Hogwarts Summoning Guide

Chapter 410 Farewell to Fel Summoning

"Soul Coordination!" While Bai Lin and Bi Luo were facing off, Catherine had already landed among the zombie puppets below. She sheathed her golden longsword and exquisite holy shield, and with both hands she scattered a ball of light in the air, like a miniature version of the Milky Way, with starlight rapidly spreading outwards.

From a distance, they appear as points of light emitting a dazzling array of colors. However, those with keen eyesight can see that they are actually countless tiny, dust-like miniature versions of Sifugar. One by one, these little angels flapped their transparent wings and flew to the foreheads of the zombie-like puppets, plunging headfirst into them.

After the battle and observation, Catherine has figured out how the Kalin Rift works.

While the minions of the ancient gods are powerful in combat, they prefer to fight using methods such as mind control, soul attacks, mental torture, and dream manipulation. The Kalin Rift is no exception. It is like a computer running a virus, which has obtained the soul information of some young wizards through some special means, just like invading the soul hard drive of these young wizards with the Internet.

The extent of this invasion isn't high. If it were that easy to control these few thousand wizards, controlling Muggles would be even easier, and Gracoia would have already ruled the Earth. According to Catherine's analysis, the Kalin Rift should be able to read some information about these young wizards to create puppet images within the rift space, or even monitor their every move, which is why there's a "live broadcast cloud" above everyone's head.

This connection between the Kalin Rift and the young wizard's true form is certainly not fiber optic internet, but rather soul threads. It's unknown how the Old Gods created these soul threads, linking countless wizard souls. Even if they cannot be immediately used, as the Old Gods' power grows, they will slowly pry open the boundaries of the wizards' souls, subtly implanting the Old Gods' will.

Once these soul threads were discovered, things became much easier. Catherine's Star Angel power included the ability to maintain the order of the souls. In the invisible soul realm, countless tiny Sifugars took out a pair of small scissors and directly severed the souls of these zombie puppets and the young wizards in the mortal world.

Since the virus couldn't be removed immediately, unplugging the computer's network cable at least prevented further harm to the user.

As for completely preventing the ancient gods from silently invading wizards, this also presents a new challenge for Catherine. She needs to build a soul firewall for all humanity, at least for wizards, and eliminate the various terrifying forces that the ancient gods' minions have spread over the years. Who knows, there might be a huge landmine buried somewhere that hasn't surfaced yet!

As Sifugar and the others operated, the terrifying mountains of corpses and seas of blood around them disappeared in no time, like a garbage dump being swept away by a giant broom. Only then did Bai Lin and Catherine realize that the land below was clearly the back of some kind of colossal creature. Bai Lin couldn't help but look into the distance, where a vast expanse of white mist stretched out for several kilometers, obscuring the horizon.

However, this unknown giant creature was not Bai Lin's concern at the moment. He silently gathered his strength and shot out like an arrow. His longsword was like a streak of blue rainbow, aiming straight for Biro's face. This guy no longer had a neck, and his chest was covered with a thick carapace. Apart from that head full of disgusting yellow eyeballs, Bai Lin really couldn't tell where to attack to cause the greatest damage.

"Hehehehe..." Biro remained unfazed, emitting a strange sound as its body shape changed once again. If its previous form was a patchwork of more than ten bizarre marine creatures such as octopuses, crabs, and sandworms, the current transformation was even more indescribable. A large amount of soft tissue gushed out from the gaps in its shell, and its once somewhat octopus-shaped head resembled a balloon filled with disgusting gelatinous substance. Its entire body was like cancerous cells, proliferating frantically and quickly forming a small mountain.

Bai Lin's blade slashed fiercely at the spot where Bi Luo's head had originally been, now replaced by these gelatinous cell proliferations. The blade carved a deep groove into the proliferations, but it was like striking flowing river water. It did not cause any damage to Bi Luo; instead, it felt like "trying to cut water with a knife only makes it flow more."

"It's absorbing the energy of your attack!" Catherine called out from behind Bai Lin.

Bai Lin was startled and quickly retreated dozens of meters. Seeing that Bi Luo was still multiplying wildly, he thought of a basic physical theory: the law of conservation of energy.

Catherine has severed the soul threads between the Karin Rift and the wizards, and if Biro wants to continue to multiply like this and eventually fill the entire space, he will need enormous energy. But what is his energy source?

Looking at Biro's disgusting "mountain of flesh" appearance, Bai Lin knew that simple physical and magical attacks no longer had any real harm to him. On the contrary, the energy emitted would be absorbed by him, producing more proliferating cells. This principle was very similar to that of cancer cells.

Biro had given up on any further verbal communication with Bai Lin, adopting an attitude of complete domination. How much energy could a few humans possibly generate? He could easily devour whatever Bai Lin could produce, and eventually, even Bai Lin itself would be absorbed into his body. At that point, all of Bai Lin's secrets and abilities would be at his disposal. Since entering the Kalin Rift, Biro had felt his strength increase by at least tenfold, as had his energy tolerance. He didn't even consider a few humans a threat.

"Heh...you want my energy, huh..." Bai Lin curled his lip, and suddenly had a bold idea.

"Little Kai, help me! Give me any skills that can boost my energy. I want to see if this monster can swallow this energy that even I can't fully control!" Bai Lin shouted to Catherine.

Catherine was slightly startled. She spread her wings and flew behind Bai Lin, having already guessed his thoughts. Indeed, Bai Lin had grasped the basics of some things, but that power was far too evil and dangerous. He had never dared to absorb too much of it, lest it backfire and harm those around him. But now that they were in the Kalin Rift, and Catherine had sufficient self-protection and evasion abilities, there was no need to worry about the uncontrolled power harming innocent people.

"Divine Infusion!" Catherine stretched out her hand, and the golden sword had transformed into an exquisite scepter. With her incantation, a beam of white light shot out from the scepter and struck Bai Lin in the back.

This is not a destructive force, but a pure energy of will, and it does not repel the chaotic power within Bai Lin's body.

Bai Lin's spirits lifted, feeling a surge of power coursing through his body. He leaped into the air, his hands outstretched, and roared, "Fel Energy Summoning!"
