Hogwarts Summoning Guide

Chapter 72 Weekend Action Team

On Friday afternoon, it was Hagrid's class on protecting magical creatures again. However, a group of his friends had asked White Scale to persuade Hagrid to let White Scale take them away under the guise of a practical class. Hagrid wasn't unhappy about it, after all, Buckbeak had been spared execution thanks to White Scale, and the image of White Scale "devouring" the Dementors was still playing in his head (he had suffered a lot at the hands of Dementors in Azkaban). In this respect, he was already a big fan of White Scale.

Bai Lin looked at his free labor force on the flying lawn—no, I mean the Magical Creatures Research Team, consisting of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Luna, Dean, Lavender, and Eddie who joined later, as well as Catherine who was also eager to join. It was quite a formidable force.

"Did you bring everything I told you to?" Bai Lin said. He had previously told everyone to bring some survival gear.

"I brought it!" Harry said. He meant he brought an invisibility cloak.

"I brought a capture net, a tent, a tablecloth, ham pies... and sunscreen..." Hermione said, rummaging through her pockets. She had gotten a tan in France last year, and she had been bothered by it ever since.

"I brought canned beef, healing potions, anti-petrification potions, resurrection potions... and a longsword!" Neville said seriously.

"I brought some food...and the latest two issues of Quidditch...Why are you looking at me like that? Don't come asking to borrow it when you're bored in the wilderness!" Ron said.

"Alright, alright, no need to say anything... Um, Eddie, what did you bring?" Bai Lin asked Eddie, who looked rather simple and honest. Eddie had an average appearance, some freckles on his face, and messy hair. His bag was the largest.

Eddie opened the package and said, "I brought a shovel, bow and arrows, leather boots, insect repellent, a tent, a barbecue grill, and some other tools."

Bai Lin nodded to him and said, "Get on your broomstick and let's go!"

They rode their brooms and soon arrived at Hogsmeade's clothing store. Phineas was waiting for them humbly and politely at the door. Everyone was curious to see that Whitescale had a house-elf as a butler, but Harry immediately thought of Dobby.

Bai Lin whispered to Harry, "If you hear anything about Dobby, you can tell him I'm willing to hire him as an employee, with room and board included, and a salary of one Galleon a week!"

Harry looked at Bai Lin with some surprise. Bai Lin patted him on the shoulder. Dobby must have been looking for a job everywhere and had no choice but to come to Harry. If he didn't hire him, he would have to work in the kitchen at Hogwarts, where he would only get one Galleon a month.

Finnis led everyone to the clothing store's storage room. He pulled a lever on the floor, revealing a passage leading underground. The passage was thoughtfully lit with lights along the way. Harry looked curiously at the white lights, which contained a swarm of glowing insects.

The group followed Finnis to the underground chamber, where a huge mirror stood in the center.

Finnis tapped rhythmically on the mirror, and after a while, ripples seemed to appear on the surface of the mirror. Suddenly, a person poked their head out of the mirror, startling everyone. It was Zhuo Bi's big head.

"Ah, boss, it's you~ Please come in!" Zhuo Bi said with a smile, then pulled his head back in.

Bai Lin waved his hand and was the first to dive into the mirror. Harry and his friends exchanged glances, gritted their teeth, and followed him in.

The group crawled into the mirror and discovered that it was a wonderful space filled with mirrors of all sizes, reflecting scenery from various angles.

Zhuo Bi was fiddling with something that looked like a large grandfather clock, sweating profusely. Seeing Bai Lin approach, he said, "The distance is just too far. I could only set up this relay station, connecting Hogsmeade on one end and the island on the other. It also needs energy stones for power, but thankfully the consumption isn't too high..."

Bai Lin patted Zhuo Bi on the shoulder and said, "Thanks for your hard work, I'll give you extra pay later!"

Upon hearing that he could earn extra money, Zhuo Bi beamed with joy and hurriedly said, "It's no trouble at all."

The group followed Zhuo Bi to the other end of this strange space, where there was another large mirror. They crawled inside and felt as if they had passed through a wind wall, arriving at a small, dark room. Bai Lin pushed open the door and found that the small room was the warehouse of the zoo's convenience store, and the outside had changed drastically.

At least two hundred wizards were busy at work. Each area was covered with magic circles and magic domes, separated by low stone walls and exquisite fences. The wizards were installing various decorations, signs, streetlights and the like in the park. Many wizards were also using levitation magic to move large cages full of magical animals from all over the world.

Soon, the managers that Kaka had assigned to Bai Lin found him and brought out a thick stack of invoices, documents, drawings, and the like. Bai Lin rolled his eyes. The contract Ross had given him was 100 Galleons a month plus 5% of the zoo's revenue, which was already quite generous. He couldn't very well just sit back and do nothing.

Watching Bai Lin busy himself, Catherine and Finnis took out a lot of items from their packages. Finnis quickly set up Bai Lin's little shop, while Catherine set up tables, chairs, and a large parasol at the entrance. The children helped the two of them. After a busy afternoon, the little shop was taking shape. Bai Lin also finished his official business. After dinner, everyone set up tents on the grass in the zoo.

Although Bai Lin and Catherine's relationship progressed rapidly, they hadn't taken it any further. During this camping trip, Catherine shyly opened a two-person tent.

Hermione looked a little unhappy as Bai Lin went into Catherine's tent, but soon Luna pulled her into their tent. Luna was a Ravenclaw and a year younger than Harry and the others, but she always appeared in the Gryffindor group in a strange way without anyone finding it odd or abrupt. Bai Lin had always suspected that she had a natural ability to "rationalize time and space".

Catherine casually tidied up the bed in the tent. These wizard tents looked small from the outside, but they were actually quite spacious inside. In addition to a double bed, there was a small table and two chairs. Bai Lin remembered that there should have been a sofa as well, but it seemed that Catherine had "forgotten" to bring it out.

Although the tent had a built-in function that made it impossible for outsiders to hear any noise from inside, Bai Lin still gently embraced Catherine from behind. Catherine trembled slightly, turned around, and kissed Bai Lin's lips.

They didn't know how long they kissed, but when Bai Lin came to his senses, the two of them were already in bed. Catherine had taken off her outer clothes, and Bai Lin's hands were full of tenderness.

Catherine blushed slightly and gently closed her eyes. Bai Lin could no longer restrain himself and pressed Catherine down beneath him.
