The Prince of Tennis, Talent Replication

Chapter 10: Multiple Defeats

"coach!"

Ryo Mido stood before Taro with his head bowed, awaiting judgment.

Shintaro observed that the boy's grip on the racket tightened, and simply said, "Go!"

Ryo Mido looked up in shock. Despite being thrashed 6-0, the coach hadn't said anything about dropping him from the starting lineup?

"What's up?"

Shintaro turned his head solemnly.

"Thank you, Coach." Ryo Mido bowed.

......

"Now it's my turn."

Natsume Tsuki finished drinking water on the sidelines, and Ootori Chotaro walked over, his voice soft but his words challenging and leaving no room for refusal.

The Hyotei team clearly viewed their match against Natsume Tsukiya as a battle between the regular players and the captain.

Every captain of Hyotei must sweep aside all members to ascend to the throne; otherwise, he will not be able to convince the people.

"How long are you going to play?" Natsume Tsukiya asked, pointing his racket at him.

"No, it won't be long. If you can catch one of my balls, I'll admit defeat." Feng Changtaro hurriedly waved his hand.

"All right."

Natsume Tsuki also slung his racket over his shoulder and turned to walk back to the court.

Chotaro Ootori glanced at Ryo Mido outside the arena.

Ryo Mido was now much calmer. The previous 6-0 defeat to Kippei Tachibana had made him reflect deeply and cut his hair to show his determination. Today, he hadn't even scored a single point, but his mind was as clear as if all the impurities had been emptied.

In his heart, he had already elevated Natsume Tsukiya to a level above himself.

He had to admit that Natsume Tsukiya's serve and return were very fast, however, Ootori Chotaro's serve was consistently at 180 kilometers per hour, and could reach 190 kilometers per hour when he was in good form.

Within the team, only Atobe can receive serves of this caliber.

Whether Natsume Tsukiya can catch it remains to be seen.

"One ball~~enters the soul!"

As Chotaro chanted his deathly incantation, he tossed the ball into the air. The racket left afterimages as it swung, and the tennis ball roared as if it were on fire, rushing into Natsume Tsukiya's court with overwhelming force.

Bang!

"Bang!"

Two loud bangs followed in quick succession, leaving Chotaro, who was still retracting his movements, completely stunned:

"What?"

His eyes darted around, first catching sight of the ball rolling off his own court, then looking across at the other side, his pupils filled with shock.

Natsume Tsuki, carrying his racket, tilted his head and asked, "Want to play again?"

"No, no."

Chotaro Ootori's best skill is scoring with his serve. As long as the opponent is not someone like Atobe, he can always hold his serve and prevent his opponent from getting a zero.

When an expert makes a move, there's nothing left to lose.

Natsume Tsukiyo had to retaliate in an instant, which made Ootori Chotaro realize that Mido-senpai's defeat was not unjust, and he immediately laughed:

"I already acknowledge Tsukiya's strength."

Beside her, the girl named Niizuma Takami stared at Natsume Tsukiya with starry eyes.

"Natsume's strength has probably surpassed that of Oshitari."

"If a club has a vice president, I think Natsume would be quite suitable."

"This guy is challenging the minister."

"But speaking of which, isn't he quite pleased with himself now? He was able to defeat Taki-senpai, Mido-senpai, Hiyoshi, and now even Oo has been defeated by him."

"I'm afraid there really is a chance to challenge Atobe's position."

"That's impossible..."

The two hundred club members were deeply impressed by today's matches, and some even worried that Natsume would take Atobe Keigo's place.

"Tch, how pathetic!"

Mukahi Gakuto turned his head away disdainfully.

The determined boy picked up his racket, turned to Atobe Keigo, and said:

"Atobe, don't say we don't support you, but..."

Mukahi Gakuto paused, looked at Natsume Tsukiya in the arena, and said:

"I won't be convinced until I've verified it myself."

Atobe Keigo gave a cold laugh.

Gakuto Mukahi walked onto the court.

"Let's have a fight," he said, pointing at Natsume Tsukiya. "Otherwise, I won't be satisfied."

"....."

Before Natsume Tsuki could say anything, Mukahi Gakuto had already jumped up.

Like a spring, he jumped higher and higher in the arena.

"Bang!"

Just as he leaped into the air, a beam of orange light shot out from beneath him.

Mukahi Gakuto was completely dumbfounded.

The entire audience was stunned.

How can we fight like this?

"Are you willing to accept this?" Natsume Tsuki asked, carrying his racket.

Gakuto Mukahi frowned. "Again!"

"Bang bang bang!"

Gakuto Mukahi missed several balls in a row.

I was a little angry.

The service game.

"That guy was just there to laugh at me. Now it's my turn to serve."

Gakuto Mukahi gripped the ball tightly, thinking about how to save face, otherwise it wouldn't look good in class or in the club.

Boom boom boom!

As he was pondering this, he heard a loud bang from the other side, and the ground shook slightly.

Looking up, I was instantly stunned.

"That guy..."

Mukahi Gakuin was furious; that guy had actually copied his special hitting technique.

"Natsume, when did you learn Gakuto's special hitting technique?"

"Seriously? Is he trying to kill Yue Ren?"

"That guy, Mukahi, must be furious."

......

Natsume Tsukiya's elegant and fluid movements left the two hundred members speechless.

The tennis ball in his hand made a gurgling sound as he gripped it.

"call out."

"Bang!"

Enraged, Mukahi Gakuto unleashed a furious attack, a beam of orange light shooting straight towards the opponent's backcourt.

He was always the one looking down on others, but now he's being played in the very area he excels at.

How to avoid anger and retaliate in kind.

He was thinking of retaliating.

Unexpectedly, Natsume Tsuki also did an aerial somersault, spinning his racket.

"Bang!"

There was a loud bang.

It was as if it had hit Mukahi Gakuto's eardrums.

His pupils dilated instantly.

He stood there blankly, without saying a word.

"It was a lunar interception attack from the sun's side?"

"No way, he really can."

"That guy doesn't look like he's joking."

"Unexpectedly, he used Yueren's special shot, which caught Yueren completely off guard."

"That's amazing!"

......

"hateful."

Even though I knew my opponent was incredibly strong, I was still furious. You see, special moves are something unique to each person.

Gakuto Mukahi's status at Hyotei and his confidence in past matches were entirely based on his unique, unparalleled shot.

Now that guy has learned it so easily.

It's impossible to stop feeling uncomfortable.

"Come on, let's continue."

Mukahi Gakuto went even crazier.

Now, he felt like he could finally release the pent-up frustration in his chest.

"Match over, Natsume Tsukiya wins, score 6-0."

With the referee's announcement.

Gakuto Mukahi, who was already physically weak, was completely exhausted by Tsukiya Natsume, sweating profusely and trembling all over. He had no energy left to be angry.

"I never imagined things would turn out this way?"

"Could it be that Natsume is really going to sweep through the entire Hyotei regular team?"

"Sweeping it all away" sounds awful; it should be called a challenge.

"Now that Mido, Mukahi, Hiyoshi, and Ootori have all been defeated, who's next?"

Everyone turned to look at Atobe Keigo and the others.
