Warhammer: Become a Saint Starting with the Banner of Souls

Chapter 14 must be the Emperor's might!

Qin Mo's eyes lit up.

"Soul-driven power armor?"

Although the souls of the Chaos Space Marines he had just collected had been refined, the combat memories and skills contained within them had not completely disappeared.

If these souls, imbued with combat experience, were to be reinfused into the power armor...

"You mean, put the souls of those Space Marines back into their own power armor?" Qin Mo asked.

[That's exactly right. Souls processed by the Soul Refining Array have been stripped of their chaotic corruption, retaining their basic combat instincts and mobility. After these souls are reinjected into their corresponding power armor, they will instinctively revert to their pre-life combat modes, but will completely obey the host's will.]

Qin Mo pondered for a moment, then burst into laughter.

As a heretical cultivator, creating corpse puppets was already his forte. Now, this system even knew how to squeeze the remaining value out of his enemies—it was simply perfect for him!

"Okay! Let's do it this way."

He extracted forty-seven souls from the newly refined soul essence.

With a wave of his right hand, forty-seven souls fell precisely into the corresponding power armors on the ground.

then.

The first powered armor set moved.

It slowly and stiffly propped itself up and sat up.

The helmet goggles no longer held the same fanatical eyes; instead, they were now filled with two eerie, burning black flames.

Wisps of black mist seeped from the gaps in the armor.

Then came the second, the third, the fourth...

Forty-seven powered armor suits stood up one after another.

Their movements were stiff at first, but after only a few breaths, the muscle memory preserved in the fragments of their souls began to take effect, and their movements gradually became smoother.

They bent down and picked up the bomb guns, chainsaw swords, and other weapons scattered on the ground.

Finally, they spontaneously formed a neat line in front of Qin Mo, awaiting orders.

There was no breathing. There was no heartbeat. There were no vital signs.

"Hmm...not bad."

Qin Mo nodded in satisfaction.

All of this was witnessed by the surviving Astronaut soldiers not far away.

They were so shocked they were completely speechless.

From beginning to end, they witnessed a series of events that were far beyond their comprehension.

A mysterious being descended from the sky, capable of commanding demons to fight for him.

Chaos Space Marines, those superhuman monsters who were like nightmares in the eyes of the Astronauts, were like poultry waiting to be slaughtered in front of him, powerless to resist.

He can suck away other people's souls with a wave of his hand.

With a wave of his hand, he can stuff the soul back into the armor, creating lifeless puppet warriors.

What's even more terrifying is his attitude when he did all this—he did it so casually.

Any one of these methods, taken individually, would be enough to leave any Star Guardian soldier speechless.

When these feelings converge on the same person, the resulting awe transcends mere surprise and fear; it is an instinctive reverence for something utterly incomprehensible.

What evil and blasphemous witchcraft this is!

Normally, the Inquisitor of the Court of Heinous Crimes would have immediately called in a whirlwind torpedo to blast this area, along with the man, into cosmic dust!

But...but...

Moran's gaze involuntarily fell on the pale golden halo behind Qin Mo.

The halo was initially very faint, almost invisible.

But as Qin Mo continued to eliminate demons and collect the souls of Chaos Warriors, that halo seemed to become brighter and clearer.

Furthermore, the halo radiates a pure, warm, and sacred golden light!

Bathed in the halo, the Astronauts soldiers even felt a warm current flowing through their exhausted bodies, which lessened their pain and swept away their fear.

Moran was reminded once again of the doctrines of the Imperial State Church.

The emperor's messengers travel the world in various guises, their power surpassing the comprehension of mortals.

Do not judge an emperor's will by his appearance, for the emperor's path is beyond the comprehension of ordinary people.

The golden halo behind him, in Christian's eyes, was clearly the sacred radiance found only in portraits of saints.

Moran couldn't think of anything that could explain all of this except for the Emperor's divine power.

"Incredible feat... This must be a miracle bestowed by the great God-Emperor in the Warp! Praise be to the God-Emperor! Praise be to the Sage!"

"Praise be to the Divine Emperor! Praise be to the Sage!"

Qin Mo paid no heed to the awe-inspiring gazes of the Star Guardians. After inspecting his new troops, he turned and walked towards the survivors.

Moran instinctively straightened his back.

Qin Mo asked, "What's the situation around here? Take me to the other defensive lines. Wherever there are Chaos Heretics, that's where I'll go."

Moran paused for a moment, then quickly nodded.

"Sir, the nearest outpost, Beta 4, is only fifteen kilometers away, and they are under heavy attack from the Black Legion!"

Qin Mo nodded slightly.

That's exactly what he wanted to hear.

More chaotic forces mean more demon souls, more merit points, and a more powerful Myriad Soul Banner.

Saving the imperial troops stationed on those positions will earn you more faith from ordinary people, and according to the system's explanation, faith can also be converted into merit.

Kill two birds with one stone.

"Lead the way," Qin Mo said succinctly.

"Yes!" Christian's spirits lifted, and he immediately began to organize the surviving soldiers to pack their equipment and prepare for departure.

However, Qin Mo quickly frowned as the Star Army began to march briskly along the roads through the ruins.

too slow.

These ordinary soldiers had done their best to travel, but they were, after all, just ordinary humans.

In Qin Mo's view, the speed of marching with heavy loads was practically no different from that of a tortoise crawling.

At this rate, it would probably take two hours to reach the nearest outpost. Who knows if there will still be any survivors left there in two hours?

"Forget it." Qin Mo waved his hand impatiently. "At this rate, by the time you get there, there won't be anything left."

Before the Star Guardians could react, they felt a gentle yet powerful force supporting their bodies.

They were simultaneously lifted off the ground by this force.

"Varied--!"

The Star Guard soldiers cried out in alarm.

Their feet left the ground, and their bodies were enveloped in a faint layer of spiritual energy.

The dark clouds beneath Qin Mo's feet rapidly expanded, enveloping everyone within them.

The power armor was also lifted up by spiritual energy and neatly arranged at the edge of the black clouds.

"Give me directions," Qin Mo said casually.

Moran was currently floating in the air in a very inelegant posture, his legs instinctively pushing against the void.

But he was, after all, a Cardian, and Cardians learn to face fear before they learn to walk.

He adjusted his mindset in just three seconds and pointed in one direction:

"That direction!"

"knew."

Qin Mo activated his spiritual power, and the black clouds suddenly accelerated.

The ruins, craters, and wreckage on the ground quickly shrank beneath their feet.

The cold wind whistled past their ears, but the spiritual energy barrier protected everyone completely, preventing any chill from seeping in.

Some of the young soldiers couldn't help but look down. The land of Cadia stretched out beneath their feet, the gray-brown earth bearing the marks of war.

Thick columns of smoke rose from all directions, and the flashes of explosions and beams of laser light could be faintly seen in the distance.

The entire planet is burning.

They were flying over this infernal land on a dark cloud.

"By the Emperor..." a young soldier murmured again, but this time it was not out of fear, but out of genuine awe.
