Chapter 97 Discussion of the Show
Chapter 97 Discussion of the Show
"Honey, I received an invitation to Victoria's Secret. Will you come with me?" Jessica asked Link that day, holding an invitation.
Link was taken aback for a moment, then realized that the Marvel universe had a lot in common with his original world, so he would naturally not miss a fashion show like this.
In the original world, Victoria's Secret eventually couldn't survive because its positioning was too sexy and glamorous, which didn't meet the needs of its target consumers.
This thing looks nice, but it's uncomfortable to wear. There are problems with its business strategy and innovation.
Link nodded and said, "Okay, let's go take a look!"
"But I think the brand you're wearing right now is pretty good; it's both sexy and comfortable."
Jessica wrapped her arms around Link's neck and asked, "Don't you want to see me with wings?"
Link rolled his eyes, but then suddenly had an idea and said, "Why don't you look for a place that makes cheongsams? I'd love to see you wearing one."
"Oh, is it an oriental cheongsam?" Jessica seemed to understand; Link was of Chinese descent. "Okay, I'll look for it. But shall we go?"
After waving the invitation in his hand again, Link could only nod. He would go if Jessica asked for something, so he naturally wouldn't refuse.
"I'll go invite Tracy!" Jessica immediately ran off to call Tracy.
……
This year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was held in New York and invited many New York celebrities. When Link arrived in a Rolls-Royce Phantom with Jessica and Tracy on time, they saw Tony Stark and Pepper Potts getting out of the front door.
They were placed in front of Link, and Link was certain that Pepper had requested it, probably because of his own situation.
McCall was the driver, while Frank got out of the car first in the passenger seat. He opened the back door, and Link got out first, then picked up Jessica and Tracy.
With one arm around each of the two, Tracy was also a big star; she had been famous since childhood, and everything she did became a hit.
Although they have painful pasts, most people don't know about them, and the media doesn't think much of their arrival together. Jessica and Tracy are step-sisters, and Jessica was adopted by Tracy's mother.
This isn't news; what's news is Jessica's current situation: her boyfriend is a newly emerged billionaire who acquired the Osborne Group and is now its chairman.
She also owns 10 percent of Stark Industries, established the Jessica Charitable Foundation, invested in United Construction to develop Hell's Kitchen, and so on.
This person rose to prominence very quickly, and naturally became a target of media attention. Unfortunately, Link is not Stark; he is too low-key and rarely goes out.
Especially after moving to the Osborn Group, the studio became like Link's new toy.
The flashes went off like an explosion. Link was wearing sunglasses, but Tracy and Jessica weren't. They seemed unaffected. Tracy was used to it, and Jessica was said to have experienced these things frequently in the past.
After all, she is Tracy's sister and is also chased by the media, which she hates. However, now that she is working with Link and taking charge of most of the affairs, she has also become more disciplined.
The two beautiful women, each with a different style, linked arms with Link on either side, making Link the envy of all the men.
The three of them walked together on the red carpet, listening to the calls from those around them, and turning around from time to time to let people take pictures. It took them almost three minutes to walk on the short red carpet.
No one rushed us; we signed in at the entrance before entering the venue.
Stark waved, and the three of them walked over. They hugged each other and then sat down, with Link and Stark sitting together.
The three of them huddled together, and they seemed to know each other quite well, while Link and Stark were completely unaware of this.
Stark said, "Construction of headquarters has begun, and everything is progressing smoothly. I had Thor and Banner test it out, and the prison's defenses are in good working order."
"We need to get your feedback on individual rooms."
"My room doesn't matter, as long as it has a bathroom for normal living," Link said. "The captain and Black Widow live here regularly. Hawkeye is married, and his home address is a secret, which needs to be kept confidential."
Stark nodded, then said, "I plan to modify the Quinjet and then produce it using your weapons factory."
"No problem, I'll keep a close eye on it. Besides, we should all learn how to fly it, but the key is still the spaceship," Link said. "The Kree that Fury mentioned before are worth being wary of."
"We are still far too unfamiliar with the universe. If possible, we should travel to the universe."
"Asgard is the key."
Stark's eyes lit up, and he said, "I think so too. I want to see exactly where the difference lies between us and them. The Chitauri don't seem that strong to me."
"My plan is to build an iron army, but Jarvis doesn't have enough control over it yet."
"No, one Jarvis isn't enough," Link said. "The Osborn Corporation also developed an artificial intelligence called Alfred, which is similar to Jarvis."
"If one isn't enough, we'll use more, but you must never think about developing real artificial intelligence; that's very dangerous."
"I have an idea that will likely be rarely realized."
"What are your thoughts?" Stark asked.
"Project Legion!" Link said. "Develop several more artificial intelligences, one for each Avenger, so that the AI can command the robots in battle through the Avenger's commands."
"And robots can be diverse, such as fire support type, assault melee type, infiltration and reconnaissance type, etc. These are closely related to the Avengers, allowing artificial intelligence to learn the habits of the controller."
"By leveraging the strengths of each Avenger, we can avoid worrying about artificial intelligence rebelling. After all, once true artificial intelligence is developed, it will control weapons of war."
"The Chitauri have mastered an advanced civilization. Although they are ugly, they have indeed entered the interstellar age."
"Why don't they use artificial intelligence? Is it impossible?"
Stark fell into deep thought. He did want to develop real artificial intelligence, but Link was right. Why didn't the Chitauri use it?
This is a problem, so it's worth being wary of, and Link's idea is indeed quite good.
"Okay, I'll consider your suggestion. I'll design a new AI specifically to assist me in combat," Stark said. "If the plan works, then part of the weapons factory in Osborn will need to be renovated."
"Don't worry, that's not a problem," Link said.
