Chapter 26 Harry's Disillusionment
As Lyra and Hermione distributed the pyrotechnics and cheering banners in the stadium stands, a faint rumble of thunder sounded in the sky.
“It looks like it’s going to rain, that’s not good—” Lyra, who was still holding a bunch of small gold and red flags, stopped and looked at the gloomy sky.
"Look! The Gryffindor team is coming out!" Hermione excitedly pointed to the stadium exit below.
In fact, Hermione didn't even need to remind them. As soon as the red team entered the stadium, the entire stadium, or rather, apart from the rude boos and jeers from Slytherin, erupted in enthusiastic cheers from the other three houses—Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff both hoped to see Slytherin defeated.
Lyra scattered the small flags in her arms like a shower of petals, and immediately used her wand to give herself a loud shout: "Gryffindor will win!"
Then, with a sudden wave of his wand, a huge phantom of a red lion appeared in the sky above the Gryffindor stands, circled the entire Quidditch pitch, and finally roared majestically at the Slytherin stands before disappearing into golden specks of light.
"Gryffindor will win!" The entire stadium was ignited by Lyra's beautiful illusion, and everyone couldn't help but roar along.
Countless small red flags symbolizing Gryffindor waved in the stands, and fireworks were constantly being launched from the crowd. Gold and red stars were shining everywhere, creating a magnificent scene that completely overwhelmed the faint green of Slytherin.
"Oh, what a beautiful spell!" Headmaster Dumbledore on the faculty table smiled and clapped, and Professor McGonagall, unusually, also abandoned her serious expression and clapped enthusiastically with pride. Only Professor Snape had a dark face and let out a cold snort.
The two captains quickly finished shaking hands, and with Mrs. Hooch's whistle, the match began.
In the dark, cloud-covered sky, the team members transformed into fourteen shadows, whizzing through the air.
"Ah!" Hermione gasped when she saw Harry nearly get hit by a vicious black ball.
Lyra saw one of the twins fly to Harry's side and slam the Loopball at a large, brown-haired Slytherin, but unexpectedly, the heavy Loopball changed direction midway and flew straight back towards Harry.
"Watch out—" The audience below watched with bated breath.
Harry nimbly ducked and dodged the ball's attack.
The redhead, unable to distinguish whether it was George or Fred, hurled it at Malfoy again. However, the ball, like a boomerang, turned and hurtled towards Harry once more, this time aiming for Harry's head.
"Damn it!" Ron yelled angrily. "There's something wrong with this ball!"
The Gryffindor players above couldn't hear the spectators' protests, but they gradually realized that the wandering ball was out of control, as it had been chasing Harry the entire time, as if it wouldn't stop until it knocked him off his broom.
The red-haired twins have reunited and are now working together to protect Harry.
It started to rain, and large drops of rain hit everyone's faces.
The situation was not good for Gryffindor at this point. Lyra heard the commentator, Lee Jordan, announce loudly, "Slytherin is in the lead, sixty to zero."
Clearly, Slytherin's superior brooms came in handy, while the frantic running balls relentlessly chasing Gryffindor's Seekers also caused serious problems.
Gryffindor captain Wood quickly noticed this and signaled to the referee that a timeout was needed.
The audience saw seven red figures huddled together, quickly discussing something, while the green team on the other side chuckled at their lagging and defeated opponents.
Leila and the others could only watch the players on the field from afar, hoping they could come up with a good strategy to turn the tide.
Shortly after, Mrs. Hooch's whistle blew again, and the game continued.
Soon, everyone on the field knew what Gryffindor's latest tactic was—to abandon protecting Seeker Harry and let him fend for himself.
The slender, dark-haired figure nimbly battled the crazed, wandering ball high in the sky, sometimes rising, sometimes spinning, sometimes heading east, sometimes circling west, narrowly avoiding the ball each time.
The audience, who had been watching Harry intently, struggled to follow his movements. Just when they felt their eyes were about to blur, they suddenly saw Harry stop dodging the Runaway Ball and turn to charge at Malfoy, the Slytherin Seeker who had been mocking him.
“Harry must be driven mad by Malfoy,” Ron shouted in support of Harry. “Bump him! Harry!”
"Look, the seekers from the two teams are about to fight!" Lyra heard the exclamations from the Hufflepuffs in the next stand. It seemed that many others shared Ron's thoughts.
Leila quickly grabbed her binoculars to check the situation, and soon she realized that everyone was wrong.
After Harry stopped dodging the bouncing ball, it struck his arm hard. Lyra could see it clearly through her binoculars: his arm twisted strangely, clearly broken.
But Harry didn't stop. Instead, he continued to charge fiercely at Malfoy. Malfoy hurriedly dodged to the side in terror, but Harry ignored Malfoy and charged forward with all his might. With his uninjured other hand, he released the broom and grabbed it hard. A golden flash was held in his palm!
It's the Golden Snitch!
Gryffindor won!
The audience rose to their feet and applauded, cheering for the winning team. But many also gasped for Gryffindor's Seeker—Harry, having caught the Golden Snitch, fell to the ground as both his hands slipped from his broom.
Fortunately, people could see that he was still alive: the black-haired boy struggled in the mud and raised his hand, indicating that the Golden Thief was there.
Hermione, Ron, Lyra, and others had already left the high stands and were running towards the pitch.

Harry only remembers confirming that the Golden Snitch was in his hand before he passed out.
When he woke up again, he was still lying in the mud, rain pouring down on his face. In his daze, Harry saw a row of gleaming teeth and heard the familiar clicking sound.
He met the two people he least wanted to see when he was at his lowest point!
"Get away, Colin, don't take pictures!" But Harry not only failed to get rid of this annoying guy, he also failed to escape another even more annoying one.
“Harry, let me heal you, it’s very simple—” Lockhart completely ignored Harry’s struggles and waved his hand at Harry’s broken arm.
Suddenly, the air around them went silent for a few seconds, and then the crowd gasped in shock.
Harry noticed a strange, flesh-colored rubber strip on his arm.
At this moment, Lyra and the others finally squeezed into the center of the crowd, and bumped right into Harry, who was numbly dragging his rubber arm.
"This is nothing like the victory I imagined!" Harry cried out in despair as he saw Lyra staring at his arm and taking a step back in surprise.
