In the coffee shop.

Mori Kiyoha sat by the window, holding a coffee, watching the farce unfold outside.

The farce came quickly and ended just as quickly.

Shortly after the event outside ended, the door to the coffee shop was pushed open, and a man in a suit and sunglasses walked straight toward Mori Kiyoha.

He stopped behind Mori Kiyoha and bowed deeply without saying a word.

Mori Kiyoha ignored him, gazing at the sunset outside the window before finally taking a sip of coffee.

She suddenly asked, "What do you think?"

"Are you asking about the new young master?"

Mori Kiyoha didn't answer, but just looked at the fiery sunset outside the window.

Through the glass, some of the light was refracted out, while some shone through. In her eyes, she couldn't see her own face clearly, but she could see the fake silver threads stained on the glass mixed with the unreal glow of the sunset, as if it had turned into a hazy twilight, flowing indistinctly.

The man dressed as a bodyguard thought for a moment, then answered the young lady's question seriously: "He seems to have noticed me."

"..." Sen Qingye turned her head, glanced at the loyal bodyguard, and her familiar arrogance reappeared. She said with a half-smile, "Did he find you, or did you let him find you?"

The bodyguard's head was practically buried in the ground: "I didn't give myself away at all, because I know my identity is your guard. Discovering me means discovering you. I would never dare to do such a treasonous thing!"

Mori Kiyoshi said calmly, "So you want me to doubt your professionalism?"

"...No." The bodyguard said, "Perhaps I was too careless, or perhaps it's because Young Master Kirihara does have some special qualities."

Hamamura isn't exactly a skilled fighter, but he's strong and muscular. As for young master Kirihara, frankly, he can't really be described as strong at the moment.

Mori Kiyoha smiled slightly, recalling the races that had been taking place every night recently.

"The two are not in the same league. He was able to take down Hamamura so easily, so he must have some martial arts skills."

"Can you beat him?"

The bodyguard lowered his head and said, "Taking down a high school student isn't something to brag about. I'm just saying, young master has indeed acted somewhat unusually; he probably has a secret to hide."

"Is that so?" Mori Kiyoha remained noncommittal. She put down her coffee and suddenly said, "Kurokawa, you've been serving the Mori family for quite a few years now, haven't you?"

"Yes, it's been thirty years."

"My mother had just become the head of the family at that time," Mori Kiyoha said with a smile. "I have a question for you."

"Please speak, Miss."

"Are you loyal to the Mori family, or to my mother?"

Kurokawa's facial features seemed to shrink in shock at the question, and he suddenly raised his head, his pale eyes seemingly trying to grasp the meaning behind the second young lady's words.

Amused by his reaction, Mori Kiyoha laughed out loud: "Why are you so nervous? Did you think I was going to murder my mother and seize power?"

"Don't worry." Mori Kiyoha's tone suddenly turned dejected: "I don't have that ability, and besides, she's not the one who deserves to die the most."

Kurokawa wiped the cold sweat from his face and chuckled awkwardly.

Mori Kiyoha said, "If you are loyal to the Mori family, then for the sake of stability and harmony within the family, you should turn a blind eye to what I have done recently. My mother represents the Mori family, but she is not the same as the entire Mori family."

Her meaning was simple and clear, without any concealment, so Kurokawa naturally understood.

He sighed inwardly, thinking that no matter how mature the domineering and rebellious second young lady appeared on ordinary days, she was still just a child at heart.

Kurokawa said, "I understand what you mean. But I don't understand why you're so dissatisfied with Young Master Kirihara. Is it because that person is coming?"

As Mori Kiyoha thought of "that person," her eyes grew even colder: "Which group is in charge of reception this time?"

"Suruga Group".

"Oh."

Mori Kiyoha sneered and said, "I have some things to do next, and I'll need your help."

After a moment of silence, her face seemed to float in the deepening darkness, unreal and false. She said, "When people are driven to desperation, they will do things they know are foolish."

……

……

Kirihara Akira sat in the cramped passenger seat of the car, her legs feeling somewhat cramped, but she couldn't say she was uncomfortable.

Shiori Kisaragi gripped the steering wheel, glanced at his leisurely demeanor, and couldn't help but say, "You seem quite comfortable. I'll drive you to the juvenile detention center now."

Kirihara Akira appeared relaxed, but she had been thinking about what had just happened. When she heard her speak, she chuckled and said, "Isn't it because you're here, teacher? I feel safe around you."

Kisaragi Shiori sighed heavily: "You're quite capable to be able to fight back even when surrounded by five people."

"No, it's risky too." Kirihara Akira spoke the truth: "If taking down the first one can intimidate them, everything will be fine. If not, they'll swarm in, and I'll be the one who suffers."

"You're really meticulous," Shiori Kisaragi sighed, "but you're not allowed to do this kind of thing again. If anything happens, call the police immediately."

Kirihara Akira nodded, then suddenly asked, "Teacher, what brings you here all of a sudden?"

"Don't you have a classmate named Li Changqing?"

"Ah, it's him?" Kirihara Akira realized, a warm feeling washing over her.

This guy is very open and honest.

Kisaragi Shiori asked, "How did you get involved with them?"

"I don't know. From the very beginning, they kept asking me if I knew what I had done wrong, but after I took them down, none of them could give a coherent answer. I guess they were just looking for an excuse to deliberately pick a fight with me."

Because the conflict occurred off-campus, those thugs, though incompetent, were shrewd and insisted that the two sides did not know each other. If it really came down to it, Ruyue's status as a teacher did not exert much pressure.

Therefore, Kirihara Akira didn't make things difficult for them; it's better to avoid trouble.

Kisaragi Shiori nodded and fell silent.

From a professional standpoint, she was actually quite reluctant to have too much contact with the child.

In the past few days, she investigated Kirihara Akira's background, discovered some information, and concluded that Kirihara Akira was a pitiful person who was trying to investigate the underworld in order to avenge her parents, or with similar motives.

She believes that a high school student should not be pursuing hatred, and that the injustice he suffered should be compensated by the law.

Furthermore, she believes that Kirihara Akira has amplified the hatred surrounding his parents' deaths, targeting the entire underworld, which could bring him unimaginable danger.

Such a bright and promising young man should not be persecuted by the underworld.

But then Shiori Kisaragi thought again, if she refused, given his precocious intelligence, wouldn't he choose other, more extreme methods?

Shiori Kisaragi wavered between these two directions and couldn't make up her mind.

Until her transfer request was rejected again.

The higher authorities are not approving funding, providing manpower, or issuing any further instructions.

He still had to continue being that damned music teacher, monitoring the damned Suruga Group, and observing the movements of those two delicate young ladies.

—As it turns out, even Kirihara Akira's judgment could not fully cover the ever-changing reality.

In Kirihara Akira's guess, Kisaragi Shiori would first find out about his relationship with the Mori family, and then find out about the Kirihara family's pitiful background. After all, the Mori family is a towering tree, and it's hard to ignore them.

However, perhaps because the Mori family did an excellent job of keeping their secrets, Shiori Kisaragi, the police officer who was ordered to secretly contact the two young ladies of the Mori family, was temporarily unaware of the Mori family's existence.

Unaware of the complex thoughts swirling in her mind, Kirihara Akatsuki spoke up, "What have you thought about that matter we discussed before?"

Shiori Kisaragi composed herself, gripping the steering wheel slightly tighter, her chest puffed out, and she drawled out a reluctant "Um—what should I do?"

Kirihara Akira rolled her eyes and said, "You're so troublesome."

Shiori Kisaragi glared at him and said, "After I went back last time, I thought about it. Being a good singer doesn't mean you can teach. I want you to give me a free lesson. Try it and then I'll think about it."
