Dragon Raja: The Divine Man Lu Mingfei

Chapter 45 Opening Up a New Landscape

Su Xiaoqiang buried her head in her phone, her fingertips swiping aimlessly across the screen, her eyes not focused on the content at all. She was just using this action to cover the burning blush on her face. Without a mirror, she couldn't see what she looked like, but just from the heat radiating from her cheeks, she knew her expression must be very strange—red and hot, even the tips of her ears were burning.

She and Lu Mingfei had been bickering for three years, teasing each other since the beginning of high school, and they understood each other's temperaments very well. Lu Mingfei was a sarcastic person, and if he saw her looking so shy now, he would definitely tease her about it.

While scrolling through her phone, Su Xiaoqiang secretly glanced at Lu Mingfei and noticed that he was looking straight ahead, seemingly unaware of her unusual behavior. She breathed a sigh of relief and then truly focused her attention on her phone.

As she scrolled through the names, Su Xiaoqiang suddenly realized that her random clicking had accidentally led her to the QQ login page. Two accounts were prominently displayed: one nicknamed "Ming Shen," which she knew very well—it was Lu Mingfei's QQ account, formerly known as "Mingming," but she didn't know when it had been changed to such a cheesy name; the other account, however, was completely unfamiliar to her, nicknamed "The Mark of Sunset."

Su Xiaoqiang guessed that this was probably Lu Mingfei's alternate account. After all, it wasn't unusual for students in this era to have two alternate accounts. However, the name was quite literary, which didn't match Lu Mingfei's usual carefree attitude at all.

Her finger hovered over the screen, a little curious, and she clicked to take a look. But then she thought, it's never right to snoop on other people's privacy. Just then, Lu Mingfei's restless hand moved again, and her hesitation vanished instantly. Wasn't Lu Mingfei violating her privacy right now? Wouldn't it be reasonable for her to retaliate?

Without hesitation, Su Xiaoqiang logged into "The Marks of Sunset." She expertly opened the chat history synced with her computer, but after flipping through a few pages, she froze. Like a malfunctioning robot, she slowly turned her neck, her eyes wide, and said in an incredulous voice:

"Lu Mingfei, you, you actually used a female account to scam people!?"

Lu Mingfei then belatedly realized that he had forgotten to take his phone back when he showed Su Xiaoqiang Chen Wenwen's messages!

When he glanced at the chat history Su Xiaoqiang was scrolling through, his face instantly darkened. He had specially prepared this account, intending to send a farewell message to Fatty Lu Mingze on the day he was discharged from the hospital, to truly destroy his spirit. But who could have imagined that before the plan could even begin, Little Fairy would stumble upon it?

"Damn it!" Old Master Lu cursed inwardly. This was a dark chapter in his past, and now he was being forced to take the blame. This made Old Master Lu very unhappy!

His brain raced, frantically trying to figure out how to make Su Xiaoqiang forget about it. Before long, Lu Mingfei's clever mind came up with a foolproof method—he'd heard that to cover up a stimulus, you had to use an even stronger stimulus to divert attention, and so Lu Mingfei had a solution.

"Haha, the kid is just kidding, don't take it seriously!" Lu Mingfei's face instantly lit up with a bright smile. His hands moved as fast as the wind, snatching the phone from Su Xiaoqiang's hand and deftly stuffing it into his pocket.

The series of movements was so fast it was almost unbelievable; Su Xiaoqiang didn't even see the afterimage before it was over. Before she could react, Lu Mingfei quickly spoke up again, "Oh, right! I remembered I forgot something upstairs. Little Fairy, come with me to get it, and then I'll take you home!"

"Hey, wait..." Su Xiaoqiang wanted to ask something more, but before she could finish speaking, she felt her lips being sealed by a warm and soft touch. The familiar warmth swept over her again, and her body instantly went limp, as if all her strength had been drained away. She could only let Lu Mingfei carry her back to the presidential suite with unsteady steps.

"Didn't you say you forgot something? Why are you just standing here?" Su Xiaoqiang sat on the bed swinging her legs, wisely not mentioning the QQ alt account again.

"Yeah, I was just wondering what I'd forgotten?" Lu Mingfei sat down next to her, speaking slowly.

"Huh? If you can't remember, you can think about it slowly after I leave." Su Xiaoqiang said, and was about to get up, but before she could stand up, Lu Mingfei reached out and grabbed her. Her legs went weak, and she was pulled down to sit on Lu Mingfei's lap, her cheeks instantly turning slightly red.

"I just remembered I forgot to take something," Lu Mingfei suddenly said, his tone serious. Then, he changed the subject, "Little Fairy, do you know what 'vision' means?"

"What are you talking about?" Su Xiaoqiang frowned, completely unable to follow Lu Mingfei's train of thought. How did he suddenly start talking about "patterns"? It was completely inexplicable.

"Perspective is also a kind of wisdom of making choices. Little Fairy, you just saw something you shouldn't have seen. Now I need to give you some stimulation to make you forget what you just saw." Lu Mingfei talked nonsense in a serious manner, his expression as serious as if he were talking about some philosophy of life.

"So, what you really want to say is... Waaah..." Before Su Xiaoqiang could finish speaking, the familiar touch covered her again. Her body stiffened instinctively, and she wanted to break free, but a faint longing, which she herself was unaware of, rose in her heart.

A few minutes later, Lu Mingfei released her and continued, "Perspective is the boundary of cognition; essentially, it is the breadth and depth of a person's view of the world."

"What exactly... do you mean...?" Su Xiaoqiang asked weakly, her voice as soft as cotton.

"What I want to say is—Little Fairy, you need to broaden your horizons so that I can understand the real you more deeply," Lu Mingfei said, looking into her eyes and emphasizing each word.

Su Xiaoqiang stared blankly into Lu Mingfei's eyes. Those eyes were as clear as mountain spring water, without a trace of impurity, yet they held an indescribable heat, as if they could envelop her entirely. She felt as if she were surrounded by a warm flame, her blood was slowly heating up, and even her breathing became a little rapid.

As she gazed into his eyes, she felt as if she were melting under his intense gaze; all her resistance and shyness vanished in that instant. She instinctively followed Lu Mingfei's instructions, gently closing her eyes, taking a deep breath, as if she had let down all her defenses, allowing her perspective to gradually broaden.

She no longer dwelled on those girlish thoughts, no longer feared being seen through by him, and only wanted Lu Mingfei to understand her more deeply, to understand the softness hidden beneath her strong exterior, and to understand the care beneath her seemingly bickering relationship.
