The reasons I chose Hino Harufumi were all confirmed after we met.

He had no trace of murder, and due to the suspicion caused by factional struggles within the Shanrong Society, he had never participated in core operations. He was so clean that he left no trace within the Metropolitan Police Department. A ruthless man who once defeated an entire Qingtie group with his bare fists was not under special surveillance, which speaks volumes about his image in the eyes of others.

He is a marginal figure, but he is also the companion who grew up with the "crown prince" of the Shanrong Society, which means that he may have some secrets.

There was no evidence to prove that he possessed anything. When Kirihara Akira met him, he tried to trick him, and actually got some results.

It seems that Harufumi Hino really does have some inside information.

Being able to figure this out is already a good start.

"Thank you for your hard work." Mori Shizue was unusually not in the mood to read, feeling a little sleepy, and rubbing her temples as if she had a headache.

"Are you feeling unwell?" Kirihara Akira asked.

"I probably didn't sleep well; I have a bit of a headache," Mori Shizue said in a low voice.

"How about I give you a massage?" Kirihara Akira said jokingly.

Mori Shizue raised her head and fell silent for a moment. She didn't know why Kirihara Akira, who was so quick-witted in important matters, seemed so slow-witted, even foolish, when it came to her own sister.

I have no idea how Qingye would react if I were face to face with him, or how my mother would react.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Kirihara Akira felt a little embarrassed and shrugged, saying, "I was just joking."

"I know, thank you," Mori Shizue said, pulling her robe tighter as she felt a little cold.

It's getting windy outside.

The wind picked up in just a few breaths, and the rain followed closely behind, turning from a light drizzle to a downpour in just a few breaths.

Kirihara Akira took off her coat and casually draped it over Mori Shizue's shoulders: "I heard it was going to rain a long time ago, and those professional maids didn't even prepare any warm clothes for you."

He said, "The forecast says the heavy rain will last from tonight until tomorrow night. If you're not feeling well, you should get some rest."

Mori Shizue gently stroked her coat with her fingers, leaving a soft nasal sound: "Mmm."

She hummed in agreement, but didn't move.

After a moment of silence, Mori Shizue asked, "Aren't you going to rest?"

"Let me sort it out again."

"About Harufumi Rihino?" Mori Shizue's eyes lit up when she heard this, and she seemed to perk up a bit.

Not wanting to trouble a tired person further, Kirihara Akira shook her head and told a small lie: "It's about organizing the plot of the sequel to 'The Devotion of Suspect X'."

"Heh." Mori Shizue chuckled twice and said, "It's not good to lie."

"You've been exposed." Kirihara Akatsuki pouted and said bluntly, "Stop talking nonsense. You're just a delicate young lady, not like your sister who exercises regularly. You're so weak. Go back to sleep."

"Okay." Shizue Mori finally stood up, leaning on the scaffolding, and said, "You should get some rest too. We're partners, so if anything happens, don't worry too much, just let me know."

"it is good."

Kirihara Akira readily agreed, but as fate would have it, Mori Shizue had just passed by his shoulder when Kirihara Akira's phone rang.

Mori Shizue subconsciously turned to look at Kirihara Akira, who took out her phone and shook her head, saying, "It's nothing, it's Li Changqing calling."

Mori Shizue nodded and turned to leave.

After she left, Kirihara Akira answered the phone. He didn't notice that Mori Shizue stood outside the door and watched him for a while before leaving.

Kirihara Akatsuki answered the phone and said softly, "Kisaragi-sensei, what's up?"

The voice on the other end of the phone was urgent and anxious, without any attempt at embellishment: "You finally answered the phone! Where are you now?"

"I'm at home... why are you in such a hurry?" Kirihara Akira said.

"Are you really at home?" Shiori Kisaragi asked.

Kirihara Akatsuki said jokingly, "You really are here. Should I send you a video?"

It was just a risqué joke as usual, but Shiori Kisaragi immediately hung up the phone and then initiated a video call.

Kirihara Akira was taken aback and answered the video call.

In the picture, Shiori Kisaragi is wearing loose pajamas, as if she has just taken a shower. She was so rushed that she didn't dry off the water stains on her body, which soaked through her clothes and revealed a faint flesh color. Her wet hair also testifies to her panic.

She commanded Kirihara Akira: "Turn the camera around so I can see your surroundings."

Kirihara Akira didn't say much, and obediently held her phone and spun it around.

When he stood still, what he saw in the picture was Shiori Kisaragi's face, which was visibly relaxed and full of charm.

Sensing something was amiss, Kirihara Akatsuki stopped joking and asked, "Teacher, what happened?"

His actions made him nervous, while the instigator, Shiori Kisaragi, acted as if nothing had happened. She sighed and said, "Did you go see Harufumi Hino today?"

"Yes, that's right," Kirihara Akatsuki said. "I came back right after seeing him, and we barely exchanged a few words."

Kisaragi Shiori said, "Something happened to him."

Kirihara Akira leaned back and asked, "Something happened?"

"He got involved in a bombing."

"..." Kirihara Akira was stunned, speechless with shock. He subconsciously repeated the word: "Bombing?"

"This just happened." Kisaragi Shiori stared at Kirihara Akira through the camera, as if trying to scrutinize him, and said, "Yesterday you asked me about Hino Harufumi, and last night he got involved in a bombing, and his fate is still unknown. How can I not be nervous?"

Kirihara Akira recalled his meeting with Hino Harufumi earlier that day. He rubbed his eyes and said, "You just said 'his fate is unknown,' not 'fleeing to escape punishment.' Does that mean he didn't commit the bombing, but was bombed?"

"The specific details are still under investigation, but their preliminary assessment is that this was a murder targeting him," said Shiori Kisaragi. "The technical team has determined that the explosion was caused by gunpowder, which preliminarily rules out vehicle malfunction."

Surveillance footage shows that he was traveling by car towards the port, passing through a busy, bustling street, when the vehicle exploded. However, he was not found inside the car after the explosion. Now, gangsters are searching for him.

Kirihara Akira frowned, deep in thought.

What's going on? Did his words come true? Did the Suruga Group kill him to cover it up?

While Kirihara Akatsuki was thinking, she suddenly noticed that Kisaragi Shiori was staring straight at her.

Kirihara Akatsuki rolled her eyes in exasperation and said, "You still suspect I did it?"

"It's hard to say," said Shiori Kisaragi.

"You know my situation perfectly well," Kirihara Akira said. "How could I possibly have the ability to create a bomb?"

"Okay, okay, I was just kidding," Shiori Kisaragi said. "But I still need to confirm, you and him really don't have any further contact, right?"

"Of course not, you can check." Kirihara Akira said, his phone alerting him to another call coming in.

Kirihara Akira chuckled and said, "Um... Kisaragi-sensei, it's getting cold, wouldn't you like to wear more clothes?"

"Hmm, now that you mention it, it is a bit cold, I..." Shiori Kisaragi said, lowering her head and looking down, and then she saw that her thin nightgown was soaked with water.

Kisaragi Shiori's face turned red instantly, and she immediately hung up the video call.

The next second, Kirihara Akira received a text message from her: "You little rascal!"

Kirihara Akira smiled, then immediately answered the next call: "Hello."

Kirihara Akira recognized the voice on the other end and said, "Brother Hino Harufumi, you contacted me so quickly."
