Chapter 66 Spring Water

Wonder Woman was stealing something, and judging from her cautious manner in the surveillance footage, she probably didn't want others to know. Connors didn't remember this kind of plot appearing in the comics, but that didn't stop him from making inferences.

Looking at the projection on Batman's wristband, Wonder Woman Diana appeared just as the group of fat men in the Ghostface Bar had said.

Her upper body was a strapless battle armor that shimmered with metallic luster, and her lower body was a short skirt made of a material that looked like leather but wasn't. Her long, white legs, even through the projection, were incredibly alluring.

Diana, dressed in divine attire, as an Amazonian, did not have great material needs, and it was unlikely that she would be as enthusiastic about collectibles with high artistic value as "Catwoman" Selena Gomez.

Regarding the theft shown on the surveillance footage, Connors fully utilized his brain to its "physical limits," working with Batman Wayne to quickly analyze the truth of the matter.

"Old Batman," Connors said, "I need to use your computer. The one in the Batcave."

"Also, Catwoman, draw your stolen item, the more accurate the better."

"Batman, do you remember exactly what your short sword looks like? You need to draw it too."

Batman paused for two seconds:

"—Okay, but didn't you call yourself an 'outsider'? Why are you suddenly interested in this?"

He didn't understand why Connors, as an "outsider," was suddenly issuing orders.

Connors couldn't very well say he just rushed to the scene to watch the drama unfold, so he organized his thoughts and said:

"As an 'outsider,' I at least need to know where the 'outsider' is, right?"

"You're not going to get involved again like you did in Beach City, getting involved and then detached, are you?" Barry said casually. "The Flash" Barry was just saying it offhand, but his words hit the nail on the head.

For a moment, apart from "Catwoman" Selena looking around for paper and pen, everyone else stared intently at Connors.

The incident in Seaside City had just passed, and they naturally wouldn't forget Connors' series of actions.

He gave Batman a hint about the "grave," manipulated the Injustice Society's sabotage plans, and left the location in the Justice Society's ring box.

Even when Batman and his crew followed the clues to the Seaside City Library, Connors had already taken up the job of librarian there.

"The Flash" Barry needs to return to his workplace to explain to his boss why he's been absent for three consecutive days in order to avoid being fired.

"Superman" Clark is going to a place unknown to anyone but himself to release Lois and Martha, who are being protected there, and to find a way to get rid of the female reporter.

He didn't start by looking up information about "Wonder Woman" Diana, but instead began searching for information about New York.

There are possibly two pieces of news about superheroes: one is the mysterious large-scale power outage in New York more than a month ago, and the other is a private clinic that received a group of people dressed in strange costumes more than three months ago.

"Have you drawn the picture of your lost dagger?"

At first, he thought there was something special about the short sword, but now it seems that the most special thing is the hilt, but he can't analyze any more useful information from the hilt alone.

Perhaps we can find the relevant information by looking at the unusual design of the sword hilt.

The keyboard was pounded, and Connors quickly found something similar: a painting and museum sent by "Catwoman" Selena in Gotham, which looked quite similar to Batman's short sword, and seemed to be part of some broken object.

He didn't say a word, just looked at "Green Lantern" Hal, clearly indicating that he was telling him to leave.

"Hmm? We found the information. Shouldn't we go to the museum and stake it out right away?" Hal asked, scratching his head.

"I'm not interested in just thieves."

Batman said he was more interested in Connors's particular inquiry into New York.

Or perhaps the author attributed Barry's inability to see the future to those strangely dressed people.

"Well, you're right," Hal said with little interest. If even theft had to be dealt with, he, the vigilante of the universe, would probably be overwhelmed with work.

Riding on the black smoke, Connors noticed that among the people who had just returned from Seaside City, only he was interested in Wonder Woman, so he didn't bother to call them over.

Zatanna and Sheryl sat side by side in the coffee shop of the "Andrew Hotel". The two women knew each other because of a previous magic performance and were brought together again because of Connors' disappearance.

The two chatted casually until Connors arrived.

Connors didn't know where Zatanna lived. His original intention was to come to the hotel to ask Xuexi, but after failing to find her, he used "intermediate hypnosis" to ask the staff and learned that Xuexi was in the coffee shop.

Connors sought out Sheryl to inquire about Zatanna's address, since Sheryl had invited her to the previous magic show.

Zatanna was here too, which saved him a lot of trouble.

So he sat down opposite the two of them:

"Long time no see. I'll help you find your father once I've finished what I'm doing."

He said this to Zatanna, not forgetting the deal he made with her to learn "reverse magic".
