All Realms and Worlds: The Lost Home
Chapter 47 The Light of the Human Alliance
In the vast universe, fragments of Wei Yu's soul sped towards the planet that radiated a faint life force, like shooting stars. The speed increased, and as it passed through the planet's atmosphere, it emitted a faint golden light. Finally, it broke through the clouds and fell towards the Earth's surface.
From high above, the planet had long been engulfed by war. The earth was riddled with holes and filled with craters from artillery bombardment. Vast ruins stretched into the distance, thick smoke billowed, obscuring half the sky, and the air was filled with the pungent smell of gunpowder, blood, and decay.
In every corner of the planet, war has never ceased, with sporadic battles raging fiercely. Most notably, a small human stronghold is being relentlessly attacked by a group of humanoid creatures.
Those humanoid creatures were hunched over, with bluish-gray skin, bloodshot eyes, and thick saliva dripping from their mouths. They held crude yet sharp metal weapons in their hands, roaring as they charged toward the stronghold, fearless of death.
The humans in the stronghold were already prepared for a desperate fight, with clear division of labor and no panic.
Some wore heavy, silver power armor, its surface covered in battle marks. Energy cannons on their shoulders continuously fired scorching beams, accurately striking the humanoid creatures charging ahead and blasting them to pieces. Others wielded pulse laser guns, their muzzles flashing with a ghostly blue light. Dense laser beams intertwined to form a fire net, blocking the humanoid creatures' attacks. Still others operated large machinery, mech warriors wielding alloy longswords, drones hovering in the air, constantly dropping bombs, the roar of engines echoing throughout the scene.
Blood stained the earth, the corpses of humanoid creatures piled up, and humans were also injured or killed. Fallen warriors were quickly dragged back to their stronghold by their comrades, while the survivors held their ground, their eyes filled with determination—they were fighting for survival, fighting to protect their last remaining home.
Wei Yu's soul fragments did not linger, seemingly uninterested in the battle, but instead swiftly traversed the smoke and fire, as if urgently searching for some target. Their aura was weak yet resolute, unaffected by the surrounding flames of war.
It flew over the battlefields of fierce battle, skimmed over vast stretches of ruins, and headed deep into the planet, finally landing on a small town that appeared to have once been inhabited by humans.
The town was already in ruins, with most of the houses collapsed, the walls riddled with bullet holes and claw marks, and the streets littered with abandoned weapons, tattered clothes and cold corpses. It was eerily quiet, with only the whistling of the wind through the ruins and the occasional roar of a distant battlefield, which only accentuated the desolation and sorrow of the place.
The fragment of the soul circled over the town once, as if it had precisely locked onto its target, before slowly descending and finally landing next to a house that had mostly collapsed. It then slowly crawled into a small cellar below through a crack in the house.
The cellar was small and dark, with only a faint ray of light filtering in from a crack above, illuminating two thin figures inside.
They were two children. The little boy looked to be only about ten years old and was thin, but he held the little girl tightly in his arms. The little girl was even younger, only five or six years old. She was pale, her eyes were closed, and her body was trembling slightly. She was obviously very frightened.
The two men were so tense they dared not move, their bodies taut and their breathing barely perceptible, for fear of making the slightest sound and attracting the danger outside. They were covered in dust and grime, their faces still wet with tears, their eyes filled with fear and helplessness—their parents had most likely perished in the war, leaving them to depend on each other, clinging to life in the cellar.
Just then, the golden fragment of soul slowly floated to the little boy's front and gently merged into his body without any pause.
The little boy froze, as if bound by an invisible force, unable to move. His eyes widened, and a look of surprise and confusion appeared on his face. His body trembled slightly uncontrollably, not from fear, but from a strong shock coming from the depths of his soul.
The next second, a heavy voice resounded directly in the depths of his soul, carrying endless sorrow and determination, as if it had crossed countless times and spaces to convey to all the lost souls in the myriad worlds: "To the wanderers in the myriad worlds, the only sentinel is dead, and the coordinates to return home are permanently lost."
These words, like a thunderclap, exploded deep within the little boy's soul, making him tremble all over, his heart feeling as if it were being violently gripped, the pain so intense he could hardly breathe.
The voice from the depths of the soul continues, filled with profound despair yet tinged with a glimmer of hope: "Wanderers of all realms, the coordinates to return home have been burned. You who have lost your homeland, live on! Until someone finds the path home!"
As soon as the words fell, the voice vanished completely, leaving only endless silence that echoed deep within the little boy's soul.
A scalding tear slid down the boy's face, landing on the little girl's hair in his arms, carrying endless sorrow and despair. He wasn't a native child of this planet; he was Ye Fan, a transmigrator who had wandered through countless worlds, always yearning to return home. But now, he had heard the cruelest news—the coordinates to his homeland had been permanently lost.
His path home was completely severed, and from then on, he could only become a helpless and homeless wanderer in all the heavens and myriad worlds, with even his last hope being completely destroyed.
Just as Ye Fan was immersed in despair and sorrow, heavy footsteps and chattering voices suddenly came from the dilapidated house above, breaking the silence above the cellar.
Ye Fan snapped back to his senses, his heart tightening. He hugged the little girl even tighter, covering her mouth to prevent her from making a sound. He held his breath, his eyes warily fixed on the cellar entrance above, his muscles taut—danger was coming.
Several hunched figures entered the dilapidated house. They looked very much like humans, but had monkey-like features. Their bodies were covered with grayish-brown fur, their faces were protruding, their eyes were round and cloudy, and they held standard weapons in their hands. They were a group of alien creatures in the shape of monkeys.
They looked around the house, their eyes scanning every corner warily, as if searching for any humans hiding there. Their footsteps were heavy and disorderly, making a "crackling" sound on the broken tiles, which was particularly jarring.
Soon, their gazes all fell on the broken broadcast receiver on the ground.
The broadcast receiver was covered in dust, its casing broken, wires exposed, and screen black, with only a faint, intermittent buzzing sound coming through: "Star River... buzz... Federation... buzz... has already communicated with the demi-human race... hope... citizens... hold fast..."
The electrical hum grew fainter and fainter until it disappeared completely. The radio receiver fell into complete silence, without a sound.
One of the shorter monkey aliens turned to the taller monkey alien beside him, who wore a badge at his waist, and said with a hint of hesitation and apprehension, "Captain, the Federation is communicating with our leader. Is it inappropriate for us to attack human citizens now? If it affects the negotiations between the two sides, we'll be in trouble."
The monkey alien, referred to as the captain, had cold eyes and a cruel smile playing on his lips. His tone was full of disdain and ferocity, his voice hoarse and grating: "Is it wrong? Humans feed on other races they deem food, indiscriminately slaughtering and plundering resources. So what's wrong with us feeding on humans?"
It paused, then stomped heavily on the broadcast receiver, crushing it completely. Its tone grew increasingly cold: "They say it's for survival, and they'll stop at nothing. Well, we're just doing this for survival too! The law of the jungle is the rule of this world. Humans are weak, so they deserve to be hunted by us!"
After saying that, it glanced around the house again, confirming that there were no traces of humans, then waved its hand impatiently to its subordinates beside it: "Let's go, there's no one left here. Let's move on to the next location and search. We can't let any human escape!"
"Yes, Captain!"
The other monkey aliens responded in unison, turned around, and prepared to leave the dilapidated house to search the next location.
As Ye Fan, who was in the cellar, heard their conversation, a flame of anger instantly erupted from the bottom of his heart, scorching his internal organs and almost consuming him.
These damned alien races! Not only do they slaughter humans, but they also distort the truth and use fallacies and heresies to cover up their cruelty!
They cut off their own way home (referring to the sentry being killed), destroyed their home in this life, killed their parents in this life, and now they wantonly hunt humans and treat human life like dirt!
What angered him even more was that the Star River Federation was still thinking of befriending and negotiating with these damned alien races! These alien monkeys enjoyed the technology, weapons, education, and all the conveniences brought by humans, but now they were slaughtering humans, and the Federation chose to compromise!
Endless anger and hatred intertwined, impacting Ye Fan's reason. He was a wanderer who had lost his home. He had finally found a home, but it was destroyed by these alien races, and even his last hope was completely cut off.
"Damn it! I'll kill you all! Slaughter all these alien races!"
Ye Fan roared wildly in his heart. His emotions were too intense, and he couldn't control himself. He accidentally made a faint sound, like the soft sound of teeth clenching, which was particularly clear in the silent cellar.
The monkey aliens above immediately stopped in their tracks, their eyes becoming wary as they turned their heads, their gazes fixed on the direction of the cellar entrance.
"There's sound!"
A monkey-alien let out a low growl, strode forward, and yanked open the cellar lid. Blinding light instantly flooded into the cellar, illuminating the figures of Ye Fan and the little girl.
"Hahaha!" the monkey alien let out a boastful laugh, its tone full of mockery. "They really thought they could hide here and escape? We hadn't been waiting outside for long before they took the bait! Now, more food!"
The other monkey aliens also gathered around, looking down at the two children in the cellar with greed and cruelty in their eyes, thick saliva dripping from their mouths. They slowly raised their weapons, ready to attack.
Ye Fan held the little girl tightly behind him, his eyes filled with despair and resentment. He hated his weakness and his impulsiveness. If he hadn't made a sound, he wouldn't have been discovered and could have protected his sister. But now, they were doomed.
He was filled with remorse. He was a transmigrator with an adult soul who had experienced the hardships of the human world, but at the crucial moment, he was blinded by anger and made such an impulsive move, which not only harmed himself but also his younger sister.
At this critical moment, a clear and firm voice suddenly came from afar, accompanied by a burst of gunfire: "Report! Alien squad detected! Over here, coordinates 127:894! Open fire! Open fire! Free fire!"
The monkey aliens' expressions changed drastically. They turned around instantly, looking in the direction from which the sound came, and without hesitation raised their weapons, engaging in a fierce firefight with the figures rushing towards them from afar.
Gunshots, explosions, and roars mingled together, shattering the town's silence. The two sides exchanged fierce firepower, catching the monkey alien off guard and putting it on the defensive.
Ye Fan, inside the cellar, was overjoyed. In his desperate situation, a turning point had appeared! He held the little girl tightly, barely daring to breathe, listening warily to the sounds of battle above, praying that the newcomers would defeat the monkey aliens.
Not long after, the sounds of battle above gradually subsided, and then the cellar lid was lifted again.
A tall figure appeared at the entrance to the cellar. He was wearing heavy black power armor, the surface of which gleamed with a cold metallic luster. The energy cannons on his shoulders were still emitting faint blue smoke. He wore a helmet, obscuring his face, but he exuded a firm and reliable aura.
He looked down at the two children in the cellar, and upon realizing they were human, his previously cold tone instantly softened. His voice, transmitted through his helmet, carried a hint of reassurance: "Children, don't be afraid, we are the Human Federation."
He paused, his tone incredibly solemn, carrying a firm promise: "As long as you are human, no matter where you are, no matter what danger you face, we will cross the galaxy to come and save you!"
After speaking, he slowly extended his left hand towards Ye Fan, his palm facing Ye Fan, carrying warmth and hope, as if he were holding up a sky for these two children on the verge of despair.
Ye Fan looked at the outstretched hand, and at the human warriors in power armor above him. The despair in his eyes was gradually replaced by light, replaced by a firm hatred and a determination for revenge.
In his eyes, in the eyes of the transmigrator Ye Fan, the Human Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Human Federation) was not only the hope for saving them, but also the only way for him to take revenge. He wanted to join the Human Federation, become stronger, and then slaughter those alien monkeys, destroy the compromise of the Star River Federation, and find the lost path home again in all the myriad worlds, to seek justice for all those who have lost their homes, for his parents in this life, and for all the humans who have been slaughtered!
