HP: I beat the otome game at Hogwarts

Chapter 16 Stadium Conflict

Over the next few days, Lyra and the twins sneaked out of the castle every night to outwit the Whomping Willow. The three tried various methods, including Polymorph, Disillusionment, and Silence, which had some effect, but only to a limited extent. Ultimately, their conclusion was that they couldn't collect a sample of the Whomping Willow without getting a good beating.

Lyra refused to be beaten by the Willow again. She suddenly remembered that Harry had mentioned to her during the summer that he had a magical invisibility cloak.

This solved the problem. Lyra easily borrowed the Invisibility Cloak from Harry. The tough twins distracted the Whomping Willow, while Lyra donned the Invisibility Cloak and used a Silencing Charm to collect samples.

Ultimately, it was a great success. Lyra stood in a safe place watching the Whomping Willow dance wildly in anger after its tender green branches were picked, and she was overjoyed.

This good mood lasted until Friday night, when Lyra quietly returned the Invisibility Cloak to Harry in a corner of the common room.

"How's Ron's wand?" Lyra thought back to the day they flew back to school, when Ron's wand was broken by the Whomping Willow.

“Well, he tried to stick the wand to his forehead with duct tape,” Harry said with a wry smile, “but it kept malfunctioning in class. Today in Charms class, this damn spell gave Professor Flitwick a big green bump on the forehead…it really annoyed him.”

"Oh, poor Ron, you can tell him when you get back that George Fred and I have avenged him," Lyra quickly told Harry the good news.

Harry: "?"

But then the red-haired twins ran over and jokingly asked Harry for autographs, and a first-year boy kept snapping photos of Harry with a magic camera. Soon, the Gryffindor common room was in complete chaos.

The next morning, Angelina and Aria, who shared a dorm room, got up early. They tried to be as quiet as possible, but Lyra was still awakened by the rustling sounds.

"Isn't today Saturday?" Leila asked, rubbing her eyes.

"It's Quidditch training—"

"Wood has gone mad—"

The two complained when they saw Lyra was awake. They were both members of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

"Oh, Fred seemed to have told me to come and watch you guys practice." Leila looked up at the window. The sky outside was bathed in the pink and pale gold light of the rising sun, and the occasional clear chirping of birds could be heard.

“Alright, since everyone’s awake, I’ll go check out the stadium too,” Leila decided after thinking for a moment. “That way, we can all have breakfast together after training.”

Arya and Angelina were eager for the team to rejoin, so they left in a hurry.

After getting up, Leila wasn't in a hurry. She washed up at her own pace and slowly walked towards the ball field outside the castle.

By the time Lyra reached the stadium, the sun was already high in the sky, with only a lingering mist still clinging to the grass. A few people were scattered in the stands; Lyra recognized them as Ron and Hermione. She waved happily to them.

"Good morning, Leila," the two greeted each other warmly.

The three of them sat in the stands watching the team practice. Lyra saw George and Fred playing against Harry, the three of them flying high and fast around the stadium, looking incredibly cool.

Sitting at the highest point of the stands was the first-year Gryffindor boy who loved to take pictures everywhere with his magic camera. He kept chasing after Harry, snapping away non-stop.

Lyra cupped her hands in a megaphone and cheered loudly for them. High in the air, unable to distinguish whether it was Fred or George, they excitedly performed a spectacular handstand loop in response to Lyra.

“Hey, look over there,” Ron suddenly stood up, “it’s Slytherin!”

Fred and George landed back on the ground. The Gryffindor players noticed that Slytherin's team had also arrived on the pitch.

Seeing the situation getting worse as the two groups fought over the space, Lyra and Ron Hermione quickly moved into the crowd.

"I'm Slytherin's new Seeker... and my dad bought us a new broom."

As Lyra stepped into the crowd, she heard Draco Malfoy's smug speech. He arrogantly flaunted seven brand-new, gleaming flying brooms, the seven lines of beautiful gold lettering "Nimbus 2001" practically burning the eyes of the Gryffindor team members.

Lyra recognized the latest high-end broom that the twins had looked at with longing eyes in the Quidditch boutique. She also recognized the arrogant boy as the platinum-haired boy she had met outside Flourish and Blotts during the summer vacation, who still had his old-fashioned slicked-back hair styled with hair oil.

It seemed this platinum-haired boy was destined for premature baldness, Lyra thought without much sympathy.

When she snapped out of her inappropriate reverie, she heard the platinum-haired boy say menacingly, "You stinking little mudblood!"

These words struck the crowd like a drop of water splashed into a pan of boiling oil. A fight immediately broke out between the two sides.

Lyra saw Fred and George angrily rush towards the platinum boy, intending to punch him, but were blocked by a large Slytherin. Arya and Angelina screamed and questioned each other. Although Lyra didn't understand what was going on, she immediately drew her wand, ready to help the twins.

But someone acted faster than Lyra: Ron, who furiously yelled at the Platinum Boy with his wand, "You'll pay for this, Malfoy!" and then cast a spell.

A massive explosion echoed throughout the stadium—Ron's spell had gone awry. His broken wand failed to knock down his enemy; instead, a beam of green light shot from the back of the wand, sending its owner, poor Ron, flying and crashing to the ground.

"Ron!" Hermione screamed and lunged at him.

The Gryffindors all crowded around him with concern. Ron appeared to be fine, but when he tried to answer them, he couldn't utter a word; instead, he burped, spitting out several shiny slugs.

The Slytherin members burst into laughter at the sight. The big guy blocking the Platinum Boy's way was doubled over with laughter, while the Platinum Boy himself was even more exaggerated, lying on all fours and pounding the ground with his fists as he laughed.

Lyra was very unhappy about this, so she decisively cast a silencing spell on the laughing Slytherin with her wand. Soon the Slytherin members on the other side realized they couldn't make a sound, and then they quickly found the culprit—after all, Lyra was standing there with her wand raised without any attempt to hide it.

Now the situation reversed. Two Slytherin boys that Lyra didn't recognize rushed towards her, but Fred and George, along with the rest of the team, gathered around and stood in front of Lyra to protect her.

The platinum-haired boy realized he had been cursed by Lyra. At first, he couldn't believe it, then he looked at Lyra with hurt eyes, and finally, anger appeared on his face.

Leila felt that the other person's emotions were a bit too complicated and a bit too inexplicable—the two had only exchanged a few words, so why was he putting on a hurt expression as if he had been betrayed by a friend?
