League: Educating LPL is my duty.
Chapter 11 just launched? Game over.
"Holy crap, it feels like C is even more ruthless now that they've come out of the Korean server."
"Can you really dominate like this in a Korean Master tier game? It feels like the opposing team is about to get demoralized."
"I can only say that there are absolutely no rivals!"
"Hey streamer, I want something to watch while I'm eating, can you do that for me?"
As Li Chen climbed to Master rank in the Korean server in just three days, his popularity soared to over a million, with the chat in his live stream filled with both positive and negative comments every day.
Some longtime viewers were hoping Li Chen could provide them with something to eat while they ate, while new viewers were blindly praising him or saying that Li Chen was inferior to so-and-so, creating an extremely heated atmosphere.
Once the game resumed and the hero selection process began, Li Chen chose Fiora, a champion he hadn't played yet that day, ready to unleash a flurry of attacks.
The opposing top laner seemed unconvinced and immediately locked in Riven, wanting a duel of swords.
"Hey, newbies in the live stream, this is going to be good. Fiora vs. Riven, let's see how the streamer handles it. I'll teach you how to crush a Korean Master Riven in five minutes," Li Chen said sarcastically to the chat.
The comments section was filled with immediate rebuttals to Li Chen, interspersed with occasional gift effects.
"When playing Fiora against Riven, if you're not confident, you can choose to take Grasp of the Undying to farm in lane. However, the streamer doesn't lack confidence; he's going to teach a newbie a lesson by taking Fervor of Battle directly."
Li Chen selected his runes and talents, still symbolically adding one percent critical strike chance.
After all, a critical hit is a reward for the brave.

"Holy crap, the enemy top laner is TheShy, one of the top three Riven players in the Korean server."
"TheShy? Look at the jungler, 4396, okay!"
"Little Blackie, your account is gone."
"This game is going to be a disaster. Jungler is Clearlove, top laner is TheShy, mid laner is Dopa, how are we supposed to play like this?"
Li Chen was also stunned when he saw the comments. He didn't expect to encounter a youth version of TheShy's Riven at this time, and even Clearlove's Rek'Sai and Dopa's Twisted Fate.
However, he remained calm and even mocked the viewers: "What do you mean by 'the streamer is afraid'? Why don't you ask the other side if they're afraid of the streamer? Watch my gameplay this game, I'll kill TheShy with a cup of warm wine, and bully the old man Clearlove."
Meanwhile, at the EDG base, Clearlove also realized that he seemed to have been matched with Li Chen, and immediately sent a message to Abu to ask him to come over.
After Abu arrived, the two entered the game. After watching Li Chen's live stream and confirming that they had indeed run into each other, he immediately patted Clearlove on the shoulder and said, "This game, target him, target him hard. I want to see where he gets his arrogance from."
The factory manager put on his headphones, revealing a murderous glint in his eyes: "Don't worry, leave it to me. Let's see if this guy is qualified to join EDG."
TheShy was also streaming at the time, and someone went to his stream chat to leave comments. The translator relayed these comments to him.
"You guys are saying that the Fiora on the other side is the one who's been really popular lately, the one with the amazing Fiora, Jayce, and Riven combo? Well then, I'm going to play seriously this game. I've seen his highlights too, he's really good."
Dopa was streaming with TheShy, and when he heard TheShy's words, he immediately said he would come and help catch the enemy.
A fierce battle is about to unfold. Li Chen is not trying to contest the lane this game; he is simply controlling Fiora to follow the minions to the lane while he begins to commentate on the game.
"The enemy Riven is skilled; she'll definitely use her Q at level one. We didn't take Ignite, but they did. To win, we'll need some skill."
As the two minion waves came into contact, TheShy controlled Riven and unleashed his three-stage Q to knock her out of the bush.
The first mark appeared in the bottom left corner. Li Chen immediately pushed forward to pressure Riven's positioning, making it seem like he wanted to exploit an opening. TheShy was unwilling to suffer a loss, so he retreated two steps first.
At this moment, Riven was standing next to her own ranged minions. If Fiora used QA to engage, it would attract the minions' aggro, and even if she managed to create an opening, she wouldn't gain much advantage. Therefore, Li Chen chose not to make a move.
As a fellow Riven specialist, Li Chen knew what TheShy was thinking: he was simply waiting for his Q skill to cool down, hoping to use Q to engage and unleash a combo against him.
So Li Chen pretended to attack a minion, but pressed S to stop just as the sword was about to fall. He then controlled Fiora to retreat, giving TheShy room to move forward.
When TheShy saw Li Chen retreat, he did indeed walk up and auto-attacked a minion to observe Fiora's reaction.
At this point, his Q skill was almost ready. If Li Chen really wanted to fight, Riven could use her Q to unleash a combo and retreat.
However, just as TheShy's Q skill was about to be ready, Li Chen took advantage of Riven's stun and suddenly turned around to auto-attack Riven. Riven raised her hand to return an auto-attack, and Li Chen also auto-attacked a second time. Then he instantly used a short Q to break the opening and used the acceleration to pull back.
TheShy, now that he had his Q ability, wasn't willing to suffer such a loss and immediately used his Q skill to catch up.
However, Li Chen's movement speed was too fast. TheShy had to use his second Q to catch up with him. The second Q didn't even deal any damage; it was just followed by a basic attack. But Li Chen turned around and gave him a basic attack as well.
At this point, Li Chen suddenly smiled. TheShy was still too young and inexperienced, unwilling to suffer losses. The reason he waited until Riven's Q skill was about to refresh before making his move was to set up a trap for TheShy.
"Holy crap, Riven's in danger!"
"As soon as I saw C make that face, I knew the other team was doomed."
"Only level one, bro, just level one!"
Amidst a flurry of comments, Li Chen drank his health potion and then used his Flash the instant Riven attempted to knock up Fiora with her three-stage Q and then pull away.
boom!
Riven's three-part Q missed, failing to knock up Fiora. Instead, Li Chen flashed behind her, creating a second opening.
TheShy never expected Li Chen to use Flash so directly. His plan to use the three Qs to knock up Fiora and create distance between them failed. Instead, Li Chen blocked his way back.
At this point, the two were positioned near the blue team's first tower and into the river, a considerable distance from the red team's first tower. Riven had been hit by four auto-attacks and a Q, including two open attacks, and her health was nearly halved.
If Riven wants to survive, she has no choice but to immediately use Flash to create distance and escape towards the tower.
However, TheShy, relying on having both summoner spells available and having Ignite while Fiora did not, did not intend to use Flash at all, but instead chose to fight and retreat.
Seeing that TheShy was indeed unwilling to run away, Li Chen immediately started positioning himself and trading blows with Riven.
He had already stacked up his Fervor of Battle, while Riven had Thunderlord's Decree, and Fiora had just gained an advantage through a trade and had used her potion beforehand. Even if Riven had some anger, she couldn't win. As long as she didn't use Flash, she was doomed.
If Riven uses Flash to escape, she will definitely be chased down by Fiora and hit with an auto-attack and a Q. Then the laning phase will be over. She will be too far behind in terms of health and without Flash, all that awaits Riven is endless lane pressure. Even farming outside the tower will be a luxury.
This is why some people die at level one in high-level laning matches, but are not buried until 20 minutes in.
