind is very popular in the market."

He put down his bullet and gave an offer.

"I can open it for you at a price of three and a half dollars."

As soon as she finished speaking, Hannah coughed deliberately.

"Ahem, Mr. Sergei, this is a very good friend of mine. I feel you should offer a more reasonable price."

Sergei paused for a moment, turned to look at Hannah, then at Suron, a knowing glint in his eyes:

"You're not just one of her ordinary friends, are you? Hannah rarely cares about anyone this much."

He pondered for a moment, then finally nodded.

"Alright, for Hannah's sake, four dollars."

"Six hundred coins, that's two thousand four hundred US dollars in total. Do you need cash or bank transfer?"

Su Long shook his head.

"You don't need to give me this money."

"I need a silver-tungsten alloy tactical knife. Use the rest of the money to buy ammunition for this revolver."

A genuine smile appeared on Sergei's face. He took off his gloves and extended his hand to Sulong again.

"Very good, Mr. Surong, I like customers like you who are straightforward. You brought us two orders on your first visit."

He turned to Hannah and instructed her, "Hannah, I'm going to the back warehouse to get some bullets. I'll trouble you to help Mr. Suron choose a dagger."

After saying that, he turned and walked towards a storage room at the back of the basement, protected by a heavy blast door.

In the blink of an eye, only Surong and Hannah remained in this vast space.

"Thank you for speaking up for me just now, Hannah," Suron said, watching Sergei's disappearing figure.

Hannah waved her hand, saying with a hint of helplessness, "It's alright. Sergei just likes to rip off new customers. Miss Dania has told him off many times and also told me to keep an eye on him."

Su Long's eyebrows twitched slightly.

"This Dania is...?"

"Miss Dania is the only daughter of the current head of the Yurievich family," Hannah explained.

Su Long nodded immediately, a clear image emerging in his mind.

The heiress of a gangster family might also be a proud and arrogant young girl.

As they chatted, they walked to the side wall, where an entire wall of cold weapons was displayed.

From two-handed greatswords over a meter long to exquisite fighting knives, from rugged battle axes to sleek katanas, all kinds of knives are fixed in slots on the wall, their blades gleaming with a chilling light under the lamp.

Hannah explained, "All the weapons on this wall are made of silver-tungsten alloy. Your budget probably isn't enough to buy the longer ones, so focus on the short swords instead."

Su Long nodded; his original goal was a short sword that was easy to carry and suitable for close combat.

His gaze slowly swept over the dazzling array of knives, and finally, it was drawn to a sharply styled double-edged dagger.

The dagger was about 25 centimeters long, with a narrow blade, a blood groove along the center line, and a sharp tip that formed a perfect isosceles triangle. The one-piece keel structure ensured its strength, and the handle was wrapped with non-slip black paracord.

Whether used for stabbing or cutting, it is a perfect killing tool.

Just as Su Long reached out to take the dagger off the wall, he noticed someone behind him through the reflection of the surrounding blades. Turning around, he found that Sergei had somehow appeared behind them, holding a brand-new set of tactical equipment.

It was an armed carrying belt made of black high-strength nylon and top-grain cowhide. On the left side of the belt was a slot for hanging a knife sheath, and on the right side was a tactical holster for quick draw. In addition, the belt also had a pouch for storing spare ammunition and three quick-loading loader made of aluminum alloy.

The entire set of equipment is extremely well-made, with every detail revealing a professional quality designed for actual combat.

Surong looked at the equipment, his brow furrowing slightly. "Mr. Sergei, isn't the price of this whole set a bit too expensive?"

Sergei, with his usual gentle smile, announced a staggering figure: "Including the dagger in your hand, this belt, the three quick-loading devices, and sixty rounds of pure silver .357 Magnum ammunition, the total price is around twelve thousand US dollars."

Surong immediately said, "This is far beyond my budget."

Sergei waved his hand and said, "Don't worry, I don't intend to sell you this set of supplies."

Su Long was taken aback, not understanding the meaning behind his words.

Sergei's tone became serious.

"If Mr. Sulong can agree to one condition, this entire set of equipment can be given to you for free."

"What are the conditions?"

Sergei leaned forward slightly and lowered his voice.

"Miss Danya Yurievich wishes to see you and invites you to dinner."
