After Chen Ye entered through the entrance of the octagonal tower, he jumped down from the top.

Then Chen Ye began to look around. What he saw was a perfectly normal basic building, with nothing strange about it.

Just then, Chen Ye seemed to notice a strange totem with familiar murals carved on it.

As Chen Ye slowly approached, he noticed the mural and realized that it was exactly the same giant tree that Huang had seen in his spiritual space.

"That's right, that's exactly it." A clear voice came from Chen Ye's right ear.

Chen Ye glanced to the side, then turned his head back. Suddenly, he looked at the strange humanoid object again and exclaimed in surprise, "Holy crap! What are you?"

This sudden scene startled Chen Ye so much that he danced wildly and almost performed a series of Tai Chi moves!

"Calm down! Chen Ye, don't panic." Huang's voice came through, "Don't you recognize my voice?"

Chen Ye, who had initially seemed flustered, couldn't help but ask as he approached the small figure in front of him, "Don't tell me you're Huang Ha?"

"It is indeed me." Huang's reply struck Chen Ye like a thunderbolt. "Don't panic. This is just a new form I've recently discovered. I call it the Remnant Spirit Body. It only requires a portion of energy to maintain."

Chen Ye quickly composed himself, his expression of shock returning. "Let's not talk about that for now. Look at this mural, how did it end up here?"

"It's really strange." Huang stared intently at the mural in front of him. "In addition to the Manqiu Tree we mentioned, there are ten human-shaped sculptures under the tree in this mural."

"What we can't say for sure right now is what these ten human-shaped murals actually represent?"

"Ten humanoid figures?" Chen Ye suddenly realized, and explained as he had thought, "Could it be us?"

"Us?" Huang couldn't help but ask, "You don't think these ten people are you and me, plus the so-called rune array artifacts, do you?"

Chen Ye nodded immediately; that was exactly what he meant.

After Chen Ye explained, Huang listened carefully and pondered for a while. Huang did not deny Chen Ye's idea, but the explanation was too stiff.

Judging from the age of these murals, they must be at least a thousand years old, or even ten thousand years old.

If that's the case, Chen Ye's existence would be impossible; he wouldn't be a historical figure recorded in that era.

"I think the chances of it being true are too slim," Huang explained. "Even if it were true, it would mean that it existed in the past, unless the designer of this huge building foresaw the future."

"But even looking at this mural, the events it foreshadows are clearly not happening at this time; this event needs to be extrapolated to a much later time."

After listening to Huang's account, Chen Ye couldn't help but accept this explanation, realizing that his own description of the situation was far too inaccurate.

To know whether this is a true record of the future, we will have to wait a very long time. Perhaps it does record a scene from the future, but it is clearly not the present.

Just as Chen Ye and Huang were carefully examining the murals on the wall, Chen Ye inadvertently turned his head and saw another image on the left wall that was similar to the one in front of him.

Chen Ye stared intently at it, then walked up to it and examined it carefully.

Upon closer inspection, Chen Ye discovered something extremely shocking: this image seemed to be connected to the one he had just seen.

But this made Chen Ye somewhat suspicious, because they had just discovered these few murals so simply, so why didn't the archaeologists here surround or take them away?

Chen Ye then raised this question, and Huang, who was standing to the side, explained, "It's not that they don't want to take it, but that they can't take it."

After hearing Huang's explanation, Chen Ye's expression became even more puzzled.

"Why?" Chen Ye asked.

"It's obvious that these murals are an integral part of this octagonal tower. If they wanted to take them away, they might damage the building's structure," Huang explained. "But why weren't they fenced off to prevent any damage? Clearly, they didn't expect anyone to leave; they just came in like that."

"That's true. Who would act like this, letting someone into their own home without any restraint?" Chen Ye couldn't help but laugh awkwardly.

Then, Chen Ye walked in two other directions and found the same murals. It was obvious that when they were put together, they formed a comic strip.

After calculation, it becomes clear that the final outcome of these four murals points to the first mural they saw at the beginning.

However, there is a major drawback to this: it seems that the ending of this animated series is not readily apparent.

Although the first mural they saw upon entering was supposed to be the final ending, there are still doubts surrounding it, because the identity of the first mural among the four murals seen by Chen Ye and Huang remains unconfirmed.

One of the murals depicts a quarter circle at each of the four corners, with a faceless figure in the center. In front of this figure is a book that releases tremendous energy.

Yes, it's this book; it's the only one that can't be connected.

According to Huang, this book is not the Starry Book that Chen Ye contracted with, but rather a completely new entity.

His birth seemed to possess a magical power. Even Chen Ye and Huang, just by looking at the mural, felt a great sense of connection, as if they were deeply immersed in it.

That feeling wasn't temptation, it was hope!

Unfortunately, this mural is just a mural; there are no words on it.

Perhaps this is precisely why archaeologists simply consider it a mural, not worthy of in-depth investigation.

Another possibility is that the archaeologists were unable to understand the feelings that Chen Ye and Huang had, their yearning for hope.

Suddenly, a strong sensation was detected by Huang once again. "It's happening again!" Huang asked involuntarily, "Who is it? Who is summoning me?"

This summoning seemed to be even stronger, causing Huang, who was a remnant spirit, to emit a dazzling light that made Chen Ye almost unable to open his eyes.

"What's wrong?" Chen Ye shielded his eyes from the light. "Is it that the sensations are assaulting your consciousness again?"

Huang did not respond to Chen Ye's question about the summons for a long time, which made Chen Ye worry. However, the intense light made Chen Ye unable to open his eyes and look directly at it!

"What on earth happened?" Chen Ye shouted anxiously, "Huang!"

A short while later, the dazzling light quietly dissipated, and Chen Ye, who had been illuminated by the light, slowly regained his vision.

Chen Ye turned his gaze to Huang, who was hovering quietly in the air, motionless.

"How are you feeling right now?" Chen Ye asked softly. "Huang? Can you hear me?"

As Chen Ye finished speaking, Huang slowly turned around.

When Chen Ye met Huang's gaze, he was shocked to find that Huang's eyes were bloodshot and his expression was unusually haggard.

Chen Ye watched Huang's condition for a long time without asking him a single question, fearing he might disturb Huang in his current state.

Shortly after, Huang spoke up, "Chen Ye, I know where the place that summoned me is. We need to do something to get there."

"Get there?" Chen Ye asked in a low voice. "Could it be that this place isn't the real world?"

Then, Huang nodded slightly and said, "That's right, it's an alternate dimension at the same latitude, but the scene is the same as here."

"How should we get there?" Chen Ye asked.

"He'll come looking for us soon!"
