Chapter 325 Umi Zatou and Arakawa

After settling the Genji family members, young and old, the soldiers cleared some thatched huts from the ruins that could still provide shelter from the wind and rain. The people were eerily silent, with only occasional sobs from old people or women.

Minamoto no Hiromasa and Minamoto no Yorimitsu had differing opinions on the current situation, discussing it back and forth. Bai Lin sneered inwardly, thinking, "By the time you return to Kyoto, it will probably be hell on earth." But he could only stay with the two of them, enduring hunger, until nightfall.

Not far away, the waves crashed against the rocks, making a continuous, undulating sound. But gradually, Bai Lin actually heard a faint sound of a guqin (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) in the waves.

"They're here!" Watanabe no Tsuna, who had been squatting by the door with his eyes closed, opened them. He shrugged, and Onikiri was already in his hand, ready to unleash his divine power at any moment.

Bai Lin and the others followed closely behind, running out of the small house and heading towards the sea. Standing on a large reef, Bai Lin saw that in the distance, under the moonlight, the surface of the sea resembled a giant humpback whale with its head exposed. Even more amazingly, an old man dressed as a scholar was sitting on his head, with an ancient zither on his lap, playing it with a contented expression.

A notification appeared on Bai Lin's system interface: Neutral Yokai Umizu (Genbu Bloodline) Detected, LV: 9. Umizu has silently guarded the northwestern seas for many years, all for an unfulfilled vow.

Bai Lin was overjoyed. Damn, this was fate! He hadn't expected to run into him so soon. Minamoto no Hiromasa seemed to have been prepared, and he leaped into the air.

From afar, Bai Lin saw Minamoto no Hiromasa gently land in front of the sea whale and bow to him politely. Not long after, the huge humpback whale swam towards the shore. When it was still about a hundred meters from the shore, Minamoto no Hiromasa and the sea whale leaped into the air, making two graceful arcs, and landed in front of Bai Lin and Minamoto no Yorimitsu.

Upon seeing the old man, Bai Lin noticed his white hair, youthful face, deep-set eyes, and vigorous spirit—a truly venerable and otherworldly figure. Bai Lin bowed slightly and said, "Greetings, venerable immortal!"

Haizuo smiled at him and said, "Young man, it seems you recognize this old man!"

Bai Lin said, "I have long heard of the Xuanwu Sacred Lineage, and I am fortunate to see it in person today!"

Minamoto no Yorimitsu and Minamoto no Hiromasa were both somewhat surprised. They hadn't told Hakurin about the Sea Zato, but Hakurin had seen through them at a glance.

Haiza laughed heartily, "This old geezer has been out of touch with the world for too long... If you have any respect for elders, just call me 'musician' instead..."

Minamoto no Yorimitsu also bowed politely to the sea-dwelling monk, addressing him as the "Konji Sencho" (Master of the Music).

As Minamoto no Hiromasa and Ōtengu recounted the various strange events that had recently occurred, Umi-zatou's previously serene and carefree expression changed. He stroked his white beard, paced back and forth on the large reef, and after considering for a long time, finally said, "I also hope you're wrong... Tamamo-no-Mae does indeed wish to open the Gates of the Underworld and unleash the power of the Great God Iminagi!"

Before they could ask any questions, the sea monster continued, "Not only does she want to unleash the power of the Great God, but she also wants to possess it for herself, so that she can attain godhood... If that's the case, she not only needs the bloodlines of the Twenty-Eight Gods as a catalyst, but also the blood of the Four Saints as a vessel to carry the Emperor's Elixir, so that she has enough demonic power to open the Gates of the Underworld!"

As Hai Zatou spoke eloquently, while Bai Lin and the others exchanged bewildered glances, another voice suddenly came from the distant mountains and forests: "You guessed right, no wonder you're the eldest of the Four Saints, Hai Zatou!"

The four generals of Minamoto no Yorimitsu were greatly alarmed, gripping their weapons tightly. They formed a semi-circle beneath the rocks, shielding Yorimitsu and his men behind them. Watanabe no Tsuna, gazing towards the distant mountains, exclaimed, "Where did these monsters come from, playing tricks!"

Kaiza-tou, with a solemn expression, said, "Fellow Daoist Arakawa, since you've come, why not show yourself? Why eavesdrop on our conversation from afar?"

A stream of blue-green water, seemingly unaffected by gravity, flowed from the distant sky like a small creek. It gradually gathered and grew taller not far in front of the group, eventually transforming into a man sitting on a coral throne. He wore a magnificent blue silk robe, was at least two meters tall, and wore a blue coral crown. He didn't resemble an ordinary monster, but rather the Dragon King of the East Sea.

Bai Lin's system notification: Enemy monster Arakawa no Nushi has been detected, LV: 9. Originally a demon dragon from the East Sea, he was banished to the sea after his bloodline was extracted by the dragon clan for disobeying ancestral teachings, and became a powerful demon.

Arakawa no Naru didn't even glance at the four generals of Raikou who were standing ready for battle, and said to Kaiza-no-kami, "I've heard that you've lived here for many years, but since the village was destroyed, you've come several times a month to play the zither and mourn the dead. Arakawa truly admires your compassionate heart."

Urabe Suetake shouted sternly, "What kind of monster are you? Are you also Tamamo-no-Mae's lackey?"

The Lord of Arakawa laughed heartily, "Why should I, Arakawa, be subservient to others? The world is vast, where can't I go? However, I am quite interested in Tamamo-no-Mae's plan. If this human world is ruled by demons, it is not against the will of Heaven, hahahaha..."

Haiza, his face stern, asked, "Then what is the purpose of Fellow Daoist Arakawa's visit?"

The Lord of Arakawa smiled and said, "As you just mentioned, the blood of the Four Saints is needed to serve as the vessel for the Emperor's Elixir, which naturally includes your Xuanwu bloodline. I hope you won't take offense. I will soon send Ichimokuren, Phoenix Fire, and Nekomata to keep you company!"

"Insolence!" Watanabe Tsuna roared. He and Urabe Sue Takeshi had summoned divine power at the same time, and with a sword and a spear, they charged towards Arakawa no Nushi from the left and right, their momentum quite strong.

"Fancy!" Arakawa no Nushi stretched out his right hand, spread his five fingers, and instantly a wall of water formed in the air. Watanabe no Tsuna had just unleashed a sword aura, but it shot into the water wall and quickly lost all its power, disappearing without a trace.

"What a brilliant move, 'drawing a sword to cut water only makes it flow more'..." Bai Lin murmured. The Lord of the Arakawa's move was similar to the Mermaid's Blessing of the Water Shield, completely suppressing the "sword energy" attack pattern.

Lord Arakawa shouted, "Swimming Fish!" Instantly, dozens of large fish formed from water appeared on the large water wall in front of him, treating the air as seawater and swimming rapidly toward the generals.

Although Watanabe no Tsuna and his companions had lost their edge on Mount Oe and suffered a setback in Kyoto, they were eager to vent their resentment on an opponent. They roared and used their weapons to cut down all the fish that were swimming in Arakawa.

But Arakawa no Nushi grinned. Although he only focused on Umizatou's actions and seemed to look down on everyone else, how could he possibly underestimate the Four Heavenly Kings Raikou, who were renowned in Japan?

The fish that the generals had chopped up did not disappear at all; instead, they turned into even smaller fish, each one opening its mouth full of fangs and biting at them.

With a loud shout, Urabe Takeru rushed to the densest part of the fish school. His earthy yellow body shone brightly, clearly indicating that he had pushed Susanoo's power to its limit. He swung his spear like the wind, creating a whirlwind that blew the fish school into dust.
