The Smiling, Proud Wanderer: From the Moment He Picked Up Qu Feiyan

Chapter 35 The Crystal Body and the Sun King's Curse

The Five Aspects of Body Contemplation.

This is the core of this creation of the Dharma, and also the most difficult step. Shen An must visualize himself walking the path from an ordinary person to a Buddha.

First perspective: Understanding one's true nature.

With the blessing of the "Ice Heart Manual," his mind became as clear as a mirror, reflecting his true self. He "saw" his heart as a precious pearl covered in dust, its essence shining brightly despite the dirt.

The second perspective: Cultivating Bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment).

What is Bodhicitta? The Mahavairocana Sutra says: Bodhicitta is the cause, great compassion is the root, and skillful means are the ultimate goal.

Shen An visualized himself as the Dharmakaya of the universe, "Mahavairocana Tathagata," radiating light everywhere.

He contemplated what he had encountered: Yan Shiqi's greed, Feng Changrong's complacency, Wang Xiaocao's cowardice masking strength, Qu Feiyan's loneliness beneath her laughter, and even the bloody infighting of the martial world, and the birth, aging, sickness, and death of all living beings...

A profound and boundless sense of compassion welled up from the deepest part of his heart.

This is not a woman's pity, but a compassion that understands the common origin and equal nature of all things. Because one sees clearly that all beings suffer, one vows to liberate them; because one sees clearly that all things are one, one understands that liberating others is liberating oneself.

With this great compassion as its root, his "Bodhi mind" began to sprout like a tender bud breaking through the soil.

The third perspective: To cultivate a diamond-like mind.

Once the Bodhicitta arises, both internal and external obstacles will follow. External rumors, enemy schemes, one's own doubts, fear of the unknown path... all kinds of troubles transform into a ferocious demonic army, launching a fierce attack on his mind from all directions.

Shen An's visualization then changed. He visualized his budding Bodhicitta transforming into the indestructible "Vajra" described in the Vajrasekhara Sutra. No matter how many armies and horses you face, I will remain unmoved; no matter how many temptations you encounter, my heart will be as firm as a rock.

At that moment, his heart became more resolute than ever before.

Fourth contemplation: Realizing the Vajra Body.

The mind is like a painter, capable of depicting all sorts of things.

After Shen An's heart underwent the three transformations of enlightenment, aspiration, and steadfastness, it became like a pure, flawless, and indestructible diamond. Under the clear and selfless guidance of the "Ice Heart Manual," every detail of this "diamond heart" was vividly presented in his consciousness.

Fifth contemplation: The Buddha's body is perfect.

That is, the moment when it is brought to reality.

This "Diamond Heart" began to transform his physical body according to the new roadmap deduced by Shen An, which incorporated the first layer of power laws of the "Dragon Elephant Prajna Skill".

"boom!"

An indescribable, scorching hot airflow, as if it had sprung up out of thin air from the Baihui acupoint on the top of his head, surged down like a bursting dam along that brand new, most concise and pure path of cultivation!

This current of energy was completely different from the Songshan internal energy he had previously cultivated. Songshan internal energy emphasized balance and tranquility, and nourishing the meridians; but this newborn energy was violent and intense, full of primal power of destruction and creation! Like molten iron, it washed over Shen An's limbs and bones, every bone, every tendon, every muscle groaning under the relentless forging of this power!

Excruciating pain!

The pain was unimaginable!

It felt as if my whole body had been thrown into an alchemical furnace, about to be burned and reforged from the inside out!

If it weren't for the Ice Heart Manual that firmly guarded his mental clarity, and if it weren't for the Vajra Heart protecting his will, Shen An would probably have already fainted from the pain, or even suffered a qi deviation and died on the spot.

He clenched his teeth, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth, his body trembling violently, his skin sometimes burning red like fire, sometimes turning bluish-purple like iron.

He visualized his body transforming into a Vajra, undergoing a thousand hammer blows. Each sharp pain was a removal of impurities; each tremor was a structural reorganization.

He clenched his teeth, and crimson blood slowly seeped from the corner of his mouth, dripping onto his bronze chest. His body trembled violently, his skin sometimes turning fiery red, as if it were about to burn; at other times, it turned bluish-purple, as if it were about to completely necrotize.

Life and death, destruction and rebirth, are the most primal and intense battles unfolding in his body!

I don't know how much time passed; it felt like an hour, or perhaps a century.

The violent current of air gradually subsided, merging into his limbs and bones, and disappeared without a trace.

Instead, there was an unprecedented sense of fulfillment, brimming with explosive power.

His internal strength didn't improve much; it was probably just that the meridians were opened up a bit more during this violent body tempering, allowing him to use his internal strength in specific moves. He could be considered to have finally achieved a minor success.

Shen An slowly opened his eyes.

His eyes still held that same icy calm and clarity. But beneath that clarity lay an added touch of steadfast and profound composure, like a rock.

On his bronze skin, tiny, jewel-like beads of blood seeped from every pore, turning him into a blood-soaked figure.

This is the force of new life that, after completing the deep reconstruction of bones, meridians, and muscles, forcibly expelled the last remaining impurities and stagnant blood from the body in the most domineering and thorough way.

Blood beads gathered and flowed on his skin, as if draping this newly born "Vajra Lapis Lazuli Body" in the most primitive and magnificent blood-red robe.

Shen An looked down calmly at his horrifying appearance, his face expressionless. He could clearly feel that as this "turbid blood" was expelled, his body became lighter and purer than ever before, filled with indescribable vitality.

He slowly raised his right hand, blood sliding down his arm and dripping onto the ground with a "drip-drip" sound. He looked down at his hands; beneath the bloodstains, his skin had regained its jade-like smoothness, but his palms seemed to have grown larger, with distinct knuckles and hard lines, exuding a restrained yet terrifying power.

He gently clenched his fist and swung it.

"Crack!"

A crisp popping sound suddenly rang out in the air!

It became.

Dragon Elephant Prajna Skill, Level 1.

The power of a dragon and an elephant.

On the fifteenth day, he comprehended the Mahavairocana and Vajra Sutras; on the third day, he combined them with the Dragon Elephant Prajna Technique and broke through the first level.

If the creator of the Dragon Elephant Prajna Skill, the Golden Wheel Dharma King, were standing here, the two of them probably wouldn't even be able to form a chin.

Shen An, however, did not become ecstatic; his state of mind remained calm.

Because he knew that although he created this technique, it was actually just exploiting the loophole in the Ice Heart Technique's protection of the spiritual platform, and using the Great Sun and Vajra Sutras to modify the Dragon Elephant Prajna Technique to a limited extent.

It's too early to call it original; we'll have to wait until later, when it truly contains my own insights.

Moreover, this first level was not something he "practiced" but rather something he naturally "realized" after his "prajna" wisdom increased. This breakthrough in the first level had exhausted all his accumulated wisdom and understanding of the universe.

To think that one could attain the second level in six days by simply increasing the skill level by a factor of two, as was the case with the original Dragon Elephant Prajna Technique, is pure fantasy.

But his gains during these three days of seclusion went far beyond just physical strength.

Bingxin stabilized her mind, Vajra protected her physical body, manifested the Dharma form of Mahavairocana Buddha, and used dragons and elephants for her purpose.

The Heart of Ice is essentially turning the Ice Heart Technique into a passive skill, albeit at the lowest level, used only to maintain mental clarity and prevent mental disturbance.

With the Vajra Body, resistance to poison and blows is slightly enhanced, and the body is also more coordinated.

Shen An didn't really sense anything about the image of the Great Sun Tathagata, but he vaguely felt that it had a somewhat intimidating effect.

The strength of the dragon and elephant is hard to estimate now, but it has increased by about 100 jin.

This technique is extremely comprehensive, but apart from the Dragon Elephant Power, the other points added are a bit too low, so it's better than nothing.

But this can no longer be simply called "Dragon Elephant Prajna Skill"; a name that brings enlightenment.

Let's call it that—

The Mantra of the King of Sunlight with the Body of Lapis Lazuli.
