Felix attempted to reconstruct a scene from fifty years ago—

A clever, cautious, and ambitious young wizard, after entering Hogwarts, overheard the legend of Slytherin. Being so intelligent, he was bound to discover that the two shared the same magical talent—Parsleyan—which almost certainly meant that the two were actually related by blood.

He must be very excited; the same blood as the noble Slytherins flows in his veins.

Undoubtedly, he would try to find the secret chamber left by his ancestors, which might take several years, but with his wisdom, and perhaps with the help of some snakes... in any case, he succeeded.

As a descendant of Slytherin, he became the new master of the Basilisk.

He naturally inherited everything from there. For example, a hidden room filled with all sorts of forbidden Slytherin documents.

Slytherin were particularly adept at bloodline research and possessed considerable knowledge of powerful ancient magic. Most importantly, in that era, dark magic was rampant, and Slytherin never shied away from researching and using it…

The young wizard received the gifts of his ancestors, secretly absorbing them and delving deeper into the realm of magic, his ambition growing ever larger. Until he was rejected by Dumbledore, he assembled the army of Death Eaters, becoming the infamous Dark Lord.

……

"Could all of this be true? Or is it just my conjecture?" Felix's gaze seemed to pierce through time, witnessing the rise of the second Dark Lord.

He stared motionless at his diary, like a quiet oil painting in the still night.

Who wouldn't want the research materials of a legendary master wizard who bridged the gap between the past and the future?

"The mere possibility is enough to make it worth trying."

"I'm afraid Voldemort might take or destroy this data; that would be troublesome."

Felix already had a plan in mind.

The first step was to initiate communication, but the Horcrux is feigning death...

After thinking for a moment, Felix quickly constructed a small fragment of memory and emotion in his mind.

In his new memories, he remains a young, brilliant wizard who has achieved remarkable success, but the difference is that he possesses extreme arrogance and self-confidence, and has no doubt that he can control this mysterious diary...

"The art of lying is nine parts truth and one part falsehood. I just need to make him misjudge my character and think that I can be used by him," Felix thought.

He opened his diary, picked up a quill pen, dipped it in ink, and wrote a line of text on it with great passion.

"Evil being, reveal your secrets, or I will have no choice but to destroy you completely!"

After a moment's thought, he felt the emotion was right, but the information he conveyed wasn't compelling enough, so he added a paragraph in Lockhart's tone—

"I, Felix Heap, the most outstanding graduate of Hogwarts in a century, have published three magical works and maintained correspondence with hundreds of famous wizards—but I don't boast about it. I didn't get Dumbledore's offer of a position through powerful connections."

He stopped writing, for a second, then two seconds...

An extremely subtle mind-capturing thought swept over, but this consciousness did not forcefully break through his memories or recklessly read the false information within. Instead, it merely circled the periphery, capturing his emotions.

This impressed Felix.

This is also the practice of many masters of mind control. They rarely forcefully enter other people's minds to search through their memories. Instead, they perceive the other person's current emotions and, with the help of their own rich experience, obtain the information they want without anyone noticing.

Under Felix's gaze, the ink on the diary was absorbed.

He waited patiently, and sure enough, a line of text appeared in the diary.

"Hello, Felix Heap."

The text lingered for a few seconds, then quickly disappeared, and a new line of text appeared—

"I am not some kind of dark magic item. That little wizard misunderstood me. The one who truly opened the secret chamber is someone else."

Felix smirked and simply wrote, "Who is it?"

"I can take you to see it."

A dazzling white light surged from the diary, and Felix felt his body being pulled, as if he was about to fall in at any moment.

He quickly closed his diary.

"Bang!"

After a few seconds of pause, he opened the diary again.

The soul in the diary seemed a little dazed, and slowly typed out a question mark.

Felix wrote on it: "Don't mistake me for one of those unreliable little wizards. I'm a genius Slytherin, and I won't fall for your tricks!"

After a pause of more than ten seconds, another line of text appeared on the diary.

"You are certainly cautious enough, Felix Heap, but I am truly not a Dark Magic item. I graduated from Slytherin just like you, and in some ways, I am your senior. Fifty years ago, I was the one who caught the murderer who opened the Chamber of Secrets."

Felix smiled with satisfaction. This was exactly the impression he wanted to give the Horcrux: an arrogant yet shrewd Slytherin.

So don't try to fool him with cheap stuff.

Next, the diary took nearly half an hour to painstakingly write down thousands of words to clearly explain the events of fifty years ago.

As the writing in the diary faded, Felix thoughtfully dripped a few drops of ink onto it.

"The murderer who opened the locked room was Rubeus Hagrid," the diary concluded at the end.

"Then how do you explain controlling the young wizards in the school?" Felix asked a pointed question.

A long passage of text quickly appeared on the pages of the diary.

"The secret room has been reopened..."

"Rupert Hagrid wasn't imprisoned in Azkaban; he remained at the school as the Forbidden Forest Warden. The danger never disappeared, and as I predicted, it finally came to a head this year. I tried to issue a warning, but that young wizard Draco Malfoy wasn't interested; instead, he was more interested in watching the spectacle. I had to control him and try to find evidence of Hagrid's crimes."

The diary was filled with emotion as it read, "Even though I am just a memory, my determination to protect Hogwarts remains unchanged. I am still a member of Hogwarts and have a duty to stop all of this from happening."

Felix wrote in his diary, "How can you prove what you've said?"

"I came from a Muggle orphanage, unlike those pure-blood families whose arrogance is ingrained in their very bones. You can go to the Hogwarts prize room and see if you can find my trophy there."

"It sounds like it," Felix wrote, but under the brain-blocking surgery, he couldn't help but curse inwardly, "You've scanned me seventeen times, do you really think I can't find out?"

"Since all of this is true, you are free to investigate, but time is of the essence, and another attack could happen at any moment. My suggestion is to secretly write to the Ministry of Magic and ask them to take Rubeus Hagrid away temporarily."

"You want me to snitch?" Felix wrote "angrily."

"No, it's just an experiment. Believe me, once you take him away, the attacks will stop immediately." A tempting line appeared in the diary: "After all this is over, you can step forward and enjoy the honor you deserve. I think, a medal from the Order of Merlin—in the name of the hero who ended the Chamber of Secrets attack!"

"However, please keep this a secret for now. Hagrid has someone protecting him at school, and if he finds out about me, he will not hesitate to make me a scapegoat. This is my only request. Once everything comes to light, you can do whatever you want."

Felix paused for a moment, then wrote on it: "I'll consider it."

He then took an elegant box from a suitcase in the corner of the office and put the diary inside.

The intricate magical patterns flashed by in an instant.

After completely isolating his diary from the outside world, Felix reflected on the verbal exchange he had just had in the quiet office, and sincerely exclaimed in admiration—

"You make it sound so real."
