Sun Dahu shouted outside, "Let us out! Why are you tying us up?!"

"That's right! What law did we break!" Sun Erniu shouted.

Sun Sangou, Sun Silv, and Sun Wuma also joined in the commotion, and the warehouse became a noisy mess.

"Go ahead and sue!" the villagers retorted defiantly. "You ganged up on Qian Cheng, and now you think you're in the right?"

"Qian Cheng hit someone first! He hit my brother-in-law!"

"Your brother-in-law owes money and won't pay it back, and he even beat up Dr. Deng. He deserved it!"

The two sides were arguing fiercely.

More and more villagers gathered around, having heard that Qian Cheng had been injured and coming to see what was going on. When they saw the five Sun brothers still shouting even though they were tied up, they were immediately enraged.

"That's the money they're charging!"

"Six against one, how shameless!"

"Beat them up!"

Someone picked up clods of dirt and threw them into the warehouse, hitting the Sun brothers.

Village elder Li waved his hand: "Don't argue! I'll handle this."

He walked into the warehouse and looked at the five Sun brothers.

All five men were covered in dirt and grime from being hit by clods of earth, and Sun Dahu even had a cut on his forehead that was bleeding.

"They injured people from our village, which is illegal, and they can't be let go."

"Injured someone?" Old Mrs. Sun sneered. "Who hit whom is still uncertain! I heard it was Qian Cheng from your village who started it!"

"Wang Shoujun owed money and refused to pay it back, and even beat up Deng the veterinarian. Qian Cheng was just doing his duty."

Sun Xinghua interjected, "Heroic act my ass! He beat my man up like that!"

"Exactly!" Sun Dahu's wife chimed in.

The women were all talking at once, making Old Li's head spin.

Old Li raised his voice: "Quiet down! This can only be dealt with when Qian Cheng wakes up. I won't release him now. You all go back first."

"I'm not going back!" Old Mrs. Sun sat down on the ground. "If you don't release them today, I'm not leaving!"

The other women also sat on the ground, some crying, some making a scene.

"This is outrageous! The village officials in Laowozi Village are bullying the people!"

"My man is innocent!"

"Release them! Or we'll die here!"

The villagers gathered around to watch the spectacle, pointing and commenting.

"The Sun family is truly shameless."

"Six against one, and they still have the nerve to cause trouble."

"Village chief, you can't release them!"

Old Li was caught in the middle, torn between two options.

Releasing them would be unfair to Qian Cheng, but it also wouldn't quell the villagers' anger.

"Then you come," Deng Jingshu said coldly. "Let's see if you're ever going to stop."

Seeing that another argument was about to break out, Old Li quickly tried to smooth things over: "Stop arguing! Let's talk about this after Qian Cheng wakes up!"

"Impossible," Old Li said firmly.

Old Mrs. Sun stared at Old Li for a long time, then suddenly stood up and said to Sun Xinghua, "Go, report to the police."

Sun Xinghua realized what was happening and quickly headed towards the town.

Old Li tried to stop him, but the Sun family women surrounded him, preventing him from moving.

Old Li thought about it and agreed.

Sun Xinghua jogged all the way to the town police station, where a young policeman surnamed Liu was on duty. He had just been transferred from the county not long ago.
