Dragon Raja: The Divine Man Lu Mingfei

Chapter 16 suggests transferring Kassel College to me, Lu Mingfei.

"Huh?!" Su Xiaoqiang's face was full of disbelief, and she even doubted whether she had heard correctly.

She subconsciously reached out and touched Lu Mingfei's forehead, wondering if he'd been up all night and gone mad, or if he was mentally unstable. What normal person would make such a request at a time like this? Kassel College is a top-tier university; admission isn't something you can just secure by talking to a professor a couple of times. Even if her father had the ability to get her into Stanford, it would have required a huge amount of favors and money. Lu Mingfei's request was way too much!

"Hey, what are you doing? Don't disturb my meal! And what kind of look is that?" Lu Mingfei turned his head away, dodging Su Xiaoqiang's hand that reached out to pat his head, while giving Su Xiaoqiang a disgruntled glance.

Su Xiaoqiang withdrew her hand, touched her chin, and muttered to herself, "He doesn't have a fever, Lu Mingfei, how could you say such nonsense?" Normally, if Lu Mingfei dared to speak to her in such a tone, Su Xiaoqiang would have immediately lashed out, showing him what it meant to be the unyielding authority of a boss. But now, her heart was filled with worry for Lu Mingfei's mental state, so she had to temporarily suppress her anger and decide not to dwell on his words and actions.

"Ahem, Mingfei," Professor Guderian cleared his throat, a troubled look on his face, "Our Kassel College has a rather unique situation, and it might not be suitable for your friend. How about this? I have a few friends who are professors at the University of Chicago. I can put in a good word for you and your girlfriend to study there. What do you think?"

"Pah! Who's his girlfriend? We're just ordinary classmates!" Su Xiaoqiang's face turned bright red instantly upon hearing Professor Guderian's words, like a ripe apple. She quickly clarified, her tone slightly flustered, afraid that others would misunderstand.

As soon as Su Xiaoqiang finished speaking, Ye Sheng and Jiu Deya couldn't help but laugh. Both of them had a gossipy look on their faces, their eyes scanning back and forth between Lu Mingfei and Su Xiaoqiang, clearly full of curiosity about their relationship.

Lu Mingfei remained unmoved, swallowed the food in his mouth, and said calmly, "Indeed, Xiaotiannv is my good friend. There is nothing between us, nothing more."

Upon hearing this, Su Xiaoqiang took a deep breath to calm herself, but for some reason, a faint sense of loss inexplicably welled up in her heart. The feeling came without warning, and even she found it hard to believe.

Before Su Xiaoqiang could even process the inexplicable sense of loss, Lu Mingfei's next words pulled her back to reality: "Little Fairy, what do you think of the professor's suggestion? Are you interested in the University of Chicago? It's okay, no need to rush to answer, there's plenty of time, you can go back and think about it slowly."

Coming to her senses, Su Xiaoqiang frowned, her mind replaying the conversation between Lu Mingfei and Professor Guderian. The more she thought about it, the more something seemed off—this didn't seem like recruitment for a top university at all. This group of people looked exactly like a foreign fraud gang, offering tempting conditions to lure people abroad. She didn't dare to think about what was coming next.

At this thought, her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly stood up and said to Professor Guderian with a forced smile, "Professor, I'm sorry, I need to go to the restroom." As she spoke, she grabbed Lu Mingfei, who was still stuffing himself with food, and forcibly dragged him away from the table.

Reaching a secluded corner, Su Xiaoqiang checked left and right to make sure no one was following them, then scolded Lu Mingfei in a tone of utter exasperation: "Eating, eating, all you do is eat! Lu Mingfei, do you know you're in big trouble now?!"

"Huh?" Lu Mingfei was completely baffled, wondering what the little fairy in front of him was up to.

Seeing that Lu Mingfei was still oblivious, Su Xiaoqiang sighed and revealed all her previous speculations, expressing her hope that Lu Mingfei would quickly find a way to reject those people and not be deceived by their sweet talk.

"Don't worry, little fairy, they're not the kind of scam group you're thinking of. This matter is indeed not as simple as it seems on the surface. I'll explain it to you in detail later when we have time."

Seeing Su Xiaoqiang's nervous expression, Lu Mingfei couldn't help but laugh. He knew Su Xiaoqiang was worried about him, but things like dragons and hybrids were complicated and couldn't be explained in a short time. He didn't mind letting an ordinary person like Su Xiaoqiang know those so-called secrets, but the thought of having to explain from the beginning made Lu Mingfei's procrastination kick in. Anyway, there would be plenty of time later, he could talk about it when he had time.

Su Xiaoqiang looked at Lu Mingfei's confident demeanor and felt conflicted, but ultimately chose to temporarily believe him.

The two returned to the table, where the plates that Lu Mingfei had emptied had been cleared away by the waiter, making the table look much cleaner and tidier.

Seeing the two sit down again, Professor Guderian cleared his throat and spoke again: "Mingfei, you may not know this, but your parents are actually our honorary alumni and have donated to the college." He then took a photograph from his pocket and gently handed it to Lu Mingfei, continuing:

"They care about you a lot. Although I've never met them, I heard they've been busy with very important projects and have been traveling all over the world these past few years. Oh, by the way, here's a letter your mother wrote to the college about you."

Lu Mingfei looked down at the photo in his hand. The photo was of a summer garden. In the distance, the Kassel College was faintly visible in the sunset. In the foreground, there were countless climbing roses, their green color deep and clear. A man and a woman were walking hand in hand among the climbing roses. The man was wearing a loose white shirt and a pair of beach shorts, with wooden flip-flops on his feet. The woman was wearing a pure white cotton dress.

He then took the letter from Professor Guderian. The letter was printed out, and Lu Mingfei quickly glanced through it. The content was roughly that his parents were too busy with work to attend school, so they specifically asked Principal Angers to accept him into the College of Kassel. The letter was signed "Giovini" in neat handwriting.

"Heh." After reading it, Lu Mingfei couldn't help but laugh; he was laughing out of anger.

Lu Mingfei originally planned to cooperate with the Kassel group to put on a show and naturally enroll in university to experience the legendary university life, but it turned out that these people really treated him like a fool!

This letter is obviously a forgery. How could he not know where his biological parents are making their fortune? They're far away in the Arctic, completely cut off from outside communication. How could they possibly write to your college?

Professor Guderian seemed oblivious to Lu Mingfei's emotional shift and continued speaking to himself, "Mingfei, there are some things your parents can't say to you in person, so I'll have to relay them to you—" He cleared his throat and suddenly spoke in an incredibly affectionate tone, "Mingfei, Mom and Dad…"

"Stop, stop, stop, don't say it anymore, or I'll throw up." Lu Mingfei knew without even thinking what cheesy stuff he was about to say, so he quickly raised his hand to interrupt him, his face full of disgust.

Lu Mingfei was in an extremely bad mood. The people in Kassel were really trying to win him over with their familial appeal. He felt nauseous just thinking about Lu Lincheng. Qiao Weini, on the other hand, was different. After all, she was genuinely kind to him, and Lu Mingfei still had some goodwill towards her. He wouldn't mind showing her filial piety when he went to the Arctic.

These people from Kassel College not only tried to fool him using Lu Lincheng's name, but they even dragged Qiao Weini into it! This was too much! Master Lu was very unhappy!

He casually tore the photo in his hand in half, with Qiao Weini and Lu Lincheng each taking up a separate half. Lu Mingfei first crumpled Lu Lincheng's half into a ball and precisely tossed it into the nearby trash can, then carefully folded Qiao Weini's half and put it in his pocket. Only then did he raise his head again, a forced smile on his face:

"Professor, let's not talk about it anymore. I think we should just forget about the admission. However, if your principal is willing to transfer the college to my name, I might consider joining Kassel."

The refusal in those words couldn't be clearer; Ye Sheng, Jiu Deyaji, and Su Xiaoqiang all understood it. Only Professor Guderian hadn't quite grasped it yet, and kept trying to persuade him to stay: "Mingfei, let's talk this over. Transferring ownership of the academy is something like that..."

Lu Mingfei didn't give Professor Guderian another chance to persuade him to stay. He was too lazy to argue with these people, so he reached out and pulled Su Xiaoqiang, who looked completely bewildered and didn't know why things had suddenly turned out this way, away from the restaurant.
