The Ferocious God in the Celestial Master's Mansion

Chapter 22 Eliminate the First Party

Unlike the desolate Blood Moon Valley, the Misty Ridge in northern Jiangxi is shrouded in a thick, impenetrable white fog from beginning to end.

This fog was not naturally formed, but rather a result of an evil array laid down by Japanese eccentrics. The fog was mixed with a dense yin energy; inhaling it would cause one's limbs to weaken and one's mind to become clouded. An ordinary martial artist who stepped into it would become food for a shikigami within half an incense stick's time. At this moment, on the mountain path of Misty Ridge, a group of figures dressed in blue Taoist robes were slowly making their way towards the summit, using the Seven Star Step technique and carrying peach wood swords.

Leading the group was Yun Youzi, the abbot of Qingfeng Temple on Mount Lu. He had white hair but a youthful face, and held a whisk in his hand. With each swing of the whisk, wisps of pure energy swept away the surrounding white mist, revealing a clear path. Behind him followed dozens of Qingfeng Temple disciples, all carrying talismans and carrying magic swords, their expressions solemn and their steps steady.

"Sect Master, the eerie energy in this fog is truly malevolent!" a young disciple couldn't help but exclaim, his voice tinged with suppressed anger. "Just now, I saw the skeletons of over a dozen people hanging from the withered trees beside the mountain path, all drained of their life essence!"

Upon hearing this, Yun Youzi swung his whisk sharply, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes: "These Japanese devils are truly depraved! Using the essence of living people to nourish the mist, and using the corpses of commoners to construct their formations—such heinous acts are an outrage against both heaven and man! Today, the entire Qingfeng Temple will uproot this evil spirit of Misty Ridge and avenge the dead!"

As soon as the words were spoken, a sinister laugh suddenly echoed from the depths of the mist. The laugh was sharp and piercing, like the hooting of an owl, sending chills down everyone's spine. Immediately afterward, countless black shadows darted out of the white mist, rushing towards the audience at Qingfeng Hall. These shadows were all Mist-Hidden Shikigami created by Japanese sorcerers; their figures were elusive, and they wielded poisoned short blades, leaving a chilling wind in their wake.

"Well done!" Yun Youzi shouted, flicking his whisk through the air. Dozens of silver threads shot out like serpents, precisely binding the first few shikigami that pounced on him. The silver threads contained the pure yang true energy unique to Qingfeng Temple. The moment the shikigami were bound, they let out a shrill scream, their bodies dissolving at a visible speed, turning into wisps of black smoke.

"Disciples, form the Three Pure Ones Subduing Demon Formation!"

At Yun Youzi's command, dozens of Qingfeng Temple disciples swiftly changed formation, standing in groups of three in a three-person formation. Their peach wood swords were simultaneously drawn, their tips gleaming with a faint blue light. They chanted incantations in unison, and streaks of blue runes flew from their sword tips, converging in the air to form a massive Tai Chi diagram that slowly rotated.

The pure yang energy emanating from the Tai Chi diagram dispelled the surrounding white mist like the blazing sun. The shikigami hidden in the mist, upon being illuminated by the pure yang energy, immediately let out cries of agony and shrank back in the mist, not daring to step forward.

"Baka! A bunch of Chinese, how dare you ruin my important plans!"

A furious roar echoed from the mountain peak, followed by a figure in a black kimono emerging from the mist. This person was deathly pale, but his lips were painted an eerie red, and he held a staff inlaid with a skull in his hand. He was none other than the Japanese leader of the Misty Ridge stronghold—Kirigakure Saburo.

Kirigakure Saburo glanced at the crowd of people on the mountain path, a sinister glint in his eyes. He slammed his staff on the ground and roared, "Kirigakure, follow me and kill!"

As his words fell, hundreds of Japanese assailants dressed in black suddenly emerged from the white mist. These were all assassins carefully trained by Kirigakure Saburo, each wielding a samurai sword, their eyes burning with fanaticism, charging fearlessly towards the Qingfeng Temple's formation.

"A mere trick!" Yun Youzi sneered, waving his whisk again. The Taiji diagram suddenly accelerated its rotation, and streaks of azure sword energy shot out from the diagram, falling like raindrops.

Wherever the sword energy passed, the Japanese assassins fell to the ground, their samurai swords severed by the sword energy, their bodies pierced, and their blood splattered into the white mist, emitting a pungent, fishy smell.

Seeing this, Kirigakure Saburo flew into a rage. He suddenly raised his staff and chanted an obscure incantation. As the incantation rang out, the white mist around him surged wildly, condensing into a giant mist dragon that bared its fangs and claws as it crashed toward the Taiji diagram.

This mist dragon was formed entirely from yin energy. Its claws gleamed with a cold light. Its head opened, spewing out a black poisonous mist. Wherever it passed, even the bluestone on the mountain path was corroded and hissed.

"Master Uncle, be careful! This mist dragon is highly poisonous!" a disciple exclaimed.

Yun Youzi's expression was solemn. He could sense that the power of this mist dragon was far stronger than that of the shikigami and assassins. He took a deep breath and circulated the pure yang true energy in his body to its limit. Suddenly, a dazzling blue light burst forth from his whisk.

"Pure Yang without limit, the Daoist arts vanquish evil!"

With a roar, Yun Youzi swung his whisk fiercely at the mist dragon. A beam of azure light, several meters thick, shot out like a sharp sword, striking the mist dragon's head with pinpoint accuracy.

"Boom!"

With a deafening roar, the azure light collided with the mist dragon, unleashing a dazzling burst of light. The mist dragon let out a shrill scream as its head was instantly pierced by the azure light, and its massive body receded like a receding tide, transforming into a sky full of white mist.

The force of the recoil sent Wuyin Saburo staggering backward, spitting out a mouthful of blood, his face turning even paler. He stared at Yun Youzi, his eyes filled with disbelief: "Impossible! How could your Pure Yang True Qi be so powerful?"

Yun Youzi sneered and slowly walked towards Wuyin Sanlang: "The Taoist arts of China have been passed down for thousands of years. How can you heretics compare to them? Today is your death day!"

As he spoke, he raised his whisk, ready to strike.

Just then, from the depths of the mist, a black poisoned needle suddenly shot out, heading straight for Yun Youzi's back. The needle was incredibly fast and silent, clearly indicating a sneak attack.

"Master, be careful!"

A young disciple reacted swiftly, lunging forward to shield Yun Youzi from behind. The poisoned needle pierced his heart with pinpoint accuracy; the disciple groaned, coughed up black blood, and slowly collapsed.

"Damn it!" Yun Youzi's eyes widened in fury as he whirled around, only to see a dark figure about to disappear into the white mist. He recognized it as Kirigakure Saburo's personal bodyguard, a formidable Japanese superhuman.

"Trying to run? Leave your life behind!"

Yun Youzi roared, flicking his whisk. A silver thread shot out like lightning, wrapping around the guard's ankle. He pulled hard, and the guard screamed as he was dragged out and slammed heavily to the ground.

Yun Youzi stepped forward, his whisk falling and instantly killing the guard. Then, he turned to look at Wuyin Saburo, the killing intent in his eyes almost tangible.

As Wuyin Saburo watched Yun Youzi approach step by step, fear finally appeared in his eyes. He knew he couldn't escape death today. He suddenly pulled a black porcelain bottle from his robes and sneered, "Want to kill me? I'll drag you all down with me! Inside is my carefully crafted corpse poison. Once it explodes, the entire Misty Ridge will become a living hell!"

As he spoke, he was about to crush the porcelain bottle.

"Stop your arrogance!"

Just then, a clear shout rang out, and immediately, a blue water arrow shot out like a meteor, accurately striking Kirigakure Saburo's wrist. The porcelain bottle flew out of his hand and crashed to the ground, spilling its corpse poison everywhere with a sizzling sound.

Looking up, Yun Youzi saw a group of figures dressed in blue outfits rushing towards him from below the mountain path. The leader of them was Shui Qianliu, the patriarch of the Shui clan of Poyang Lake.

"Master Yun, how have you been?" Shui Qianliu laughed loudly, leading his clansmen forward. "The Japanese scoundrels of Falling Wind Cliff have all been slain by my Shui clan! Hearing of Master Yun's fierce battle here, we came to offer our assistance!"

Kirigakure Saburo stared at the suddenly appearing Mizuki Senryu, his face ashen. He knew he had lost all hope. He gave a bitter laugh, then abruptly raised his katana, preparing to commit suicide.

"Want to commit suicide? Not so easy!" Yun Youzi sneered, flicking out his whisk and wrapping it around Wuyin Sanlang's wrist.

Shui Qianliu stepped forward and struck Wuyin Saburo in the chest with a palm, shattering his meridians. Two members of the Shui clan stepped forward and bound Wuyin Saburo tightly.

Yun Youzi looked at his dead disciple on the ground, a trace of grief flashing in his eyes. He knelt down, gently closed his disciple's eyes, and said in a deep voice, "Disciple, rest in peace. I have avenged you."

Immediately, he stood up, looked at Shui Qianliu, and cupped his hands, saying, "Chief Shui, thank you for your help."

Shui Qianliu waved his hand and said in a deep voice, "Master Yun, you're too kind. Eliminating the Japanese invaders is simply our duty. Now that the strongholds at Misty Ridge and Falling Wind Cliff have been eliminated, only Blood Moon Valley in southern Jiangxi remains. I wonder how things are on Master Zhang's side?"

Yun Youzi looked up towards southern Jiangxi, a hint of worry flashing in his eyes: "Master Zhang is exceptionally talented and his strength is unfathomable; he should be alright. However, Ghost Face of Blood Moon Valley is no easy opponent. We should quickly gather our forces and head to Blood Moon Valley to support Master Zhang!"

Shui Qianliu nodded: "Master Yun is absolutely right!"

The two immediately ordered their disciples and clansmen to clean up the battlefield and treat the wounded.

The mist gradually dissipated, and sunlight shone through the clouds, illuminating the summit of Misty Ridge. The mountain path was littered with corpses and rivers of blood, but the nauseating, eerie atmosphere was gone.

The people of Qingfeng Temple and the Shui clan stood on the ridge, gazing resolutely towards southern Jiangxi.

The great battle in Blood Moon Valley continues.

They must hurry there to join Zhang Zhiwei and Zhang Yulei, and together they will eliminate the last evil spirit and restore peace and prosperity to the people of Jiangxi!

Meanwhile, at the remote Hakka Martial Arts Association headquarters, Zhong Tiequan was leading hundreds of martial arts masters, standing ready for battle. Their mission was to support all sides and prevent any escapees. At this moment, Zhong Tiequan stood at the village entrance, gazing towards southern and northern Jiangxi, his iron fist clenched so tightly it cracked.

"Master Zhang, Daoist Yun, Chief of the Water Clan, you must win!"

Zhong Tiequan prayed silently in his heart.

The sky over Jiangxi gradually cleared up.

But this battle, which concerns the lives of all people, is only halfway through.

The outcome of the Blood Moon Valley battle will determine the future of the entire Jiangxi province.
