Naruto: This Uchiha is too innocent.

The letter left behind in Chapter 95

Ding--!

The Kusanagi sword pierced through the flesh and pinned the man to the tree. Bright red blood quickly stained the silver-white blade, and splattered blood left smudges on the Laughing Fox mask.

"You, you demon..." the Sand Ninja muttered, his head lolling to the side, and he died.

Uchiha Sora calmly drew the Kusanagi sword, casually flicking it away, completely wiping off the red blood which landed on the corpse's clothing at his feet. The silver luster was so dazzling that there was no doubt that the Kusanagi sword was a famous sword, untouched by blood.

A moment later, a flame burst into flames.

Back at Konoha's Anbu, Uchiha Sora reported the number of people killed: a total of twenty-one, including five Chunin and sixteen Genin.

This data will become part of his achievements.

Just as he was about to return to Kikyo Mountain to continue killing, someone stopped him.

"You haven't had a proper rest for ten days and ten nights in a row."

Uchiha Sora looked up and saw that it was Eagle, who was wearing an eagle mask and was one of only two surviving members of his team.

"Is something the matter?" he asked calmly.

"Want a drink?"

He remained silent for a long time, then nodded gently.

The two left the Dark Division, traversed the streets and alleys, and arrived at Iron Blood Residence.

Looking at the building before him, Uchiha Sora felt a sense of disorientation; he hadn't been here for over half a year.

The passage of time has not caused this niche tavern to disappear, nor has it brought in much business; it still only has a handful of customers.

At the counter, Akimichi Chimori was still wiping the sake bottle in his hand with a cloth. To this fat man, the war on Kikyo Mountain seemed to be completely unimportant.

Touched by memories, coming here inevitably brought back memories of that man for Uchiha Ku.

"Boss, a bottle of pure brew, please," he called out.

"I'm the same as him." Eagle pointed at Uchiha Sora.

Akimichi Chimori looked up, stared at Uchiha Sora for a moment, and nodded slightly. "Please wait a moment."

Clearly, he remembered Uchiha Sora, and this time, he didn't repeat the usual nagging about minors not being allowed to drink alcohol.

Having run a tavern for many years, he could roughly tell a person's mood just by looking at their eyes, and his judgment was that Uchiha Sora was not in a good mood at the moment.

Every time Uchiha Sora came to the Iron Blood Residence, Uzuki Kazunari would be standing next to him. This time, however, he wasn't there. Instead, he was with someone else. He vaguely guessed what was going on and said nothing more.

Soon, two bottles of pure brew were brought up.

"Would you like to eat?" Akimichi Chimori asked.

"No need, thank you."

Akimichi Chimori nodded, said nothing more, and turned to leave.

Uchiha Sora used a bottle opener to uncork the bottle, filled a cup with a little water, and took a sip.

The bitter taste exploded on his taste buds instantly, and the bitterness went straight to his heart. In both his lives combined, he still couldn't understand what was so good about alcohol.

So bitter, so spicy...

"What do you need me for?" He put down his cup and looked at the eagle.

Of the group, the one he was least familiar with was Eagle. At first, he thought Eagle and Tiger had a good relationship, but after Tiger's death, he no longer held that belief, because the man showed no sign of grief.

His heart was like that cold face, frozen by millennia-old ice, as if nothing could affect his emotions.

Such people are well-suited for the Anbu (Anti-Bureau). They are not swayed by emotions and are highly efficient in their missions. If Danzo's subordinates were all like Taka, Danzo would have replaced Hiruzen Sarutobi as Hokage long ago.

Uchiha Sora hated this kind of person.

The eagle remained as expressionless as ever. He too took a sip of pure brew, a fleeting look of enjoyment crossing his face.

"Strictly speaking, it's nothing, I just noticed you've changed a lot, so I was just looking out for you."

Uchiha Sora's eyes turned cold. He felt that the eagle was there to make fun of him. Was he going to take care of someone like that?

"We were teammates, after all. Does your gaze have to be so cold?" Eagle said casually.

The chill emanating from Uchiha Sora had no effect on him.

"As someone who's been there, let me give you a piece of advice,"

Don't let personal emotions get into your work, including...negative emotions. Many people have paid the price for it.

Uchiha Sora remained silent, unconvinced, and continued speaking.

"You've been killing people on Kikyo Mountain for ten days straight. It's time for a rest. Most of the missions in the Dark Division are shady, and without proper rest, it's easy for your mind to become twisted."

Uchiha Sora sneered, "Someone like you would care about others?"

The eagle shrugged. "What can I do? I already promised someone."

Uchiha Sora felt a jolt in his heart and subconsciously clenched his white fist.

"I was young once too, and I paid a heavy price for my passion." Eagle smiled, a hint of bitterness in his eyes. "You think I'm cold-blooded, but this coldness has relieved me of a lot of burdens and kept my mind at peace."

As he spoke, the bitterness on his face vanished instantly, and his eyes turned icy cold.

"Kong, you are different from me. You are a young master who came to the Dark Division to gain experience, while I will spend my whole life in the Dark Division if nothing unexpected happens. Don't advise others to be kind if you haven't experienced their suffering."

Upon hearing this, Uchiha Sora was completely stunned.

Do not advise others to do good if you have not experienced their suffering.

Yes, he's just a young master from the Uchiha clan who came to the Anbu to gain experience. How can you blame Eagle for being cold-blooded? So what if he's cold-blooded? Now, only the cold-blooded Eagle is left alive.

a long time,

"Sorry," he said, looking up to take a sip of his drink. It seemed... not so bitter anymore.

He knew that it wasn't the wine that had changed, but rather the bitterness in his heart that diluted the bitterness of the wine.

The eagle didn't say anything, just leisurely drank his wine and ate his snacks.

After a long while, he stood up, took an envelope from his pocket, and threw it in front of Uchiha Sora.

"Some poor fellow, with foresight, left you a letter." With that, he paid his bill at the front desk and left Ironblood Residence.

Uchiha Sora stared blankly at the letter on the table. He seemed to understand why the eagle had come to him.

Silently, he picked up the envelope, and with slightly trembling hands, opened it.

The familiar handwriting, strong and vigorous, was the letter left behind by the wind in the month of Maoyue.

That fool seemed to have already guessed that he would be confused and at a loss after his death, and had already asked the eagle to deliver the letter to him.

"Kong, by the time you see this letter, I'll probably be dead."

How pathetic! After much deliberation, he's decided to commit suicide.

I'm sorry, I'm too tired. I've lost so much... My heart has become numb in the process.

The only person I can't let go of in this world is you. I've been there for every mission you've carried out since you joined the Dark Division, so my departure will probably cause you a lot of trouble, haha.

However, Sora, do not grieve for my death, nor be confused. For me, death is a kind of happiness.

……

Oh, right, you should have brought me flowers, right?
