Ex-wife becomes the world's number one hacker

Chapter 80 Attack on Jijie Street

Upon seeing the words "There's going to be a good show," Lin Xiyue's lips curled slightly, and she smiled silently.

Lin Xiyue's first thought was actually not to go; it's better to stay away from such things. However, she simply couldn't control her curiosity, and after much hesitation, she decided to go anyway.

After putting down her chopsticks, she said to Ding Meiyu, "Heming invited me to dinner, so I'm going out."

When Qin Heming invited her to dinner, Ding Meiyu naturally had no reason to disagree. In fact, she urged Lin Xiyue to hurry up and not keep Heming waiting.

When Lin Xiyue arrived at the Xia Yi Jianghu private room on the second floor, which was decorated in a rustic and lively style, Qin Wan'er was sitting by the window, eating melon seeds and looking down.

Lin Xiyue followed her gaze and saw Jiang Yin and Tang Ning sitting at a small table in the plastic shed on the street directly opposite the private room, intently peeling and eating shrimp. On the wooden table were two large copper basins and piles of bright red shrimp shells.

It was completely dark by then, but the tent was brightly lit inside and out. The colorful lights of the neon signs in the distance intertwined with the dim incandescent lights inside the tent, making everything clearly visible. In particular, Jiang Yin, who was wearing a spotless white down jacket, stood out like a target.

Lin Xiyue then looked around and found seven or eight burly men with short hair and green skin gathered in twos and threes outside the shed.

She smiled—tonight's going to be quite a show.

She frowned and looked at Qin Wan'er: "Wan'er, what are you doing? Don't make things worse. Come back with me." With that, she reached out to pull Qin Wan'er.

"I'm not leaving. I went to great lengths to arrange this. Sister Yueyue, please sit down." Qin Wan'er smiled and pulled Lin Xiyue's hand, pressing her down to a seat and placing a handful of melon seeds in Lin Xiyue's hand.

Lin Xiyue placed the melon seeds on the table, her face showing worry, and continued to persuade Qin Wan'er: "It's fine to vent your anger by cursing, but you're actually going to do it seriously? If something happens, how am I supposed to explain it to your brother?"

"One person does the deed, one person takes the blame. This has nothing to do with you. Don't try to persuade me. I won't be able to get rid of this anger without giving her a good beating." Qin Wan'er waved her hand and continued to eat sunflower seeds while looking down.

Upon hearing this, Lin Xiyue fell silent and sat down to eat sunflower seeds.

On the other side, Tang Ning and Jiang Yin had finished eating. It was a weekday, so there weren't many customers in the shed. Besides the two of them, there was only a young couple in a corner, eating and whispering to each other.

After enjoying a delicious meal, Tang Ning walked out of the shed, crossed the street, and went to the store to pay the bill.

Jiang Yin placed her phone on the wooden table to check her messages.

Just then, Jiang Yin suddenly felt a gust of cold wind rush towards her. Alarm bells rang in her mind, and all her muscles tensed instantly. Instinctively, she rolled to the side, dodging the first blow. She then grabbed a small wooden chair and held it high to block the second attack. The small wooden chair was instantly smashed to pieces by the heavy steel pipe that swung down, leaving Jiang Yin with only a piece of the chair back.

"Tang Ning—" Jiang Yin cried out in a mournful voice.

Unfortunately, the shed was soundproof, and with the north wind howling outside, the sound couldn't get out at all.

The couple inside the shed were so frightened that they hid in a corner and sobbed, not daring to make a move.

Just as Tang Ning was about to push open the shop door, she suddenly had a strange feeling.

He glanced back instinctively, and what he saw terrified him.

Jiang Yin was seen being attacked from both sides by two burly men, each wielding a steel pipe as thick as a wrist.

The shed was in complete chaos, with tables and chairs scattered everywhere, and crayfish broth spilled onto the shed, dripping down the fabric like blood.

Tang Ning's scalp tingled with rage, a chilling anger shooting up her spine to the top of her head. As she reached into her inner pocket, her body moved with the speed of a gust of wind. When she raised her hand again, a flash of cold light appeared between her fingers—a sharp blade had slashed a large gash in the plastic sheeting.

Tang Ning leaped in, kicking over the burly man who was about to attack Jiang Yin from behind. She then picked up a chair and smashed it over the head of the man attacking her from the front. She also snatched the steel pipe from the man's hand and swung it at the man who had just been kicked and was now getting up to attack Jiang Yin again.

After several rounds, Tang Ning knocked both of them to the ground, and one of them was even thrown out of the shed and onto the street by Tang Ning.

Just then, the shed was overturned from the outside and to one side, exposing Tang Ning and Jiang Yin to the street.

It turned out that the other burly men scattered around realized that their own men had been taken advantage of, and knew that they had met a tough opponent. So they simply overturned the shed and attacked together.

Seven or eight people, each holding a steel pipe, surrounded Tang Ning and Jiang Yin in the center.

Tang Ning and Jiang Yin stood back to back. Tang Ning carried the steel pipe they had seized earlier, while Jiang Yin carried half a chair. Their bodies and faces were covered in bright red soup. They discussed their next move while remaining vigilant against any potential attack.

Tang Ning: "What should we do?"

Jiang Yin: "Just chase them away, don't cause trouble."

Tang Ning: "Mm."

Qin Wan'er on the second floor could no longer sit still. Standing by the window, she unconsciously waved her fist and whispered:

"Go, go, hit her, hit her!"

Lin Xiyue stood behind Qin Wan'er, her fingers unconsciously digging into her palms. She held her breath, her pupils slightly dilated. She could clearly feel the tremor brought on by the tightness in her throat and the rapid beating of her heart—a strange excitement mixed with fear and extreme pleasure.

In the following minutes, they saw Tang Ning, with Jiang Yin at the center, wielding the steel pipe she had previously stolen, dodging and weaving, preventing the burly men from even getting a scratch. Jiang Yin, also holding half a wooden chair, used the gaps to dodge and parry left and right. Although her kung fu was far inferior to Tang Ning's, it was still better than the average person, clearly indicating she had practiced.

In the midst of the stalemate, a cracking sound was suddenly heard. One of the burly men smashed a piece of the wooden chair in Jiang Yin's hands with a steel pipe, which then hit Jiang Yin directly on the side of her face.

"Ah—" Jiang Yin cried out in pain.

Blood gushed from his forehead instantly, dripping onto his white down jacket in a shocking sight, the stench of blood carried by the wind.

Tang Ning instantly exploded, his eyes bulging with rage, blood rushing to his head. He could no longer suppress his anger and began to strike with increasing force. His handsome face was devoid of any refinement, replaced only by ferocity. With a few punches and kicks, he took down one opponent, leaving them no chance to rise again.

After quickly knocking everyone to the ground, Tang Ning hurried over to Jiang Yin, who was crouching on the ground clutching her head, to check her injuries.

Just then, he heard a gust of wind behind him and cursed inwardly: Damn it, it's really tough, it can still get up even after all this.

At that moment, he could have easily dodged it. But he couldn't, because if he did, the steel pipe would smash into Jiang Yin, who was squatting on the ground in front of him.

He spread his arms to shield Jiang Yin beneath him, arched his back, and prepared to take the heavy blow with his back.

The heavy blow didn't come, but the weight arrived first. A warm body suddenly covered his back with such force that it almost knocked him and Jiang Yin down together.

Almost simultaneously, Tang Ning heard a dull thud as the steel pipe struck someone's body.

The person on his back shuddered violently, and then a suppressed, tearful cry of pain rang in his ears:

"Tang Ning...it hurts so much."
