Chapter 95 Conditions
Chapter 95 Conditions
Nick Fury asked, "Lin, what do you want to talk about?"
“It’s not that I want to, it’s that we need to talk to each other first,” Link said. “I expect everyone will join, but what we should do after that is a huge question.”
Nick Fury nodded slightly and said, "Okay, then you can stay here for now. Just call me when you've finished talking."
Nick Fury turned around and left immediately. This was the New York branch, since most of the staff were here.
Link spoke again, asking, "What are your thoughts?"
"Lin, you go first!" Steve Rogers said first. "After all, we all know how intelligent you are. If it weren't for you, if we had been even a little later, the Chitauri army would have already entered Earth."
“That’s right!” Stark added, “I’m a little lacking in that area.”
He was someone who refused to admit defeat, and the others nodded in agreement.
Link thought for a moment, then said, "Okay, so first of all, once we join the Avengers, we must give up our S.H.I.E.L.D. affiliation."
"I think the Avengers shouldn't be led by S.H.I.E.L.D., but should be an organization with decision-making power, operational decision-making power. We can't be tools."
"Agreed!" Stark immediately agreed. "To be honest, even if Fury revealed some secrets, I'm still sure he has many more."
Link laughed and said, "That's for sure. S.H.I.E.L.D. has been around for so long, how could it only have a few secrets? Of course, the Kree attack did threaten Earth's safety."
"Moreover, that Thanos is no good either. Even advanced civilizations cannot do anything to him. His killings are horrifying."
"Think about Earth, with a population of seven billion. If he were to kill half of them, that would be three and a half billion. I can't even imagine such a terrifying number."
Everyone's expressions turned serious.
Link continued, "However, we need a liaison with S.H.I.E.L.D., and I think Captain America is the most suitable."
"Let him handle our communication; everyone trusts him as a bridge, what do you think?"
"No problem!" Everyone agreed.
Link looked at Thor and said, "We are still extremely unfamiliar with the universe, and we need Asgard's help."
"You used to be able to protect the Earth, but now you seem to be much worse. Are there internal problems within your organization?"
Thor paused, then said somewhat dejectedly, "My father entered Odin's Sleep. He was too old, and with Loki's actions, the Rainbow Bridge was destroyed, so the Asgardian army couldn't reach Earth."
Stark asked curiously, "You don't have a spaceship?"
"No, because the Rainbow Bridge can withstand anything," Thor said. "And it can land anywhere. In the previous conquests of Asgard, it appeared right in front of the enemy."
Stark rolled his eyes. Link said, "Thor, we want to form an alliance with Asgard. It's an alliance between the Avengers and Asgard."
"Of course, we need more now, including information about the universe, star maps, technology, and so on."
"If possible, I hope Tony and Bruce can go there to learn something."
"I know that Earth's current civilization is not suitable for contacting interstellar civilizations, but we Avengers are. I believe that with their intelligence, they can definitely absorb and consume a lot of knowledge."
Thor hesitated for a moment, then said, "I can't make that decision."
"Then when you go back, please take me with you," Link said. "I hope to meet Odin in person and discuss things with him."
"After all, doesn't Asgard have any enemies?"
"In my opinion, you have been at peace for too long, with Odin the God-King constantly intimidating other civilizations."
"And Thor, you are not yet as strong as your father."
Thor had to admit this, so he said, "Alright, I'll take you there and see what my father thinks."
Link nodded. As long as he got there, that was fine. He didn't want to show his strength on Earth, but he might be able to in front of the God King.
After all, without strength, even the God-King might not negotiate with you.
"Tony and I will fund the construction of an Avengers headquarters. We'll handle the funding ourselves, without relying on the government, which will give us more freedom," Link continued. "Of course, there will be a salary."
"Under normal circumstances, if the Avengers headquarters needs to be occupied, then we'll need Steve, Natasha, Clint, and you guys."
"Thor won't stay on Earth forever. We need to have our own means of communication and can't rely too much on the Rainbow Bridge. That's a lesson we need to learn."
"Bruce can work at Stark Industries or Osborn Corporation; he'll excel wherever he goes."
"We'll discuss anything else that comes to mind, but the main topic is the code of conduct."
Everyone nodded in agreement. Seeing that a consensus had been reached, Link called Nick Fury in, and the two began to negotiate.
Nick Fury had guessed it, after all, Link had warned him on the mothership to be wary of nuclear weapons, and the World Security Council did indeed issue an order, but unfortunately Nick Fury had partially sealed off the weapons depot beforehand.
Furthermore, many of the fighter jets were damaged, and the rest had been sent out to provide support, leaving no fighter jets to carry.
Nick Fury was truly terrified. If it had actually been launched, the consequences would have been unimaginable, especially with Thor from Asgard present.
The Rainbow Bridge in Asgard is currently unusable, but it is almost repaired. Once repaired, will Asgard send a large army to Earth?
When that time comes, he will have no choice but to summon Captain Marvel, but the losses he will suffer will be enormous. Just how powerful is the God-King of Asgard?
Look at Thor, this guy is already very strong in combat, but his father is much stronger than him, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to take back his divine power.
S.H.I.E.L.D. has specialists who analyze these things, and while the results may not be entirely accurate, they can only be estimated to be high.
Nick Fury said, "I agree with your opinions and ideas. I will be responsible for communicating with the World Security Council on this matter. You can start preparing now."
Link hadn't expected things to go so smoothly, but Nick Fury must have something he hadn't said. However, this was none of their business, and whatever the reason, Link certainly wouldn't follow the orders of the World Security Council.
Furthermore, with him around, Vision wouldn't have been born, and without Ultron, things wouldn't have happened. Tony Stark wouldn't have agreed to this either.
