The Straw Hat Pirates' Scientist

Chapter 10: The Blueprints for 1500 Billion Berries!

From a distance, the island looks very lively, with houses built all around the mountain.

At the very top of the island is a building shaped like a giant chimney.

"We've finally arrived at the town where the naval base is located!" Luffy immediately disembarked, his face beaming with excitement.

"Luffy, you go find that pirate hunter Zoro first. I need to go to the shops in town to buy some materials," Ron said immediately.

Scientific research requires a lot of resources.

The materials on Alvida's pirate ship, as well as those collected from the merchant ships they raided last time, have long been exhausted.

Now that we've arrived in the town near the naval base, it's natural to replenish a batch of experimental supplies.

"Don't worry, leave it to me!" Luffy immediately rolled up his sleeves and said with great enthusiasm.

"You are allowed to move around in the town, but you are not allowed to burn, kill, or loot, and you are absolutely not allowed to cause any disturbance to the navy. Otherwise, you can forget about getting the antidote this month, and you can expect to die a horrible death."

Ron nodded, then looked at the pirates disembarking from the pirate ship behind him and said.

These were all Alvida's former subordinates, members of a vicious and ruthless pirate crew.

If left unchecked, it will surely cause unrest in this town.

"Lord Ron, we understand."

"Don't worry, we would never dare to do that."

"I don't want to die yet."

Upon hearing Ron's words, the pirates immediately began to express their stance to him.

Especially these past few days, while they were on the ship, they have become very clear about it.

The man in front of them was an extremely brilliant scientist, far more capable than these violent pirates.

The other party said that without an antidote, their intestines would rupture and their stomachs would rot, meaning they would all die a horrible death.

After all, how many pirate scientists are truly kind-hearted?

Therefore, they dared not disobey Ron's orders.

Even ants try to survive, let alone pirates, who are inherently bullies who prey on the weak and fear the strong.

They were more afraid of death than anyone else.

Not everyone has the same conviction as Luffy, who is willing to die for his dream.

Pirates like the Whitebeard Pirates, who dared to fight the Marines head-on in the Marineford War, were still a minority.

Even the members of the White Band could not all sacrifice themselves in Marineford in the face of real death.

In the end, at the precipice where Whitebeard had carved out a path for survival, he left without hesitation.

Those who can truly face death without fear, even when facing a dead end, don't think about the fear of death, but rather about killing a couple more enemies...

Ron had only seen this in the martyrs of ancient China.

That requires an incredibly strong and supreme belief to achieve; it's something ordinary people simply cannot imagine.

Being afraid of death and bullying the weak while fearing the strong is what most pirates are like.

"Coby, you should leave now."

"Since this is a naval base, there are naturally naval personnel stationed here."

If you want to join the Navy, go sign up yourself. We'll pretend we never saw you.

And they certainly wouldn't reveal that you were a handyman in Alvida's pirate crew.

Ron then looked to the side, at Koby, who looked completely dazed, and slowly began to speak.

Is this true?

Koby was stunned, clearly not expecting Ron to do this.

He thought he would be like other pirates, continuing to work as a handyman on this ship.

"It's fake, just kidding. You can stay on the ship and continue being a handyman for the rest of your life," Ron said.

"ah......."

Koby was startled, and tears welled up in his eyes instantly.

But upon seeing Ron's ambiguous smile, he immediately understood, bowed deeply to Ron and Luffy, and then quickly ran into the town.

"What an interesting guy!" Luffy said with a smile as he watched Coby running away.

"Interesting. Why don't you invite him to join the pirate crew?" Ron joked.

"Coby isn't suited to be a pirate!" Luffy said seriously.

But after saying that, he grinned and continued, "But I have a feeling that we'll meet again someday."

"Alright, let's go our separate ways." Ron smiled and parted ways with Luffy.

Ron now possesses five complete blueprints: the Senzu Bean, the Universal Capsule, the Plug-in White Eye, the Smart Pistol MK6 with Auto-Aiming Tracking Ammo, and the E-Class Fitness Supplement.

Currently, more than half of the materials for making Senzu Beans are still missing. The plug-in White Eye and the MK6 Smart Pistol auto-tracking bullet are only about one-third complete.

The E-grade health and fitness supplement is almost two-thirds complete, but the remaining materials are quite precious and not easily found.

However, the materials used to make the universal capsules are almost complete, and the completion rate has reached 95%.

He has even made several prototypes of the simplest universal capsule storage boxes to store materials.

All that's needed are a few more special materials to complete the task.

So Ron hopes to be able to buy it in this town.

"I've made so many handicrafts before, but this is my first time creating a tech product like this. I'm really looking forward to it!"

Ron was also somewhat agitated.

This feels just like the feeling when I first took the college entrance exam and walked into the exam hall.

After walking for about 10 minutes, Ron arrived at the edge of town from the port.

Instead of asking around, he decided to explore the town himself to make sure he didn't miss anything.

After all, some things may seem to have nothing to do with materials, but they are actually part of the materials.

For example, some Grade E health supplements contain vegetables, fruits, and things similar to traditional Chinese medicine.

These things may seem unrelated to technology products, but they are actually one of the ingredients in E-grade health supplements.

The same goes for Senzu Beans, which contain some bizarre materials, including heavy metals and special soil.

So Ron started exploring the town carefully, beginning from one corner.

This is the first town-level place Ron has encountered since arriving in the pirate world, besides Windmill Village.

Although Ron had visited major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen before, and was considered someone who had seen the bustling metropolis.

But even now, after arriving in this town, I still feel like Grandma Liu visiting the Grand View Garden.

Everything is new and interesting.

And unsurprisingly, Ron found many interesting shops in town and bought a large amount of the materials he needed.

Although Ron had exchanged most of Alvida's wealth for points, he still had a small amount of Berries left to buy materials.

After purchasing all the materials needed for the Capsule, Ron wasn't in a hurry to find Luffy.

He simply set up his own relaxation hut on a nearby open space and began the final steps of the production process inside.

Two hours later, Ron's first product, the All-Purpose Capsule (material box), was finally born.

"Ding~"

"Congratulations, host, on completing your first product of your own, achieving the accomplishment [Rookie's Graduation Gift], and receiving the following rewards: Time Machine (1/5 - Fragment, Achievement Gift - Non-recoverable) and Grade C Energy Shield (1/1 - Complete, Achievement Gift - Non-recoverable)."

The moment Ron finished the universal capsule, the familiar notification sounded in his mind again.

"I didn't expect there would be achievement rewards."

When Ron saw the reward, his pupils shrank, and he was somewhat shocked.

He never expected to obtain a fragment of a time machine map.

"A time machine created by Bulma from the Dragon Ball world..."

Although this time machine has limitations—it cannot change the past by traveling back and forth between the past and the future—it can influence a new timeline.

In that timeline, the altered past will give rise to a new future.

Even so, the value of time machines cannot be denied.

After all, many people have regrets in their hearts.

If you told Luffy from the original story that he could travel back in time to save Ace by paying a certain price, Ace could be resurrected on another parallel storyline and even become the Pirate King.

Even if Ace in the real timeline still cannot be resurrected, Luffy might have to pay a huge price for it.

This shows how precious time machines are.

Even if it cannot change the current timeline, just going back in time to see people you've never seen before or people you desperately want to see is enough to make many powerful people willing to pay a huge price.

"My God! Just one fragment of the map costs 3000 million points!"

To build the entire time machine, a total of 5 fragments of the blueprints are needed, which amounts to 15000 million points.

That's equivalent to 1500 billion Berries!!!
