Hogwarts Summoning Guide

Chapter 400 old money

The house-elf Phineas, sitting in the passenger seat, turned around enthusiastically to call for his master, only to see Bai Lin kissing Lulu, and felt slightly embarrassed.

Lulu reached out and touched the car door without hesitation, and a partition immediately separated the back and front seats of the car.

The back seat is now a private world for Bai Lin and Lulu.

After some affectionate moments, the two finally got down to business.

Bai Lin put his arm around Lulu's slender waist and asked, "Are you here to attend some awards ceremony?"

Lulu lay relaxed in Bai Lin's arms and said, "A good friend's coming-of-age ceremony."

"Such a grand coming-of-age ceremony? You actually managed to get us to come?" Bai Lin asked, somewhat surprised.

Lulu laughed and said, "Don't underestimate him. He's the real king of New York."

"Gotham City King? Is this some kind of Batman script?" Bai Lin couldn't help but complain.

"What hero?" Lulu looked confused. Bai Lin then remembered that this world was actually in the Harry Potter novels and didn't have many of the literary works he had seen in his "previous life".

"Ha, it's nothing. I roughly know what kind of person he is. Did he lose both his parents at a young age, then disappear for a few years, and finally return as a king to inherit his father's business empire?" Bai Lin asked.

"Cousin, you've only been here a few days, and you've already found out so much about New York? The Witz family is indeed very influential, but Elizabeth is very easy to get along with," Lulu said with a smile, not denying Bai Lin's guess.

"Alright, now I know who that girl I met a couple of days ago was..." Bai Lin exclaimed in amazement.

"No way, cousin, you've already met her? Oh no, oh no, I forgot you're a womanizer!" Lulu exclaimed, pretending to be angry.

However, she was met with a deep kiss in return.

After Lulu arrived, Dali's standard of living improved significantly. He no longer had to return to the small apartment arranged by Lao Pan, but instead moved into a luxurious five-star hotel. That evening, they changed into formal attire and headed to the Witz Manor in the suburbs for a banquet.

Bai Lin had seen the grandeur of the Ross family, but compared to the Witz family, it was nothing.

It's not the kind of nouveau riche air that's adorned with gold and silver, but rather a noble air that exudes a strong sense of history.

It's funny, America is only two hundred years old, but the old money vibe is absolutely unmistakable. The Witz family manor is like a magnificent castle; if this manor were in Germany, it would look like a five or six hundred-year-old antique.

"Strictly speaking, this thing should be called an antique-style building, right?" Bai Lin said jokingly, pointing to the Witz family's manor from his luxurious extended limousine.

Lulu smiled slightly and said, "The Witz family has a great talent for business, and they've caught the best of times. You should be a little more polite to Elizabeth when you see her; my activities in North America have always relied on her support! If you get along well, she can also help you complete your mission."

Bai Lin chuckled and said, "Relax, relax, I'm a super gentleman in front of beautiful women... Waaah..."

Lulu then offered her lips, and Bai Lin naturally tasted them first as a sign of respect.

The vintage car slowly came to a stop in the manor's foyer, and immediately a smartly dressed, handsome waiter stepped forward to open the door and greet the guests.

Bai Lin gently and gracefully led Lulu through the manor gates, past an exquisite indoor garden, where the banquet venue came into view.

Everyone who enters the castle is struck by its grandeur. Dazzling lights illuminate the entire hall from the high walls. Rows of wave-shaped chandeliers hang from the ceiling, each adorned with sparkling diamonds and other jewels, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

The floor was made of dark hardwood, covered with soft Persian carpets; every detail exuded impeccable luxury and impeccable taste. Guests were dressed in the finest evening gowns and hats, their manners impeccable. Everyone wore exquisite formal wear, adorned with magnificent jewelry.

The men wore suits, while the women wore elegant gowns designed by renowned designers such as Heidi Jolie, looking graceful and charming.

Every single guest was a prominent figure. They were business leaders, financial tycoons, and so on. In this castle, they were the wealthiest individuals, there to flaunt their riches and to cultivate relationships and secure more business opportunities.

The hostess sat on a high platform, a glass of aged red wine in her hand, observing her guests below. Her guests, also holding wine glasses, smiled and drank amidst cheerful conversation and soft music.

The table was laden with a variety of delicacies, from roasted pigeon to lobster, from cranberry jam to French raisin cakes, each dish prepared by the world's most renowned chefs, making everyone's mouths water and their tongues tingle. Music masters played exquisite music on one side, while ballet dancers gracefully swayed on the other, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

If the clubhouse of Hysiris is a debauched paradise that vividly displays human desires and indulgence, then this place is a glamorous stage where even wild beasts are impeccably dressed and refined, showcasing their hypocrisy and acting skills.

Bai Lin spotted the main character of the entire event at a glance: a beautiful young woman on the platform was leaning back on a soft velvet sofa, looking utterly indifferent to the celebrities in attendance.

Although wizards have the ability to change their appearance, Bai Lin recognized without difficulty that the brown-haired rich young lady was the Shadow Demon he had fought a few days ago.

The other party clearly spotted them at a glance.

Lulu's appearance caused a small stir among the guests, which shows that she is quite famous. However, many celebrities looked surprised to see an unfamiliar Asian man accompanying her, and some were even a little resentful.

Lulu politely nodded to the guests in return, then raised her head to wave to the host on the platform and walked straight over.

She was a beautiful young woman with a gothic style, wearing a black dress with jet-black lace trim on the hem. Exquisite silver jewelry shimmered against her skin, and her long black hair cascaded over her shoulders, with a few strands falling across her forehead.

Her eyes were deep and mysterious, the black eyeliner making them appear even more profound. Her high nose and red lips accentuated her perfect features, making her look even more alluring. A faint fragrance emanated from her, carrying a hint of freshness, further highlighting her unique charm.

She seemed to come from darkness, yet she radiated a light that was irresistible.

When the girl saw Bai Lin smiling, she couldn't help but clench her fists, but in the end she still stood up and gave Lulu a light hug. Lulu, on the other hand, sat down next to her without any hesitation, while letting Bai Lin sit opposite her.

"Let me introduce you. This is my cousin, Karin White. You can call him Carey, just like I do. Carey, and this is Elizabeth. I'm sure you've already met her," Lulu said with a grin.
