"This isn't human power! You're a demon?!" Shuten-dōji spat out a few words through gritted teeth as the white scales rained down on him.

"What do you care what kind of power I use? All you need to know is that I can kill you anytime!" As Bai Lin spoke, a purple light emanated from his eyes. Shuten-dōji was pierced by the purple light and screamed as he fell backward. Bai Lin seized the opportunity and delivered a heavy punch to Shuten-dōji's abdomen.

Even in the battle a thousand years ago when he was killed by Minamoto no Yorimitsu, Shuten-dōji had never suffered such severe injuries. His body was almost split in two by this punch, and his flesh was shattered into fragments by the force of the punch and the chaotic power.

Just as Shuten-dōji was about to land, his body turned into a ball of black water and was sucked into the black gourd in mid-air with a whoosh. The black gourd was about to fly away, but it was already covered by a large net burning with purple flames.

"If I let you get away, how am I supposed to survive in the underworld?" Bai Lin spat.

He turned his head and saw that the battle between Ibaraki-dōji and Yan Nishuang had moved from indoors to outdoors. He couldn't help but smile bitterly to himself. This was going to be a free show of unusual fireworks for all the people of Tokyo. The staff of Atsuta Shrine would probably have to run themselves ragged to erase so many memories.

In mid-air outdoors, Ibaraki-dōji transformed into thick black smoke, intertwining with another golden light, like two giant dragons, one black and one gold, locked in battle in the air. In the previous exchange, although Yan Nishuang did not behead Ibaraki-dōji with a single sword strike, she did sever Ibaraki-dōji's legs. Unable to maintain his human form, Ibaraki-dōji transformed into a smoke demon to fight against Yan Nishuang.

Yan Nishuang's expression was solemn, which made her look even more heroic. In the years since she debuted, most of the opponents she had encountered were small fry who were easily subdued. Only when she encountered the great demon Fujiwara Ichiura a few times was she suppressed by him. She had never met a worthy opponent. This time she was fighting all out and displayed her swordsmanship to the fullest, which made her feel a sense of catharsis.

While she was having a great time, Ibaraki-dōji was suffering terribly. Every time they clashed, the golden light of the Demon-Slaying Sword would annihilate a portion of his demonic power, and his demonic hand was completely helpless against Yan Nishuang, who was enveloped in sword light.

The aerial battle between a human and a demon in Ginza, Tokyo's most bustling district, was like an open-air visual feast. Many young men and women on the streets watched the light and shadow in the sky with surprise (or rather, delight), expressing their heartfelt amazement.

Seeing Yan Nishuang's effortless handling of the situation, Bai Lin genuinely admired her strength. He wondered what kind of incredible luck he had in his past life to obtain the Summoning Compendium, which allowed him to make rapid progress and achieve his current strength. However, Yan Nishuang's combat power was entirely due to her own talent, comprehension, and hard work. Ibaraki-doji, on the other hand, was a thousand-year-old demon, and in the entire world, there were probably no more than 50 people who could overpower him.

Bai Lin was still quite worried about You Qian. Although Hoshiguma-doji was not as famous as Ibaraki-doji, he was equally skilled and possessed all sorts of strange monsters and magical treasures. If one was not careful, one might fall into his trap.

Bai Lin leaped into the hole that Hoshiguma Doji had smashed in the floorboards, descending two floors to find a completely different scene below: steaming and brightly lit, it was clearly a bathhouse.

Whether it was the burly Japanese men who came to bathe or the beautiful Japanese girls who accompanied them, they were all hiding in fear in the corners around the bathhouse. Their white flesh was so bright it was blinding to Bai Lin's eyes. Meanwhile, Hoshiguma Doji had transformed into a three-meter-tall, pitch-black demon and was chasing after Edogawa Hiroyuki.

Bai Lin turned his head and saw that You Qian was clutching her shoulder, slumped in the corner, panting heavily. She had obviously been hit by Hoshiguma Doji and was injured.

Hiroyuki Edogawa was quite agile. Although his magic power was not as good as Yuuka's, he was as slippery as an eel. No matter what Hoshiguma Doji did, whether it was a pounce, a spiked club, or a large iron pot, he was just a little bit short of dodging it.

Seeing Bai Lin come down, You Qian visibly breathed a sigh of relief and exclaimed, "I'm alright! Go help Hao Xing!"

Bai Lin nodded and leaped up, crashing into Hoshiguma Doji like a meteor, slamming his massive body into the bathtub and splashing hot water everywhere.

Hiroyuki Edogawa felt like he had escaped death. He made several big leaps to get away from the battle. When he jumped down, he put a little magic on his shoes, so that no matter how wet and slippery the ground was, he was as steady as a mountain.

"Brother Bai, he's acting strangely. No matter how much we hit him, he's fine!" Edogawa Hiroyuki exclaimed.

Bai Lin unleashed a series of punches at Hoshiguma Doji. Logically, with that kind of force, even a dinosaur should have been knocked unconscious. However, Hoshiguma Doji acted as if he hadn't been hit at all, baring his teeth and lunging at Bai Lin in retaliation.

"So many monsters, which one isn't strange?" Bai Lin laughed as he dodged Hoshiguma Doji's spiked club.

It's no wonder Bai Lin was dismissive. Hoshiguma Doji's physical attacks were rather weak. Even his boss, Shuten Doji, was no match for him, so why should he fear this brute force monster?

Before Bai Lin could even feel smug, a tremendous suction force came from behind him, almost causing the disordered elemental energy on his body to go out of control. This startled him, and he quickly used Phantom Shift to teleport to the other end of the bathhouse. When he looked back, he saw that it was the big iron pot.
