Chapter 408 Kalin Rift

"I need to give you a name for this look." Bai Lin landed next to Catherine and, looking at Biro's appearance, couldn't help but tease, "How about we call you Seafood Stall?"

Catherine, who had been standing to the side with a serious expression, couldn't help but laugh. She glared at Bai Lin, blaming him for being so frivolous.

Biro remained unmoved, neither pleased nor angry; his current appearance made it impossible to discern any emotion, and even Bai Lin was somewhat unsure where his mouth was. Without a word, he slammed his two large pincers hard onto the ground.

With a loud "Boom!", Bai Lin felt the floor beneath his feet shake violently. A black substance rapidly spread from the spot where Bi Luo struck, instantly covering the entire island.

Bai Lin felt a pulling force coming from his feet, as if an invisible force was trying to pull him into another space.

As a minion of the ancient gods, Biro possesses the ability to create various alternate dimensions, such as pulling his opponent into a fabricated dream. However, he discovered that this trick was ineffective against Catherine, so he devised another method.

"Oh no, this is the Kalin Rift!" Catherine's expression changed slightly; both she and Bai Lin's feet were already covered in that black substance.

Bai Lin had no idea what this "Kalin Rift" was, but he saw that the frozen people around him, including DeSantis who looked very disheveled and sleazy, and the two sisters who were fighting fiercely on the other side, seemed to have no interest in the black matter. It seemed that it was a powerful move released against him and Catherine.

"Perfect! Fighting here will only endanger ordinary people. Let's go inside and fight!" Bai Lin said through gritted teeth.

Their bodies sank involuntarily into the ground, as if the ground had turned into a swamp or a body of water, and if they did not resist, they would be submerged in a few seconds.

Catherine was slightly taken aback, then nodded vigorously at Bai Lin. She was kind-hearted and naturally did not want to see innocent people harmed in the battle with Biro. Although she knew that it would be extremely dangerous to enter, she still agreed without hesitation.

"The Kalin Rift is a strange space refined by the blood of the ancient gods. These monsters will be ten times stronger inside. You must be prepared!" Catherine said quickly.

Bai Lin grinned at her: "I'm just worried he's too weak and won't take a beating!"

Catherine was furious. The two of them emitted a faint light, using their willpower to block the ancient god's power and the whispers in their ears from invading them. However, they no longer resisted the pull of the ground and soon felt as if they had fallen into a deep pool of water, and everything went black.

In the darkness, Bai Lin felt as if his feet had stepped on something solid. Although it was soft, he was able to stand still. He focused his eyes on the power of chaos, and immediately felt the surroundings light up slightly.

It would have been better if he hadn't looked, because what he saw still sent chills down his spine. He and Catherine had clearly landed on a vast plain piled with human corpses. When he looked down, his heart clenched even more. Beneath his feet were the corpses of Hogwarts students. Familiar faces had all withered away. They died tragically, their limbs scattered, their faces filled with terror, as if they had endured hellish torture before their deaths.

If an ordinary person were to witness this scene, they would undoubtedly suffer a tremendous psychological impact. And once their mind is disturbed, the spiritual power of the ancient god can easily invade their thoughts.

Bai Lin and Catherine's will was already as firm as iron. Of course, they knew that these were all tricks created by the power of the ancient gods to break through people's defenses. Bai Lin grinned and sneered, "They've been doing the same old tricks over and over again. There's nothing new about them. I think Asatel is more creative. At least he came up with a decent script."

Catherine gave him a wry smile, but then again, to use such a scene to deal with Bai Lin, who was almost a demigod, and herself was really underestimating them.

At that moment, a faint light appeared in mid-air, and Biro's voice came from the air, only it was deeper, as if a thick layer of flesh was pressing on his lips.

"Do you think this is an illusion? Foolish creature... The Lord has seen countless futures... countless futures in which humanity will no longer be able to reproduce and dominate the earth..." Biro said slowly in a pained tone.

Just as Bai Lin was about to retort and challenge Bi Luo to a real fight, countless halos of light suddenly appeared on the plain made up of corpses.

Bai Lin looked closely and saw that they were clearly small windows. Looking through the windows, he could see how the corpses on the ground were living in the human world. Some students were still in class, some were playing in the garden, and some were playing Quidditch on broomsticks. Bai Lin looked around and quickly saw the Weasley brothers, as well as Eddie, Luna, and other familiar faces. Although he didn't see Harry at first glance, he should be among them.

In some smaller windows further away, he also saw many children wearing different school uniforms, who were probably students from Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, or Ilfamoni.

Just then, a strange murmur drifted through the air, and with this sound, the corpse on the ground began to move.

"Ah... my little darlings... time to get up... get up..." The murmur turned into a very strange sentence.

Bai Lin and Catherine felt the corpses beneath their feet begin to move, so they quickly flew into the air.

Some of the corpses only had half a face left, some had mutilated bodies, and some had their eyeballs hanging out of their sockets. They were extremely bloody and cruel, but they really seemed to have woken up and climbed up from the other corpses. The corpses on the lower level were stepped on by others and could not get up for a while, but their limbs were wriggling like worms.

Bai Lin frowned as he watched as one by one the children from the magic school stood up, pulled out their wands from their robes, and pointed them at him in the air.

"You think you can defeat me with these puppets?" Bai Lin scoffed.

"Expelliarmus! Weapon... Weapon..." Hundreds of students shouted the incantation at the same time, and countless streams of red magic shot out from their wands, converging towards the white scales in the air.

"Damn it!" Bai Lin couldn't help but curse.

With his current defensive capabilities, plus the Will Barrier and Water Shield that he can activate at any time, a disarming spell from an ordinary wizard is basically harmless to him. It cannot even break through the outermost layer of protection, let alone penetrate the chaotic armor composed of disordered elemental energy on his body. However, quantitative change will lead to qualitative change. Hundreds of disarming spells were shot at him at the same time. No matter how confident he was, he dared not rashly confront them head-on.

"Heaven's Protection!" Catherine stepped in front of Bai Lin, and the golden shield in her left hand instantly opened into a golden light screen, like a large umbrella blocking the red torrents shooting in from all directions. However, this magical power that had undergone a qualitative change crashed in like a train, and even though her defensive abilities were super strong, she was still knocked away.
