Wang Zuxian frowned. She had noticed earlier that Li Mengdie seemed very certain that she and Qin Weiming would be assigned to the same class.

"How did you know? We don't even know if we'll be in the same class, and you've already guessed it." Wang Zuxian thought about it, and Li Mengdie didn't seem to have any relatives or friends at Guoguang.

Li Mengdie shook her head. She realized that Wang Zuxian was incredibly oblivious to this, and she herself was completely unaware of it: "Don't you think about it? If you and Qin Weiming really didn't have any connection, would he even know you? And the two of you seem to have such a strong bond with each other. This means that you two are destined to be together. Even if you don't necessarily end up together in the future, at least there's a high chance that fate will arrange for you to be in the same class."

Most importantly, there won't be many freshmen at Guoguang High School, so it's impossible to divide them into several classes.

Of course, Li Mengdie kept these words to herself; she certainly wouldn't say them directly to Wang Zuxian.

Hearing Li Mengdie's words, Wang Zuxian accepted this explanation. After all, this explanation sounded much more effective than the others, and she agreed with it: "Then what you said is right. I had thought about it before. How come I became familiar with A-Ming so quickly, when I didn't become familiar with other people so quickly?"

Li Mengdie chuckled, too lazy to expose her friend's thoughts. Anyway, she could see through Wang Zuxian's feelings to the letter: "Since you already have the answer in your heart, why do you keep asking for my opinion? Anyway, this is what I think, so you don't need to worry about it anymore."

"Alright." Wang Zuxian thought about it and realized that it made sense. Since Li Mengdie had already said so, she didn't need to think about it anymore and simply nodded in agreement.

On the way back, Wang Zuxian told Fang Yanmei a little white lie: "Can you tell me in advance which class you'll be assigned to?"

"Oh? Sure." Fang Yanmei, unaware that something was amiss, readily agreed.

However, right after she agreed, Wang Zuxian's mood visibly improved, which made Fang Yanmei very curious: "What's wrong, Xiaoxian? Why do I feel like your mood has suddenly improved a lot?"

"Oh, did I?" Wang Zuxian immediately said awkwardly. She felt that she hadn't made it that obvious, but in Fang Yanmei's eyes, she was as conspicuous as a firefly in the dark.

"Of course there is, but I won't force you if you don't want to talk about it. Don't worry, you can tell me anytime if you have any thoughts," Fang Yanmei immediately said. Her words reassured Wang Zuxian, who realized she had been making a fuss.

But on the way back, Wang Zuxian shared her recent thoughts with Li Mengdie: "I think Amin has been acting strange lately, like he's become a different person. He's always kept a certain distance from me, and even when I want to talk to him, I feel like he's deliberately distancing himself from me."

"Really? I was right next to you and witnessed how considerate Ah Ming was to you the whole time. He was always watching you, but none of what you're saying happened." Li Mengdie immediately spoke up for Qin Weiming. She felt that Wang Zuxian was really good at making things up. Weren't these all lies? Just based on how Qin Weiming spoke to Wang Zuxian before, it was obvious that he had a good impression of her, but Wang Zuxian herself just didn't realize it.

Thinking about it this way, most people actually came for Joey Wong, but she didn't seem to realize it.

"Forget it, forget it. Children and grandchildren have their own blessings. Why should I worry about it?" Li Mengdie shook her head and sighed in a pretentious manner.

However, seeing Wang Zuxian's expression, she realized that Wang Zuxian was about to rush over and beat Li Mengdie up, which startled her so much that she dodged around: "What are you doing? I'm warning you, don't lay a hand on me, I know a few punches and kicks too."

Wang Zuxian glared at her fiercely, feeling that Li Mengdie's thoughts were not quite the same as her own.

"You're too optimistic. You think everything is great. How can you think like that? I'm not gold, I'm not someone who can be easily chosen by others. Besides, I haven't even decided whether I like him or not, so why say so much?"

Li Mengdie rolled her eyes. If Wang Zuxian really didn't care, she wouldn't have said so much to her. Besides, before that, she clearly remembered how Wang Zuxian and Qin Weiming chatted.

That was something she never did when she was chatting with him. In front of Qin Weiming, she was always elegant and well-mannered, and would never show the same demeanor as when she was talking to him.

"Give me a break. You don't even know if you'll believe what you're saying." Li Mengdie sneered twice and ignored her words.

Now that she knows Joey Wong's habits, she will not indulge her in this matter.

The two best friends teased and disliked each other until they broke up. Even back home, lying in bed, Wang Zuxian kept thinking about this: "If I really end up in the same class as Ah Ming, wouldn't that prove Mengdie was right? Is our fate really that strong?"

To be honest, even Joey Wong herself wasn't optimistic about this matter, because in her heart, it was simply too difficult to face.

Over the past few days, Wang Zuxian has honestly asked herself if her relationship with Qin Weiming was just a decent one, nothing particularly special, and not worth her worrying about so much.

"But Mengdie is right. If it were someone else, I wouldn't have such feelings for him. Oh well, let nature take its course. If something really happens, we'll still run into each other at school."

That being said, Wang Zuxian originally had some objections or hesitations about going to Guoguang Basketball Club, since she had always intended to make basketball her lifelong career.

When she gets older, she will become a regular coach or teacher, or a wife and mother. This was the path that Wang Zuxian's parents originally planned for her.

However, if you go to Guoguang Middle School now, many things will be quite different from before.

"When Ah Ming met with me these past two days, he didn't mention any of these things at all. He's so mature. I could never do that," Wang Zuxian thought to herself.

She was finally able to distinguish the differences between Qin Weiming and Fang Yanmei recently. However, she couldn't understand why Qin Weiming's attitude towards her seemed to have changed so much. Even though Fang Yanmei was trying her best to play the role, she was still clearly different from Qin Weiming.

"But Ah Ming has been a bit too cold lately. Did I offend him somehow? Oh well, he won't tell me anyway." Joey Wong casually put the matter out of her mind.
