Naruto: This Uchiha is too innocent.

Chapter 46 A Grand and Impressive Reason

The dark space was completely silent. The stalactites that had existed overhead for countless years collapsed during the battle, and the suffocating sound of deep, dripping water disappeared from then on.

Shortly after Tsunade took Uchiha Sora away, four figures arrived at the scene. They were the people from Takigakure who had come to investigate.

The chakra orb dispelled the deep darkness, revealing the mess inside the cave. Deep furrows had been dug into the ground, and the entire space was filled with dust and a strong, lingering smell of burning...

"What, what happened?!" a Taki ninja exclaimed, his face turning slightly pale.

Fengyan's expression changed slightly. Holding the ball of chakra in her hand, she squatted down, picked up some powder, smelled it, and then touched the charred remains on the wall. She had her answer.

With multiple chakra natures intertwined, it must be Kakuzu. So, who is fighting Kakuzu? Konoha's reinforcements?

He fell silent, expanding the ball of chakra in his hand to take in his surroundings.

There was blood, but no body. He knew a little about Kakuzu's personality; he liked to take people's hearts out, but he would always leave the heartless body on the spot after each murder. Since there were no other bodies at the scene, it was highly likely that no one had died.

That's why Kakuzu felt uneasy. He knew Kakuzu's strength; in fact, he was unmatched even in Takigakure.

If the person he's fighting is actually Konoha's reinforcement, then things are going to get really bad.

"Captain, there's blood here!"

Suddenly, a Chunin shouted, and Fengyan rushed over. Sure enough, she saw a trail of blood on the ground, stretching into the darkness.

He reached out, rubbed some blood on his hand, and smelled it. "Very fresh," he said, looking at the line of blood on the ground. "Following the bloodstain should lead us there."

"So, should we give chase?"

Fengyan fell into thought. After a while, she looked at the man and said, "Go back and call a few more people, the stronger ones." Then she looked at the other two and said, "You two come with me to take a look."

"Yes."

Fengyan is currently unsure whether the bloodstains belong to Kakuzu or someone else, but he knows that this person must be seriously injured. Whether it's Kakuzu or Konoha's reinforcements, it's the same; they can kill him.

"Walk……"

……

After Fengyan and the others left, another figure appeared shortly afterward. This person was wearing a tiger mask and was a member of the Dark Division codenamed Tiger.

He glanced at the bloodstains on the ground, and without much thought, followed the trail deeper into the area.

As for the Takigakure ninja who tipped them off, he assassinated him as soon as he was out of sight of Fuuka and the others. In other words, for a short time, only Fuuka, the Jonin, and the two Chunin beside her were in the cave. No one else would approach this place in the short term.

……

Inside the cave

"There are so many caves in this back mountain, and they're all dark and cold," complained a Chunin from Takigakure.

"This was specially dug by our predecessors to avoid being involved in the war, and many talismans were used to stabilize the mountain," Fengyan said calmly. This is also why the battle between Uchiha Sora and Kakuzu did not cause the mountain to collapse.

The Chunin gave an "oh," glanced up at Fuugen, and hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped himself.

Fengyan glanced at him. "Say what's on your mind."

"Yes!" The Chunin shuddered and said weakly, "Captain, are we really going to make enemies of Konoha by openly hunting down Konoha ninja like this?"

Kazem looked at him calmly, her deep gaze sending a chill down the spine of the Chunin. He involuntarily lowered his head, unable to meet her eyes. Just then, he heard his captain's explanation.

"Recently, ninjas from Konoha and Iwagakure have been frequently clashing within the territory of Takigakure, and the clashes are escalating. All indications, from the actions of both Iwagakure and Konoha, suggest that a major war is imminent. Our Takigakure is just a small country; we cannot withstand the turmoil caused by these two great powers."

"Then why are we showing goodwill to Iwagakure instead of Konoha?" the chunin asked, puzzled.

Fengyan sneered, "Because the Land of Fire is vast and rich in resources, every village has its eyes on this big cake and wants to take a bite out of it, and so do we...."

The chunin seemed to understand somewhat, and remained silent, no longer asking questions.

Fengyan and the others continued on their way.

Suddenly, Fengyan heard a sharp whooshing sound as if something was cutting through the air.

"Enemy attack!" he shouted and ran away!

A figure burst out of the darkness, creating a deep crater in the ground, sending debris flying everywhere.

Although Fengyan reminded the others at the crucial moment, one person still didn't react in time and was crushed to death on the spot.

Fengyan had no time to check on the unfortunate fellow; instead, she quickly threw several shuriken at the figure!

The latter slammed his fist into the ground again, creating an earthen wall that blocked all the shuriken in his hand.

The next moment, the earthen wall was blasted open, and the person charged towards Fengyan!

Feng Yan's pupils contracted slightly, and her hands quickly formed hand seals.

"Water Release: Sailor Shuriken!"

In an instant, dozens of shuriken made of water-style techniques rushed towards the figure. The latter snorted coldly and punched into the air, the shockwave of which swallowed up all the shuriken.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Fengyan created some distance and watched the person warily from ten meters away.

Tsunade shook her hand, tilted her neck, making a cracking sound, and said unhappily:

"Almost."

Fengyan picked up the kunai, stared at the woman in front of him, his gaze falling on the gruesome wound on Tsunade's abdomen. He paused slightly, then smiled and said:

"Truly worthy of being one of the legendary Sannin of Konoha, even with a severely injured body, she can unleash such terrifying power. But... I wonder how long Tsunade can hold out? A minute? Or two minutes?"

Tsunade's face darkened. Just as Fuuka had said, her severely injured body was not even half healed. After that combo attack, the wound that had stopped bleeding started to bleed again. She had thrown that attack with the intention of killing her in one move, but she did not expect that this Jonin from Takigakure was not simple.

"I'll say it again, I didn't take that damn Hero's Water."

Fengyan smiled slightly, "No, you took it. The Hero's Water is gone? And during this time, you are the only one who has come here."

Tsunade's face turned grim. The next moment, she rushed in front of Fuuka and threw a punch.

However, Fengyan was prepared. When dealing with a taijutsu ninja like Tsunade, close-range combat would be the most foolish decision. Therefore, when Tsunade's punch came down, it only hit a water clone.

He reappeared about ten meters away from Tsunade.

"If I were at my peak, I would naturally be no match for you, but right now, all I need to do is stall until your injury flares up again, and that will be enough."

Tsunade remained silent for a long time before finally saying, "How dare you? How dare you all?"

"Why wouldn't I dare? You stole the Hero's Water; that reason is enough," Feng Yan said calmly.

"Heh, you need a reason to do things, how grand and righteous."

Tsunade scoffed, "They could have just hunted me down, but instead they gave me a completely fabricated title."
