Chapter 92 Oda's Secret Manual

In the morning, Raymond Lam wore Lin Yang's school uniform and stood in front of the camera to act opposite Liu Haochun.

"Lin Yang, slow down!" Liu Haochun chased after him.

"If we don't run faster, the sweet and sour pork ribs in the cafeteria will be all gone!" Lin Feng turned around and smiled at her, but didn't stop running. He grabbed her wrist and rushed forward.

Zhou Ming, behind the monitor, clapped his hands in satisfaction: "Great! That's a pass!"

Lin Feng breathed a sigh of relief and was about to let go when he saw Liu Haochun lower his head, his cheeks slightly flushed. He subtly withdrew his hand and took the bottled water from his assistant: "Haochun, how was your run just now?"

"Yeah, it's pretty good." Liu Haochun looked up. "Brother Feng acted so well, he immediately drew me into the emotions."

"Let's make progress together." Lin Feng smiled, his gaze unconsciously drifting towards the hotel. Tian Xiwei was probably still sleeping in.

Late last night, he urged Xiaotian to go back to her room, but she clung to his arm and acted spoiled, saying, "I'm too tired to move. Anyway, the bed is big enough, what's wrong with making do for one night?" He couldn't persuade her otherwise, so he had to let her stay.

In the hotel room, Tian Xiwei turned over and stretched. Her silk nightgown slid up, revealing her slender waist.

"Ugh—" She yawned, picked up her phone and saw that it was already ten o'clock. Her stomach growled, and she noticed a carton of milk and bread on the bedside table—her favorite toast.

"Did Feng prepare this?" Xiaotian picked up a piece of bread and took a big bite. She sat cross-legged on the bed, eating and grinning like an idiot. She felt that her life was unbelievably perfect. She got into the Beijing Film Academy, acted with Feng, and now even Feng's people were hers.

But as she laughed, her face fell again. Feng Ge must be filming with Liu Haochun right now, right? The thought of them playing a couple in school uniforms suddenly made her bread lose its flavor.

"No, I have to think of something." Xiaotian put down the milk carton, took out her phone, and pulled out her "secret tips": "1. Become a close friend to your rival, and she'll give up on her own. 2. Find a way to make your rival like you—"

The second method was too embarrassing; she couldn't very well sacrifice herself, could she? Blushing, she stuffed her phone back under her pillow, deciding to use the first method first, and only resort to the second if necessary.

After washing up and changing into a dress, Tian Xiwei twirled in front of the mirror and felt that she looked especially cute today.

I glanced at the time; it was eleven o'clock. Perfect timing to go buy lunch for Brother Feng.

There's a Sichuan restaurant near the hotel; the owner is a middle-aged man. "Boss, is your food authentic?"

"Don't worry, sister, it's authentic or your money back!" the boss patted his chest confidently. "My chilies are all imported from Chongqing, I guarantee they'll be flavorful!"

"Then give me some shredded pork with pickled peppers, lots of small pickled peppers, and some twice-cooked pork, the kind stir-fried with garlic sprouts. Oh, and also some scrambled eggs with tomatoes, something light." After listing the dishes, Xiaotian added, "To go."

"Okay!"

While waiting for the food, Tian Xiwei went to the milk tea shop next door and bought three cups of milk tea.

When Tian Xiwei arrived at the film set with food and milk tea, Lin Feng and Liu Haochun were filming a classroom scene. As Liu Haochun looked down, her hair brushed against Lin Feng's shoulder, and she clenched the plastic bag in her hand tightly.

"Cut! This one's passed!" Zhou Ming's voice came through.

Tian Xiwei immediately put on a smile, quickly stepped forward, handed the strawberry milk tea to Liu Haochun, and then stuffed the pearl milk tea into Lin Feng's hand: "Brother Feng, Haochun, have some milk tea!"

"Oh, why is our Xiaotian being so sensible today?" Lin Feng took the milk tea and pinched her cheek.

"That's right!" Xiaotian raised her chin. "I even brought you lunch, authentic Sichuan cuisine!" She opened the insulated bag, and a rich aroma wafted out. "Brother Feng, this is your favorite pickled pepper shredded pork and twice-cooked pork. Haochun, this tomato and egg stir-fry is for you, it's light and not greasy."

Liu Haochun took the lunchbox. "Thank you, Weiwei."

The three found a shady corner to sit down. Xiao Tian sat next to Lin Feng, occasionally putting a piece of pickled pepper pork on his plate with her chopsticks: "Brother Feng, try this, it's super delicious!"

"Eat less spicy food, be careful not to get a sore throat." Lin Feng picked the chili peppers out of her bowl and replaced them with a piece of twice-cooked pork. "Eat more meat."

Sitting opposite her, Liu Haochun noticed that Xiaotian had really changed. Even her tone of voice had become much gentler. What was even stranger was that she seemed to have gained a kind of indescribable charm.

"Haochun, why aren't you eating?" Xiaotian suddenly looked up and asked her, "Is it not to your liking?"

"No, it's delicious." Liu Haochun quickly picked up a piece of food.

"Then eat more." Xiao Tian smiled and put a piece of meat on her plate. "You must be tired from filming lately, so you need to eat more nutritious food."

In the afternoon, Liu Haochun stood in front of the camera and took a deep breath.

The moment the director yelled "Action," the confusion in her eyes vanished, leaving only Yu Zhouzhou's composure and resilience.

"Haochun is in great form today!" the assistant director on the sidelines remarked to Zhou Ming. "His eyes are so expressive."

Zhou Ming nodded and looked at the close-up of Liu Haochun on the monitor. "This girl has a lot of pent-up energy."

Liu Haochun herself also felt it; the thoughts she had come to understand during the meal were like a buff to her. She was sure that Brother Feng and Xiaotian were alright, otherwise, given Xiaotian's inability to keep secrets, she would have announced it to the whole world long ago.

They've known each other for so long but haven't been together, which means they have a brother-sister relationship. And what about her? During the last fake kiss scene, Brother Feng was clearly stunned, so maybe he has feelings for someone else.

With this in mind, her portrayal of Yu Zhouzhou's dependence on and attraction to Lin Yang felt exceptionally natural. In fact, when Lin Feng smiled and ruffled her hair, she could feel her heartbeat skip a beat, unable to distinguish whether it was Yu Zhouzhou's or her own.

Tian Xiwei sat on a folding chair by the side of the set, her handheld game console almost worn out from pressing the buttons. Daji on the screen died again and again, but she stared at the two figures in school uniforms on set, angrily biting her straw.

The two sat side by side on the steps, their heads close together, whispering to each other. Even after the director yelled "cut," Raymond Lam was still talking to Liu Haochun about the scene.

"What's there to say? We're always glued together." Xiaotian tossed the game console aside, her jealousy churning inside her. She had originally come to get attention, but now it seemed like she was just asking for trouble.

During the break, Lin Feng walked over to her and asked, "Why aren't you playing anymore?"

"It's boring." Xiao Tian turned her face away. "Brother Feng, I'm going back to the hotel to play games. It's too noisy here."

"Leaving so soon?"

"Yeah, out of sight, out of mind." Xiaotian grabbed her bag and walked towards the hotel without looking back.

After finishing work in the evening, Raymond Lam invited the two girls to have dinner together. In the small restaurant, Tian Xiwei didn't say much, just buried her head in her rice, occasionally putting a piece of meat on Raymond Lam's plate. Liu Haochun, on the other hand, was more lively than usual, taking the initiative to chat with Raymond Lam about interesting things that happened during filming.

After dinner, Liu Haochun suddenly pulled Tian Xiwei aside: "Weiwei, why don't we go to my room and sit for a while? It's been a long time since we chatted."

Xiaotian paused for a moment, then nodded, "Okay."

Liu Haochun's room was very tidy. She poured Xiaotian a glass of lemon water and said, "Make yourself at home."

Xiao Tian held the water glass, her mind racing with alarm bells.

The two chatted casually for a while, from their college entrance exam scores to the start of the Beijing Film Academy, until Liu Haochun casually remarked, "Weiwei, you seem to have changed a lot lately."

Xiao Tian's heart skipped a beat, but she pretended to be clueless: "Really? I don't feel anything. Hasn't it always been like this?"

"It's different," Liu Haochun said, looking at her earnestly. "You used to be so boisterous, but now you seem more composed and even more beautiful."

"Really?" Xiaotian's eyes lit up, and she subconsciously touched her face. "You're not just praising me on purpose, are you? Hehe."
