Chapter 22 Charitable Foundation

When Link got home, Jessica was asleep on the sofa in the living room, clearly waiting for him. Link went over, turned off the TV, and then picked Jessica up.

"Hmm~ You're back?" Jessica asked, still half asleep.

"You're back, go to sleep!" Link said softly. He placed Jessica on the bed in the master bedroom, then took off his clothes and went into the bathroom.

The next morning, Jessica suddenly sat up and turned to look at Link. Link opened his eyes and asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

"You won?" Jessica asked, her eyes wide.

Link laughed and said, "Of course we won! Thirty million dollars, how about that?"

"Really?" Jessica looked incredulous. "So many?"

"Haha~" Link got up, pulled Jessica over and kissed her. "Alright, get up. We have things to do today. I need to cash the checks as soon as possible and then buy stocks!"

"Oh right, otherwise we'd have to pay so much tax!" Jessica quickly got up. "I'll go make you a sandwich."

After having breakfast, Link was seen out of the house by Jessica. He first went to the bank to cash the check, and then went to the accounting firm again to have Langley continue buying Stark Industries stock.

Langley Osley was quite surprised, but he didn't inquire further. Instead, he promised to buy as much Stark Industries stock as possible as possible.

Link left satisfied and went to a nearby bank, but he didn't do any business there. Instead, he kept an eye on the people opening safe deposit boxes or the manager to see if they had the same key.

Link considered several points. First, the bank had to be large, with sufficient security and a robust security system.

Secondly, no information is registered; only the key is recognized, not the person, in order to maintain confidentiality.

Considering the above two points, there are not many banks that Link needs to check. He found two nearby, but the safe deposit box keys of the two banks were different.

He could only broaden the scope, since Langley wouldn't put things in banks he was connected with, so even after expanding the scope, Link still made selections.

He wasn't in a hurry. This was a task he was doing alone, and it was quite difficult, so Coulson wouldn't rush him.

As long as you give the final result yourself, then it's considered excellent, especially if the result you give yourself might be a little surprising.

Link couldn't find her that day, so he went home and picked up Jessica to have dinner. This time, without Tracy, the two of them had some alone time. After dinner, they went to see a movie.

For the next three days, Link searched and finally found it at the last bank on the third day.

However, it was already late, so he left immediately. As for whether Langley's safe was there, he would have to check again tomorrow.

Link thought about it and realized it was true. If Jessica went to work, it would have a significant impact on their lives, especially if it was some of the more unusual jobs.

Link had originally planned to recruit her into S.H.I.E.L.D., but now he thinks better of it. He'll get her a vibranium suit later if he gets the chance, but that's for protection, not for her to fight.

He had no intention of revealing his superpowers; being an excellent agent was enough for him.

Link, holding Jessica, sat down for a moment and suddenly said, "I think we can set up a charitable foundation specifically for legal aid."

"On the one hand, it can exempt you from taxes, and on the other hand, it can help some people. What do you think?"

"You will be in charge of managing this foundation and will choose a law firm with a strong sense of justice to partner with."

Link thought of Daredevil. Jessica wasn't suited to working, so she could set up a charitable foundation for her to manage, and she would receive a salary for that.

Jessica blinked. She hadn't thought of this suggestion before, but it was indeed a good idea.

"Can I?" Jessica asked.

"You can learn first. After all, I just used my money to buy Stark Industries stock, and running a foundation isn't easy, so we can take it slow," Link said. "We don't need to be famous; we can just do it quietly."

"After all, I'm not a public figure, just a professional gambler, so there's no need for me to publicize it."

"How about you learn it first?"

"Okay, I'll learn a bit and see if I can do it." Jessica nodded, very interested in the suggestion.

However, there is a problem now: the two are not married, and she is uncertain about the future, especially since Link is unaware of her superpowers.

Everything was unknown, and she could only take it one step at a time.

The next day, Link went to the bank hoping to see their safe deposit box service. The manager warmly invited Link to visit, which was a very important step.

A huge vault contained rows of small safes. Link activated his X-ray vision and looked through them one by one, saying, "You only need keys here, right?"

"Yes, Mr. Lin, we don't register individuals here. The rental fee for the safe is paid in a lump sum, such as for three, five, or ten years," the manager explained. "Just bring the key when you need to use it."

"We only register the number on the key."

Link didn't see the key in its entirety, so he didn't see the serial number either, but he didn't need to know.

At this point, he could see everything inside the safe; what he was looking for were documents, hard drives, USB drives, and disks.
