Journey to the West: Black Six Ears

005.1 Fighting the Little White Dragon

"Amitabha Buddha, Third Prince, this humble monk does not eat fish."

Deep within Eagle's Sorrow Gorge, Sun Qiong looked at the fish and meat that Little White Dragon had brought her, her face showing a troubled expression.

Little White Dragon was also a little embarrassed.

He has nothing here; the only things he can offer are some fish and meat.

As for vegetarian food, you'll have to find it yourself if you want to eat it.

However, since it was the holy monk in person, and there was still a chance to become his eldest disciple, the White Dragon had no choice but to speak up:

"Master, please wait a moment. I'll go and find you some vegetarian food."

Having received Sun Qiong's approval, the little white dragon immediately transformed into a dragon and flew towards Snake Coil Mountain.

He naturally didn't intend to search for it himself; he would leave the task to the mountain gods and local deities.

"Where are the mountain gods and land deities?"

The white dragon recited the incantation "Om" and was able to summon the local earth god.

The land did indeed arrive rapidly, panting heavily.

Why are you wasting your time like this?

The white dragon complained, offering no explanation to the land deity, and then continued, "Go quickly and prepare some vegetarian food, don't keep me waiting."

Upon hearing this, Tu Di's heart skipped a beat.

But then, a surge of ecstasy welled up inside him.

That's for sure now!

Just as the Great Sage said, this little white dragon has truly gone mad.

They even dared to kidnap the pilgrim appointed by Buddha, and even wanted to replace the Great Sage.

Since you're so insane, you'll naturally face your own destruction.

However, the land did not intend to remind him, but simply nodded with its head bowed.

"Hurry up, hurry up, you're wasting time. I'll meet you after five lashes, and you can help me clear my head."

Bai Long waved his hand impatiently, full of disdain.

The land took a deep look, turned around, and disappeared on the spot.

The little white dragon lay still, waiting for the land to bring food.

Before long, the little white dragon suddenly heard footsteps.

Things were done quickly, despite it being just a minor deity.

After all, we are serving the future Mighty King Bodhisattva, so it's only right that we take it seriously.

But you can't give them a nice look.

The white dragon's face hardened, and he spoke in a harsh tone:

"Why are you so slow? You've delayed our business. You'll regret it!"

"Oh? How are you going to carefully examine my skin?"

However, what entered my ears was an extremely unfamiliar voice.

The little white dragon looked up in horror, only to be met with a long, golden-red staff.

The iron rod weighed 13,500 jin and changed shape with him. With just a light press on his forehead, Little White Dragon saw stars.

"It hurts so much!"

The little white dragon clutched its head and fell to the ground.

Even the transformation couldn't be maintained; with a tremor, the dragon's body was revealed.

What a magnificent sight! A white jade thread hangs down, and pearls exhale colorful mist.

Before long, the headache subsided, and the little white dragon finally let out a breath of anger:

"Who dares to ambush and injure me here?"

"Never mind who I am, I'll ask you this: is the holy monk from the Tang Dynasty with you?"

The white dragon took a closer look.

The newcomer carried a golden-red iron rod on his shoulder, wore a brocade robe, a tiger-skin skirt around his waist, and deerskin boots. He looked like a human, but he was actually a monkey with a hairy face and a thunder god's mouth.

Bai Long's expression suddenly changed. This appearance made him realize that this guy was probably the fierce playboy the holy monk had mentioned.

Putting aside the issue of the Six-Eared Macaque, the White Dragon gritted his teeth:

"So you're that man-eating white horse, that utterly arrogant monkey?"

The Six-Eared Macaque sneered and brandished his iron rod:

"Nonsense, you're asking for it!"

He swung the stick, and with a whoosh, slammed it heavily onto the dragon's back.

With a cracking sound, the dragon scales shattered, and dragon blood gushed out like a pillar.

"what!"

With a scream, the little white dragon, enduring the pain, leaped into the air, hovering there, spitting out blood-stained saliva, and cursing angrily:

"Monkey, I've barely escaped the heavenly laws and faced certain death, less than a year later, and I'm just drifting through life here, when I run into you, you wicked demon, trying to harm me!"

The Six-Eared Macaque ignored this advice and simply pointed his staff to the sky:

"You wicked dragon, give me back my master!"

"Bah! Come down from the sky if you dare!"

The little white dragon covered his wound and laughed heartily.

How can a mere monkey head fly?

However, the mountain monkey just gave a sinister smile, stuck the iron bar in its hand upside down into the ground, and pointed at the iron bar, saying:

"You wicked dragon, you don't recognize this iron rod of mine? It came from the Dragon Palace of the East Sea and is called the Heavenly River Suppressing Divine Iron, also known as the Ruyi Jingu Bang (Golden Cudgel). Let alone a small dragon, even the Dragon King of the East Sea wouldn't dare to be disrespectful to me!"

The white dragon suddenly realized, its long beard trembling slightly, its voice mocking:

"Who do we have here? It turns out to be the Heavenly Horse Keeper from the past."

"Hey!"

Enraged, the iron rod seemed to sense the monkey's emotions and instantly grew to reach the sky.

In the blink of an eye, the little white dragon saw a golden light hurtling straight toward its face.

The next instant was accompanied by a dragon's roar filled with mournful cries and screams.

The dragon in the sky crashed heavily to the ground, and even its two horns on its head were broken in two by the iron rod.

With just one blow, he was half-dead. At this moment, the White Dragon realized that the Great Sage Equaling Heaven who dared to wreak havoc in the Heavenly Palace back then was truly capable.

But the little white dragon was still unwilling to give up.

Although he couldn't defeat the monkey, the monkey was clearly not liked by the holy monk either, otherwise the holy monk wouldn't have chosen to run away.

With Guanyin Bodhisattva standing behind him, offending the monkey wouldn't be a big problem, but if he offended the holy monk and the monk refused to take him on the journey to the West, that would be troublesome.

After much deliberation, the White Dragon made a decision.

He endured the excruciating pain and spoke to the monkey:

"Don't hit me, don't hit me, Grandpa Monkey, I know I was wrong."

"Great Sage, you may not know this, but this place is the border of the Western Fan Hapi Kingdom. Not far from this Snake Coil Mountain, there is a temple called Guanyin Temple. To the southeast of the temple is Black Wind Mountain, and inside Black Wind Cave lives a Black King. Perhaps it was this king who captured the Holy Monk."

Upon hearing Bai Long's words, the Six-Eared Macaque put away his iron rod with a strange expression.

According to Sun Qiong's original plan, the little white dragon, who was beaten up like this, should obediently release Tang Sanzang, then explain his relationship with Guanyin Bodhisattva and apply to join the team.

Then Sun Qiong used her avatar and transformation techniques to lure the white dragon away.

But this guy doesn't play by the rules; even at this point, he still has ideas.

However, Sun Qiong quickly changed her mind and had a new plan.

He pointed at the little white dragon and said in a cold voice:

"If you're lying to me, I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget."

"No, no, I wouldn't dare."

The little white dragon shook his head repeatedly, though he was afraid, he was not entirely convinced.

You're someone who even a holy monk would run away from, what right do you have to say these things to me, Little White Dragon?

"snort!"

The six-eared macaque flashed and headed towards the Guanyin Temple.

The little white dragon let out a long breath, clutched his wounds, and limped towards Eagle's Sorrow Gorge.

Soon, he saw the monk sitting by the water.

Seeing that he was half-dead, the monk was shocked and rushed forward to support the little white dragon.

"Third Prince, what's wrong with you?"

"Holy Monk, I have done my best. I have temporarily driven that monkey away."

The White Dragon grabbed the monk's sleeve and spat out a mouthful of blood.

That's right. Although he got beaten up, Little White Dragon managed to drive the monkey away with his words.

"However, holy monk, you didn't tell me that the monkey was the Great Sage Equal to Heaven who caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago."

The little white dragon looked at Sun Qiong with a hint of resentment.

If he had known it was Sun Wukong, he would have just behaved himself and stayed still in the water.

Wait until that guy leaves before taking the holy monk away from here.

"Third Prince, so you've dealt with that monkey? The position of eldest disciple is probably rightfully yours."

The monk's face lit up with joy, and he praised the monk repeatedly.

Upon hearing the title of Senior Brother, the White Dragon's face turned pale.

The broken dragon horn still throbbed with pain, and the crushed lower back was even more agonizing. If it weren't for the dragon race's formidable physical strength, he would probably be dead on the spot. The little white dragon didn't want to face the monkey again, so he quickly waved his hands:

"No, no, no, I am not worthy of the position of senior brother. I'd better give up."

The monkey was tricked away, it didn't die.

They'll be discovered by the monkey sooner or later. When that happens, Tang Sanzang will call him "eldest disciple," and given the monkey's temper, he'll definitely explode at him.

Seeing that the white dragon refused, the monk sighed softly:

"Third Prince, even if you can't be the eldest disciple, why can't you be the second disciple?"

Second apprentice?

Little White Dragon was very tempted.

But intelligence quickly took over.

Tang Sanzang's disciples were probably all arranged by Guanyin Bodhisattva. For example, the White Dragon Horse was assigned the position of a horse.

If the number one disciple is this powerful, the other two are probably not much different.

These guys are still too dangerous. Is there a position that allows them to not ride horses but is easier to infiltrate the pilgrimage team?

"Or, Holy Monk, I might as well become your follower."

Upon hearing this, hesitation appeared on the monk's fair face:

"But I already have two Servants."

Two Servants? They're just two mortals.

I don't know what good luck I had, but I didn't die in the mouths of those monsters.

But this actually benefited me.

The White Dragon smiled smugly:

"It's okay."

"It will be gone soon."
