Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

Chapter 70 Stadium Conflict

The fact that they lost to Gryffindor last year made Captain Flint extremely anxious. In order to prevent such a tragedy from happening again, the captain risked being attacked by Dean Snape's venom and obtained the right to use the Quidditch pitch from him.

Coincidentally, on the very day Slytherin practiced, the Gryffindor players also arrived at the stadium, and indeed, they met on a narrow path.

After spending these few days together, Thea had gotten to know the captain's personality to some extent.

Judging from the expression on Captain Wood's face, Flint was definitely thinking of a word that started with the letter F.

"Hey! Flint! Are you guys going to training too?" Captain Wood of Gryffindor asked first.

“Oh! What a coincidence! You are too?” Flint, not to be outdone, was the first to extend his hand to shake hands.

The moment their hands touched, they both realized that the other had ill intentions.

Both of them used every ounce of strength they had, wishing they could just strangle each other on the spot to avoid the pain of watching.

The two remained locked in a stalemate, neither willing to give up first.

"Captain Wood, today Dean Snape granted us the right to use the Quidditch pitch. So..."

Thea didn't want to waste any more time and took the initiative to break the deadlock.

The two captains tacitly lowered their hands.

"Rights to use a Quidditch pitch?" Wood asked, somewhat puzzled.

Flint immediately took out the parchment the dean had given him and handed it to Wood.

The other person read the contents aloud, word by word, then asked with a puzzled look, "You have a new Seeker? Who is it?"

"It's me!" Draco swaggered out from the gaps made by his teammates, the word "pride" seemingly etched on his face.

"Put! Your brooms are a bit outdated!" Draco couldn't help but mock Harry when he saw him.

"You guys are using Nimbus 2001!" Before Harry could respond, a surprised voice came from the side.

Everyone looked toward the source of the sound and saw that the two people beside him were Ron and Hermione.

Flint explained, "This was a gift from Mr. Malfoy to our Slytherin team."

The statement itself seemed fine, but given Flint's expression, it came across as boastful to Thea.

Hermione, having just witnessed Draco mocking Harry's broom, and then seeing Thea standing by indifferently, was even more enraged. She retorted sarcastically, "At least the Gryffindor team members got in based on their real skills, not their family's money!"

Upon hearing this, Draco immediately objected and was about to retort, "Get out of here! You..."

"Draco!"

When Thea saw that Draco's expression was off, she immediately stopped him just as he uttered that word.

Brother! I advise you to learn your parents' ability to assess situations and make sound judgments!

Lucius managed to escape from the Death Eaters thanks to his ability to judge people, and Narcissa was even more remarkable, always calling him Miss Granger from beginning to end. She was a ruthless character who dared to deceive Voldemort during the final battle!

Sigh, Draco, you need to be more careful! After all, he's going to be Minister of Magic someday!

Draco realized what was happening after Thea reminded him, and immediately stood silently in the crowd, his gray-blue eyes filled with anger.

Seeing Draco's performance, the Slytherins subconsciously elevated Thea's importance even further.

They knew how arrogant and domineering Draco was. No matter what method Thea used to make this young master obedient, she was definitely a ruthless person!

Thea actually managed to tame this fearless young master, who was so stubborn that he might not even listen to his father!

Thea ignored their inner thoughts, didn't even glance at the Gryffindors, and said directly to Flint, "Captain, aren't we supposed to be training? Why aren't we leaving yet?"

Thea really didn't want to stay there any longer. She had to squeeze out time for herself, and she really had no interest in watching Draco and Harry argue.

Flint understood Thea's meaning and immediately called the team members over to train, ignoring the angry Gryffindors.

Watching his old rivals gradually walk away, Wood had no choice but to call everyone back to the changing room and arrange the next training session.

Seeing Harry's sullen expression, Wood assumed he was upset about not being able to train, so he comforted him, "It's alright, Harry. Slytherin was well-prepared today; we just didn't think of that."

Harry understood the other person's good intentions, smiled and thanked them, then ran out of the changing room to find Ron and Hermione.

"Hagrid, I don't understand. Thea is like a completely different person. She used to be so gentle..."

Harry, his friends, and Hagrid arrived at Hagrid's hut and couldn't help but confide in him.

“I think she’s up to no good! There’s not a single good Slytherin!” Ron interrupted before Hagrid could answer.

“Ron! Thea is a good person! Don’t say that about her! She might just be…” Hermione’s voice gradually lowered; she was also hurt by Thea’s “standing idly by.”

"See? Even you can't find a reason now!" Ron said triumphantly, as if he had won back a point.

“Ron, maybe Thea really has some kind of reason?” Harry also spoke up for Thea, still not believing that Thea had reverted to her true nature.

“You…you actually believe that Slytherin! She’s an evil Slytherin!” Ron stared at Harry, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Ron then turned his gaze to Hagrid, who remained silent.

Hagrid, noticing Ron's pleading look, scratched his head awkwardly and then handed Ron a basket of rock cakes.

Looking at the other person with expectant eyes, Ron was so embarrassed that he could only bite the bullet and take a bite.

The moment he took the bite, Ron didn't want to say a word.

He just wanted to leave this place and go somewhere where there was no rock-skin cake!

Harry and Hermione chuckled at Ron's grimacing expression and gave Hagrid a "well done" look.

Hagrid scratched the back of his head again, looking embarrassed.

Actually, he didn't want to say anything bad about Thea. Although he was prejudiced against Slytherin, it was because of... that person.

Unlike the other Slytherins, Thea would greet him politely and wouldn't run into the Forbidden Forest every day like those two troublemakers.

Not to mention that she had saved Harry's life in the Forbidden Forest before; for that reason alone, Hagrid couldn't bring himself to say anything bad about the girl.
